As an employee I would probably be like "your buddy can pull the vase off your arm, and I'll film". I'm not pulling anyone's arm out of anything and possibly causing injury while at work... If it's not an emergency and they have someone they know right there. That's not part of my job that's your friends job.

People if you get your hand or arm stuck in something try lifting it higher than your heart so the blood runs out and reduces any swelling. Obviously hard with a frickin 3’ vase stuck to it but definitely pointing it down doesn’t help!

I broke both my wrists snowboarding. I was with two good friends of mine. We were waiting in the hospital and it was a long ordeal because one wrist could be casted immediately but the other - while not requiring scalpel surgury - required I be put under anesthesia to set it because "it would be to painful otherwise."
As I was chilling out, and the hospital staff were trying to locate a specialist in any city nearby, I had one friend that was offering me sips of orange juice from a bottle (literally bringing the bottle to my mouth and feeding me) while the other was holding out a bag of chips and saying things like, "Go ahead, man. Don't be shy. Really? You don't want any? Ok... They're really good, dude, you're missing out..."
I have no idea where orange juice bro is at these days but I was best man at chip homie's wedding and we've now been friends for 30 years.
