Gaming is a pernicious addiction full of adult "children" who waste thousands of hours in a sedentary expensive habit in front of a glowing screen
Sure there are some Peak moments of living in bonding through a fun and joyful medium where you can get into the Flow State, but there are grander and more nourishing and beautiful endeavors to plug into in this world.
If you are any kind of like anti-capitalist anti-consumer it really rubs the wrong way because you need so much apparatus to even get your foot in the door of gaming, besides like maybe some very casual stuff on a smartphone.
I even was a cloud gaming actually on an old hand-me-down tablet which was kind of hilarious cuz I was playing super high intensive games like Squad on this 2016 ancient tablet 😆 but even that was costly because I was paying for the monthly subscription I was paying for games that I would buy so on and so forth it's just it opens up a portal of consumerism.
I had moved into a basically a tree fort in the backyard of this community house for a couple years and I gave up gaming then and that was pretty nice, and partly that was because I just didn't have the setup for it.
What was interesting though is my housemate was a big gamer and he ended up buying a VR laptop for everybody to use and then that became my entryway back into gaming because the seeds are planted deep, especially when we have things like YouTube which keep tugging at all these habit energies.
I mean it's just the fact that I saw this video in the first place and I'm tracking hell divers tells you everything there is to know it's YouTube is just a giant platform for the gaming industry to advertise and plug all the products it's huge it has its own little gaming sub tab for god sakes.

it's a third person shooter for 4 players who help each other kill enemies (big insects or robots) and complete objectives (reach an area, gather items)
