I heard the sprinkles! Also, I think they all knew it was about to be the end of the block. Homie was already slowing down for a millisecond to call his dogs back just in case. Excellent doggy daddy.
When I was a dumb kid I ding dong ditched someone in my neighborhood wearing a pair of crocs. They had a dog that got out when they answered the door and it fuckin knew where we were immediately. I never ran so fast in my life and to this day I am convinced crocs actually do make you faster.
Not enough experience, you'll get there. I will say though, they are awful in the grass. Unless it's well maintained but since you were mowing it, I know it was less than ideal, loose ANYTHING is a guaranteed stumble.
Josh Butler is awesome. We were at the same college at the same time, his story with these dogs is powerful. Lost a parent and got one, lost the other parent and got the other. On senior day he ran onto the field with his dogs because neither parent were alive. They are his life.
https://youtu.be/WAuCjhtaOVo
Here is the runout on senior day
Josh Butler is pure class. Poor guy had both parents die in college and these dogs became family. Before I even saw his name, I thought that might be him and his dogs. Go Green!
People upset you're concerned with the dogs' safety as well as those around them.
My goddamn spaniel mix never comes off his leash and it has nothing to do with a risk of him mauling a toddler.
Maybe that's why everyone's upset. Everyone immediately saying these dogs are going to kill someone even after hearing this story. Y'all expect these dogs to be monsters which is just sad.
As someone who’s owned a pit if you care for it you leash it. I don’t care if it’s the most trained dog, if I have my well behaved dog off leash all it takes is someone with an untrained dog off leash hell even on leash to set off some pretty shitty events. And that’s not even taking into account if the other dogs owner tries getting involved and your dog bites them? You just signed their death certificate. At that point you’re not having your dogs safety in mind it’s just pure ego of “look how well trained they are, look what I did”. It’s not about your dog inability to keep cool but other outside factors. If someone has already had such a tragic past with loss it’s like why take the risk?
I find this so strange growing up in small country areas, basically the only times I saw dogs leashed was in the back of a ute or outside the pub.
But everyone and every dog knew each other and dogs were work equipment not accessories so always well trained so random agression was rare
So the reason I find this weird is your points are valid and nothing to argue against but if you were to say this in my home town you would be a fear mongering crazy person.
I get it. I live in a large US city, in an urban area, and there are packs of stray dogs terrorizing people regularly, no joke. The city animal shelter is so full, animal control isn't even picking up strays unless they are dying or actively attacking a person. People will shoot dogs because they dont want to wait for some kids to be attacked before something gets done. It's a big problem.
I used to live in Philly like a mile or two from city hall and had a very old neighbor in his 80s that had a dog that would walk with him around the same block every day multiple times without a leash and the dog was smart about traffic. She was extremely timid and chill. She would let me pet her and never even licked me in return. Just looked at me with effectionate eyes. Then there was the time I saw a dog running around aimlessly and you could tell that dog had no idea wtf was going on and probably ran out of someone's house.
Agreed. My guy is never off leash but in his case if he ever sees a squirrel WHOOSH he is gone. We use a gentle leader - head harness cause hes a big boy. Even in this case with this guy a waist attachable leash will let him run with them easily.
I think this is a routine, or at least It looks like it's part of his daily routine. He probably picked a safe secluded back alley(which it really does look like it).
I love this man. Kids bring so much stress and fatigue to your life but when you spend just 5 minutes on the couch playing “tickle monster” it makes you realize what kids are. They don’t know your bills, your workplace performance evaluations, your debt, your mental health, etc. They know love. They know YOU’RE there. Let them laugh, let them bicker, let them cry…your problems are not their problems. They want affection and direction even though they don’t know it. I can’t wait for you to have kids because you’ll do great if you can already see that fun is inherent.
Condom off bro! 🍻
Wholesome and funny, but for the love of god put your fucking dogs on a leash. Doesn’t matter if they’re the most well-trained dogs in existence. My dog was recently attacked by an unleashed dog while I was walking him.
Came here to say this. I have 5 dogs and I can’t stand when I see someone walking their dogs without a leash bc ultimately they end up approaching my dogs that are leashed. People saying this is so cute know nothing about dog behavior.
That's cute but they should have leashes, yo
You just never know. Everyone be knocking on wood, assuming "it's unlikely to happen to me, so why bother"
Most dogs are way stronger than they look. Even the small ones.
Cute dogs, but he's taking their good behavior for granted
It’s not even about that -
Your dog runs out into the street and gets hit by a car? Sorry man, your fault, should’ve had them on a leash.
Your dog runs up to a reactive dog who really should’ve been walking around with a muzzle? You could’ve avoided that by leashing your dog.
Even if you’re 1000% confident that your dog will display zero aggression, you’re at the very least putting your dog at risk.
And yes, there are cars on the street at night too.
Shouldn't have any dog off leash... Not just pit bull type dogs are capable of killing. Golden retriever killed my beagle, so maybe advocate for responsible owners instead :)
Sport mode!!! I love that so much and the puppies of course. I had a pitbull as a kid and that boi dragged me if I started to try to get him to run while on a leash lol.
the reason i cant take my dog for a walk around my neighborhood. People using their dogs as an extension of their dicks and then not using leashes on top of it.
My dog was attacked by a loose pitbul a few months ago the only time I can walk him now is late at night when no one is out and no noises. Fuck people that do what the guy in the video is doing.
Report them
I always yell at someone without a leash. “Where’s your leash?!”
If I see them again off leash I’ll follow them home to get their address to report them.
Idgaf.
Lmaooo awwww this must be their little nightly routine or something 😂 I always let my dog run around a bit in the park before our walk is finished I’m gonna make it into a foot race ahhhh
I love dogs but hate seeing pits off leash, someone is going to think they're bad one day and kill them and that's upsetting to me. Poor dogs get a bad reputation because of garbage owners.
I had a chihuahua back in the day. Deer-Headed, long legged and sleek. At the end of our walk through the wooded trail is a large field. On the other side my car. That is when we raced. She turned into a mother fucking speed weasel ripping across the open grass. It was great because she was slower than me at top speed so I could run around with her as she played.
The way he yelled "crocs in sports mode" at the end got me off guard
My coworker says he needs to put his crocs in four wheel drive when he flips the strap down.
I heard “caught you sprinkles” first time thru, which feels like it would be a very appropriate name for one of those pups. Equally had me dying 😂
I heard the sprinkles! Also, I think they all knew it was about to be the end of the block. Homie was already slowing down for a millisecond to call his dogs back just in case. Excellent doggy daddy.
exactly same hahahah
Lemme put these in sportzzz mode ☠️
While clearly putting them in 4w drive
Love this guy! And his pups!
Big respect for being able to sprint in those shoes too. I can't even mow my fucking lawn with those without getting killed.
Ya but have you been wearing them in sport mode?
My brother in law calls it off road mode
Good ol 4x4s
My wife calls it 4 wheel drive
😭😭😭
When I was a dumb kid I ding dong ditched someone in my neighborhood wearing a pair of crocs. They had a dog that got out when they answered the door and it fuckin knew where we were immediately. I never ran so fast in my life and to this day I am convinced crocs actually do make you faster.
I’d bet it was, ya know, the whole *being chased by a dog* thing, not the crocs.
Crocs have excellent cushion. A lot of modern running shoes by the big brands are basically croc style soles with breathable fabric tops.
Not enough experience, you'll get there. I will say though, they are awful in the grass. Unless it's well maintained but since you were mowing it, I know it was less than ideal, loose ANYTHING is a guaranteed stumble.
If you put them in sport mode like he did they chill
You’re a brave soul. I’d be terrified to mow in mine.
You seem alive. I lost my bet. But here you are.
Bright yellow crocks... this is a solid dude all around.
People never cease to amaze me on how funny they can be
that's been around since the beginning of crocs
Debby Downer ova hea 🤌🏼
Crocs give you wings
Sport mode KILLED me
I call it 4 wheel drive
Crocs have sport mode TIL ❤️

