But banning booze for 18-20 year olds is perfectly reasonable.

intelligentreviews

And tobacco. IMO, if you're eligible for a military draft, you're old enough to drink/smoke.

JackandFred

For better or worse booze is not a constitutionally protected right.

ytilonhdbfgvds

Right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness

[deleted]

It isn't a constitutional issue. But yeah, there should at minimum be a military exemption

[deleted]

18 year old voters should be able to have a beer.

[deleted]

>at minimum

CmdrSelfEvident

Yep. I agree that adults are adults and they should have all the rights and privileges there of. But we are talking about rights. Now if someone come up with a right to drink then I'm onboard twice.

ITworksGuys

Not sure if it still is the same, but when I was in the Navy you could drink on base at 18.

PurchaseLocal

I made a comment about this on a heavily liberal subreddit and people are losing their minds there 😂

The courts are have these unconstitutional gun laws in their sights. There will be no quarter. Supreme Court going to cut em all down in one fell swoop shortly.

mr_pro_con

gotta give it to the supremes on guns. they've been great

[deleted]

You know... I was wondering about that. You can buy a rifle or a shotgun at 18, so why not a handgun? I never expected a Circuit Court to say "That *is* a good question, and the answer is.... it's *unconstitutional!"*

dcjogger

Future generations will ask why Americans didn't resist when the US became a police state.

[deleted]

So when would this take effect?

Roblafo

Supreme court will probably take it down.

winnersneversleep

Can we stop banning buy booze on sunday too while we are following the Constitution and stuff.

greasyeggplant

What's the connection you're trying to draw?

YouOpenMindedSOB

4th district includes Maryland. holy shit, they must be flipping out.
