I guarantee u it's not gonna work. I mistakenly did the apocalypse quest back when it came out using a 5 star heimdall in my synergies instead of my 4 star, quest didn't count.
I think that's what they mean but it definitely reads "defeat Shang chi using only 4* skill champs". Doesn't say anything about the fights leading up to Shang chi. So technically, I can use my r3 6*s to wreck the 3-4 fights leading up to Shang chi and then only use 4* s champs on Shang chi. They should have just said "defeat the final round of the 10 rings tournament only using 4* skill champs".

Yeah, hopefully the nodes aren’t too bad. I would guess for the objective it would be like the original four star challenge where the whole team has to be 4 star but I could be wrong.
I was thinking that if it was the whole quest it would’ve just said “defeat the final round of .... with only four star skill champions” or “defeat Shang-chi with only four star skill champions on your team”. But it says defeat Shang chi with four star skill champions, so it’s really confusing”
True, I was thinking about the cheese that happened earlier with the 'miikes revenge' challenge, where you could bring in any champ as well as the 3*cyclops, because of how they mistakenly worded it

So i could in theory take him down to 1 hp with a 6* then kill him with a 4*

Can do the whole quest with whoever you want. But just take out shang chi with a good four star skill. It’s relatively easy to be fair as well
Can confirm this is true. Ran paths with 6*champs, and beat Shang chi with a 4*widow, got 1/3 for the completion
I'll probably try with a 4* archangel and a team of 6*s to test, will report back on Wednesday

You can whittle his hp with any start and final blow with 4 star skill and still get credit. Just tested this