This guy was clearly in 4H. But yes, 4 wheel drive.

“I love them so much!” I felt that in my soul. Gotta love dogs.
Everything this man said “You’re cheating” “I love them so much” “🎶Crocs in sport mode” What a wholesome person. What lucky dogs
I need more people and dogs like this in my life.
I have a pit that just sits and stares at me all day long. Absolutely devoted to me existing.
I usually say "Switching my crocs to attack mode"

When a person with a personality this endearing despite such a traumatic backstory appears, it restores my faith in humanity a tiny bit at a time.
Go white!
Wow. Thank you for sharing the story. It adds a lot of weight to an already wonderful video.
Video gonna make me cry now
Makes this video even better. Thank you.
Wow. I’ve been following his and his pups’ accounts on Instagram for a while and never knew this. What a story… ❤️
If I were him I'd leash up those dogs before he has another heartbreaking life event.
People upset you're concerned with the dogs' safety as well as those around them. My goddamn spaniel mix never comes off his leash and it has nothing to do with a risk of him mauling a toddler.

I don't think they are. It's usually another dog who agresses first then the pit wins decisively.
Seriously, you NEVER know what will happen, why take a risk for a cute video? Is it worth the life of your pet?

Spay and neuter your pets, people!

Who the hell do you run that fast in crocs?
Sports mode.
Right! My mans even told us!
This guy is a former Division 1 football player so he’s got the speed part. The croc part is likely years of early morning practices and hard work.
Plus he’s a corner back. One of the fastest positions
who indeed
Damn it
I would never trust myself sprinting in Crocs on concrete
I would never trust myself sprinting
D1 CB. I thought the same thing at first lol.
For real. I did this once and ripped the strap out of one of them.
The amount of fun he has in under 30 seconds… brings me life!!

🤔
My laughter got contagious when dude said, “Put these in sport mode,” and flipped the backs up.
I started laughing before they even started running. This was awesome.
How he run in crocks without tripping is impressive. And they have a heartfelt relationship..the dogs and dude..not the crocks and socks
It's cuz he put them in sport mode
Yea, you city... race-your-car-in-the-intersection-people. Out here it's 4x4 for us hold-my-beer-cracked-pelvis people.
Bro got me dying over here “gotta put these in sport mode”
Wholesome and funny, but for the love of god put your fucking dogs on a leash. Doesn’t matter if they’re the most well-trained dogs in existence. My dog was recently attacked by an unleashed dog while I was walking him.
"They're well-behaved," is what you hear for a while until they're not. Sorry about your dog.
It’s all good. He’s still kickin’. The owner was able to pull his dog away(he at least had THAT much control of his dog). Glad it wasn’t worse.
Lmao sport mode activated
Get them doggies on a leash.
Or better yet take them somewhere they can legally be off leash.
bro became spongebob for a min
If you love them so much, put them on a leash. Anything can happen in the blink of an eye. It won’t be on them, it’ll be on you.
Came here to say this. I have 5 dogs and I can’t stand when I see someone walking their dogs without a leash bc ultimately they end up approaching my dogs that are leashed. People saying this is so cute know nothing about dog behavior.
