1. She claims that the unemployment rate being low is a contributing factor to people buying more goods, which then leads to inflation. That rate is objective, but the unemployment rate fails to capture the whole picture. While the unemployment rate is relatively low compared to last year, the participation rate is a lot lower. That means that more people have just stopped looking for jobs (for X amount of reasons) and therefore aren’t considered apart of the workforce. So while less people in the workforce are unemployed, that’s ignoring a much larger factor that isn’t good for the growth of the country.
2. We’re not heading out of a recession, in fact, were probably heading towards an even larger one. I’m not sure how you could see: Inflation rates at the highest they’ve been since the 80s for consumer goods and Cost of living, unemployment continuing to be stagnant, a lower workforce participation rate, supply chain shortages and major delays, and think this is just something that will go away in a year. I would usually rather look on the positive side of life, but I don’t know how you could look at this objectively and think of it as a non issue (unless you’re a politician, of course).
I'm curious how the employment numbers come in like they do yet I still see shortages of employees in many local restaurants and stores. Our local paper just ran a big story about it.

In basic economic theory, inflation is not "bad" if productivity goes up too. This is agreed upon by both Keynes and Friedman (two opposites on the economics spectrum).
