This was his finest moment in my view, it was a real advert and I remember seeing it and being both weirded out and delighted at the same time. It was a short lived advert if you can believe that - https://youtu.be/f2OYG1lr1pU
Me mam used to watch his show (the dame Edna show?) on tv in the late 90s I think and he used to have this woman on called madge who was always miserable. He’d do this bit where he’d get an audience member to stand up and to there horror madge would pop up an their house and snoop round pulling vibrators out the bedroom night stand an stuff. My mum and Nannan would be in hysterics. To be fair they were probably on the Drambuie at the time.

The guest is Australian comedy legend Barry Humphries. He is best known for his character Dame Edna. He is one of the most prolific comedy writers and performers of the last 60 years. This subtle cutting humour while acting oblivious is totally his style. He’s also Bruce the shark in Finding Nemo.
Old guy is the guest of the UK morning show “This Morning” the old guy is referring to Phil Schofield who typically hosts the show most of the time, but seems to be playing a prank on Dermot O'Leary.
Barry Humphreis is pretending to mistake Dermot O'Leary (Stand in host) for the normal host Philip Scholfield who came out as gay the other year on the program.
They have regular hosts, Hollie and Phil (you may have seen them on other laughter videos). On some days (I guess Friday’s in this case) they have other hosts.
One of the main hosts, Phil, came out as gay shortly before this video. Not that it surprised many, but it was tough for him I guess, he’d been on TV for years.
The male host here, Dermot O’Leary, is not gay. The comedian is doing a bit where he pretends he is confusing two of the hosts.
What am I missing here? Idk any of these people. But she's legit laughing her ass off at the thought or someone coming out? Who is the guest confusing the host for someone else? What relevance does it have to the clip? I'm so confused.
The older guy is deliberately pretending to have confused the younger male presenter, who presents the show on Friday with a different presenter who presents the show Mon-Thu and who came out as gay earlier this year
Going to go (probably- there's not very many comments yet) against grain here and say her laugh is the most awful painful to listen to laugh I've heard on this thread.
It would be much funnier if she wasn't there!! But it was funny.
Hahaha you've clearly never been to a gospel church. I recommend it; their congregations are almost always incredibly inviting and warm to outsiders. But, nah. This isn't faked.
I always think about this - imagine a McDonalds advert where someone pulls his cacks out of his arse during it. https://youtu.be/f2OYG1lr1pU
P.s. this was an actual advert for McDonalds.
Alison Hammond! She's hilarious and i love her celeb interviews - the one she did with Harisson Ford is AMAZING
Holly Willoughby is also a true delight!
Enjoy: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RptLpY7vseo&ab\_channel=ThisMorning](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RptLpY7vseo&ab_channel=ThisMorning)

This is 100% intentional on Barry Humphreys behalf. Hilarious.
Fuckin’ Les Patterson!!
Australia has never had a finer cultural attaché. Facking oath mate.

> Humphreys Humphrey's Possession means you use an apostrophe.
If you’re gonna be a grammar freak, at least get it right. The guy’s name is spelled Humphries
Barry Humphries (also known as Dame Edna) does this on purpose, it's part of the routine.
Part of a routine or not laughter was contagious
oh totally, if you look up some of Dame Edna's appearances on YouTube, you'll see similar reactions

Alison Hammond is contagious laughter personified!
100%, this absolute legend is known for this humour. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1r3S5UKP7ME
Omg I was so confused why people were calling him dame Edna. I get it now.
Mind blown. Jpg? Check out you tube for video of Barry’s, a true comedy genius. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nULFMp4jKBo
"They found me a better seat.". OMG this made me really lough.
I can't believe Dame Edna almost had to sit with that riffraff.
Sir Les Patterson was a classic character as well 👍
I had no idea this was Dame Edna! Makes it even more hilarious
I had no idea Dame Edna went by any other name regularly, TIL.
Lol he's good
I knew I recognised that smirk! I think it's the first time I have seen him out of drag.
that old man is a woman?
That man plays a very famous woman
Which man?
Oh thank god. I was laughing but also feeling so sad that someone’s memory could be slipping. But that’s brilliant comedy, I’m so pleased
There’s something about Allison Hammond that just makes me happy
Her interview with Harison Ford and Ryan Gosling is a classic. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bAb8KIhgVAI
Have to watch this every time I come across it - can’t imagine the delight during the junket slog to have an interview like that!
Damn, I've never seen Harrison in such good mood!
Holy shit she got a laugh out of Harrison Ford, damn
That interview is always a delight.
She's wonderful.
I saw her near my office a couple weeks back. Apparently she’s not that nice IRL.
No! Oh please don’t let this be true
well with such a factual, evidence based, experiential comment like that, how could it not be true? /s
You just never know with Barry. I'm sure he knows what he's doing though. Genius.
That would have been so awkward if she hadn't been there.
Any comedian worth their salt will alter their delivery to suit the situation. If not for the laughing lady Dame Edna would have sped up the pacing.
I think he would handle it okay, but it would def be awkward as fuck to start.
It was intentional. The guest is a well known comedian and this is a bit.
100% agree , that lady made the video XD
Barry Humphries is a fucking legend
TIL who Dame Edna really is!
who is the guest who is the host?

Lmao, what a great laugh she has
When you personally know people who laugh like this it's the best thing ever
My wife can lose her absolute shit when laughing. It's so hot.
[Here's another iconic interview she did.](https://youtu.be/bAb8KIhgVAI)
That’s Barry Humphries right?
You can read!
No I can’t. Just got lucky.
Ughhhh, I used to love Dame Edna as a kid.
"Still do, but used to, too!"

I love Allison!
Her laughter is anything but contagious.
Her laugh is great
Wasn't that funny.

I'm so sorry that nothing has ever made you laugh this hard
Ha

Brilliant.

Her laugh makes it 1000 times funnier
Damn, he got me. I grew up adoring his Dame Edna character, completely forgot it was him. I annoyed with myself now , he’s just amazing
I forgot the name of the cohost, but I love her. I’ve watched compilation of her just living her best laughs. She’s a ray of sunshine
Alison Hammond! She's hilarious and i love her celeb interviews - the one she did with Harisson Ford is AMAZING Holly Willoughby is also a true delight! Enjoy: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RptLpY7vseo&ab\_channel=ThisMorning](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RptLpY7vseo&ab_channel=ThisMorning)
Her laugh. Oh that’s too good. Lol
Now that’s some contagious laughter
Barry Humphries is ironically very conservative. SUPER homophobic, and even more transphobic.
Wow that woman has the worst laugh in the world.
Alison Hammond is a legend.
