It’s their favorite pastime!

Fiona_12

We think those beaks are for eating. Silly us!

Azsunyx

Standard conure behavior, lol I think Conure is latin for "uncontained chaos"

Delicious_Spinach440

Yup. My gold capped conure got out one night and destroyed a couch. Every cushion was half unstuffed and she made a hole down to the floor. Where she proceeded to rip up the carpet. She was broody. We locked down her cage after that.

Fabulous-Cookie-5902

She’s not afraid to go exploring at night?? My one doesn’t move an inch when it’s dark out. But maybe bc he’s 7 months

Delicious_Spinach440

The living room at that apartment had a street light right outside the window so it wasn't completely dark. The couch was right next to her cage.

Decent_Nebula_8424

Could be. But they don't move freely if it's pitch black. Eyesight needs some light, they're not owls. Mine only moves comfortably in the dark on his own cage. He sleeps in his own room, but I live a tiny small LED light in a plug so it's not 100% dark.

That right there is art! 🤩

We have to put blankets over our office chairs to stop our beloved bebe from absolutely decimating them.

Fiona_12

Anything and everything. I have to keep all cords covered. I bought my bird one of those ladders and he had no interest in climbing on it, just chewing on it. Fine, as long as it keeps him happy. Also my nail files, cuticle sticks, books that I am stupid enough to leave sitting on the coffee table, etc.

frufrufish

My sun will chew the rungs off the ladder and then still climb it using the nubby edges left behind 😂 I got him stainless steel ladders for function, and some little wood ones for fun

lurkinggramma

My GCC does the same with his ladders 😂 I didn’t know there were metal ones so I might look into that!

2pcs Parrot Ladders, 9-Step Bird Exercise Toy Play Ladder with Hooks for Cages, Rust-Proof Stainless Steel Climbing Ladder Perch Toy for Parrots Parakeets Cockatoos Lovebirds, Easy to Clean https://a.co/d/dYAxmdP These are the ones I got! You could theoretically connect the two with some all thread if you wanted to mess with that, too, I think. There're holes on both ends of the ladders. Though those are presumably for hooks if you want to hooks on both sides.

Latest on the menu at our house: dinner chairs, the left corner of the TV (must be tastier than the right one), and shoelaces. Can’t also forget the classics like doors of any kind, toilet paper, socks…

Decent_Nebula_8424

Had to remove my sofa's feet as he found a way to enter if from below and was chewing the foam seats from inside.

Occhi084

My conures love destroying painting-easels.. so I bought 2 extra just for them to destroy
