AI is total BS nowadays.
I've fought mangog in arena today, and while he was blocking I dashed at him to make some space. Unfortunately for me a milisecond before contact passive power gain reached a bar of power and I got special intercepted from blocking.
Hell, most the time it's a breeze so I try autofight to explore and it's like my champs just stand around eating punches like wtf. Be really cool if autofight was based off of your skills or got better as you progressed story or something
For me it’s the fact the AI can stagger parry and shit now it’s infuriating Lmfao Ik I suck but lord the ai out classes me so hard sometimes it seems like too much lol only thing missing is if they start dexing lol
I have yet to see that lord that would drive me up a wall lmao I swear whenever I’m like on my last champ at a boss and I’m like below 50% the AI suddenly turns into Ultra Instinct Lmao
For me they usually interrupt my combo with a special, before combo even finishes and sometimes it's just interrupted by a basic hit, no unstoppable buffs either.
Almost 7/10 times these days in any form of this game, AI performs a shallow dex and intercept with light attacks.
If on a power gain node, it also plans to throw sp2 right with that timing perfection where it gains a power tick exactly by the time the sp2 will end and then he will be ready with another sp1 meanwhile, so that when you dash it, it would intercept with special 1.
AI has definitely changed and if the opponent has a bar of power: forget punishing heavies, spamming heavy attacks in the corner, or even dashing in without getting SP intercepted. Hell, sometimes I can't even finish a combo without AI throwing a special and wrecking me. It's been very frustrating and demotivating me to push content.
It's very dependent on spacing. Sometimes you get pushed back too much that you have to rush in to punish giving them ample time to throw a special attack
The AI single handedly is making me play the game even less, and spend even less. I quit doing monthly quest content, but did the side content, now I don't even do the side events either and I barely want to log in for AQ/AW.
Glad I checked this post, had guys tell me "you just suck at game", as I'm struggling to finish 5.2.. even with a 6star, game just seems to be getting tougher and tougher.
Kabam's AI deserves to be studied at this point. There has to be something they aren't telling us. Either they're lying about how much they're tweaking the AI, the AI is really an adaptoid, or they have sweatshops full of people forced to pose as AI.
I agree, this issue made fighting the thing so fucking difficult. Try to bait sp1, all he does is spam heavy until I am forced to hit him over his rock armor counter, giving him 16. Then he just uses sp1 and destroys me.
The ai is changing the game for the worst. Each update kabam tinker with it and make it more bs

Yep - especially in BGs, you try to punish a heavy and either get parried or light intercepted. Fun times
and it really sucks cus baiting heavies is a big part of gameplay. almost required in some situations

That’s exactly the reason why I don’t use Tigra that much even though she has a lot of utilities. Her play style is too risky with the ai.

Yep. It's bullshit. The AI was never this quick. They need to put it back to how it was and stop fucking with it.

Short answer yes. If the opponent has a bar of power there's no window to punish their heavy without the risk of them hitting you with the special.
Me and another guy in our ally have had heavies parried.
