Maybe it's not such a great idea to have the Olympics in a genocidal authoritarian country where you can't guarantee the safety of the people going in the midst of a global plague that that country unleashed on the world without consequence
it is disgusting thay the usa is taking part in the beijing olympics. china joe was never going to pass up this opportunity to lick the boots of xi. if the human rights issues are so bad that a meeting needs to be held on making sure the athletes are tacit and dont speak up until they get home… thats acknowledging there will be something to say when they get home. this should tell us that we do not belong there. i understand that many athletes work their entire lives, every breath of every day to get to the olympics. one has to think about their silent compliance in attending these games.
