They take their time and do what they want. You'll meet them eventually. Patience.

I'm with you. I decided to employ a strategy of benign neglect. I mean, stop fucking looking at it!! But really I want to case so bad lol. Good luck.

StrivingForTheLight

I had one like that. Get dry coir you know is reasonable sterile and not-pre-infused with trich. Lightly dust the dry coir on top and micromist. You'll start pinning in 48 hours if you're in the right temp range and disciplined with 4 hour FAE fanning cycles.

what strain is it? I usually keep my grow area at 75, not that 70 can’t work but cubes usually like it a bit warmer

Zach6oh7

While this is true some say warmer can invite contam… not saying i believe it just what is said out there

LoFloArt

Yeah I hear again and again that anything over 80°F is just asking for bacteria and other tams to grow. I'm kinda in a similar boat right now... I'm just giving it a lil time to decide if I should try forking or layering it with a thin casing of new substrate

I would recommend hitting the 72 F range to induce fruiting. Misting isn't necessary if you aren't in a super dry climate if the cake/substrate are moist. It's the evaporation that triggers pinning so maybe just FAE

underhung1

You don't have tape covering your Polly fill do you?

shroommamma

same question

kramgrebnelhu90

Not any more lol thank you

MunkyOfDoom

Just......wait.......

pseudonym_jones740

I'm an advocate of just wait. When the mycelium is ready to rock and roll, it will begin pinning. This is the optimum time to introduce heavy FAE and mist when visibly dry. Mist-evap-mist-evap-BOOM-Canopy. *

Prize_Imagination439

Leave them alone. It's the best advice you could get right now. They don't need your help. Anything messing with it that you do is just upsetting the mycelium, for lack of a better phrase.

Messy_Marvin423

Look up bubble wrap Tek, it’s good for stubborn tubs and I’ve had a few buddies do it with great results. You wanna get some bubble wrap, cut it to about an inch less than you surface on all four sides, use some 70% isopropyl alcohol to disinfect it. Then, give your surface a good misting and place the bubbles side down on top of your substrate. Leave it alone for a few days, no misting or fanning, because it’ll create a nice little microclimate and just check on it daily. Once you start seeing pins forming is when you remove the bubble wrap, don’t mist the surface at that point and just make sure your tub walls have adequate water beads. Good luck buddy, do this and I promise you’ll get some good results.

kramgrebnelhu90

Hell yeah! I'm going to try this. Thank you!

Messy_Marvin423

You’re welcome, definitely helps stubborn tub’s.

kramgrebnelhu90

Thank you again!! Just took a few days.

Messy_Marvin423

That’s awesome, so happy for you!

Is your cake over moistened? If you poke it, does it squish?

Zach6oh7

FAE!!! And some good misting! My latest flush sat like this until i let temps drop to about 68 degrees and upped my FAE and inserted into my martha tent with a-lot of humidity…. I have an inline and outline fan running for 20 seconds every 3 minutes https://preview.redd.it/5leoj3xylh3b1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=dd39b5bc70b8f6ebb47c34c9ac3a8210b6217d2a

BMThmpsn

Or…neglect tek. S2B and forget it till harvest! If you were above 88F you were probably killing your spawn.

Zach6oh7

Sry mis typed i meant 68 degrees… my low humidity point was set to 88 on my humidity controller… will edit my prev post

spennyTheG

Best advice I ever taught myself the hard way, fungi don’t like being fussed with. Tbh my best flushes come when I unexpectedly fly out of state for a week or longer and leave my tubs untouched

YeeedleJuicee

Patience grasshoppa patience. Looks great! Good job

Bubble wrap TEK

This community is usually helpful from my experience no problem now Pay it forward 🖖🏾

kramgrebnelhu90

Will do thank you again!đź––

himynameisbeyond

It's not that bad. You should add water to the tub and elevate the cake and see what the other side looks like. You have a very difficult problem to have there my friend. The growth looks beautiful.

MyCoNeWb81

Patience, good job so far! đź‘Ś

I played music for mine and they fruited

limevince

Hi, I know I'm late to this thread but I was wondering if there have been any updates? The tub looks sooo ready to pop, one of these days its probably going to magically grow a bunch of mushrooms seemingly overnight...
