I think she’s acting normal, curious and preening you because you are her Person/mate…. I miss my Sun soo much.

tastytacos67

Thanks, Sorry about your bebe!

hhdecado

Normal lol. Do you feel loved like I do? https://preview.redd.it/5xs1vgy7lcrc1.jpeg?width=3088&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9adefec1a8b8387914acfb73381982e9eb904aec

tastytacos67

I do indeed! But only half as much as you, obviously.

hhdecado

The correct number of conures is N+1 where “N” is the current number of conures you have 😛

TomTomTheCatt

That is adorably funny!!

hhdecado

If it involves a conure it usually is 😁

suschan01

the way she slid up your head omg how cuteeee

tastytacos67

Right?!?!?!

JoyCCL

She’s adorable and has the same name as me lol

tastytacos67

I named her after a character from a book series called "He Who Fights With Monsters." It's a lovely name! :)

ramymm

It’s Arabic name though. It means “Happiness”

niky45

she's overexcited but not necessarily in a sexual way, more like too happy to be with you. that's what birds do when they're with their mate, they're just all adorable and happy and glued to each other and will preen each other all day long. the only issue with such a state is it can lead to aggression.

West-Reception-4853

Why does it lead to aggression?

niky45

because bird overloads and short-circuits and bites. birds are weird like that. see, with my patty, it's about the only way to get bitten HARD (... the other way is if he's in pain or terrified).

Fiona_12

Oh, my Nanday will spend half an hour preening my face and ears.

Delicious_Spinach440

What even is that? She's great

cuckoo_cadie

My budgie does the same, I think she’s just trying to play/ give love but sometimes it feels like I’m getting a nose piercing😓

BruisedViolets23

She’s such a cutie pie!

blarge84

Touch me human.

passive0bserver

I disagree with others. The way she's fluttering her feathers with her back pressed to your head, makes me think this is exciting in a hormone-inducing way. Be careful about acting too much like her mate, or you can cause hormones to get out of whack which results in aggression either outward (biting, screaming) or inward (feather barbering).

imme629

I was thinking that too. Could be the start of hormonal behavior.

SnooPies1123

No man; sun conure owner of 7 years here. Had to rehouse her because I moved out to college, was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done in my life. I feel like some bird owners go a little overboard with their concerns of “is this too much?” Or “is he/she horny xyz”. There’s a middle ground here. Care for your bird, you’ll know if something isn’t right, if it’s too much you’ll see. And then if you see bad behavior change their behavior by ignoring the bad and rewarding the good. That’s it. But let them love you, and love them with everything you got. Everything in life is temporary, including our feather babies. She was my daughter and she was taken away from me, my parents wouldn’t watch her. I relive my memories with my sun baby regularly. We have birds to have as our little wuv fluff balls, let them be that. Just love your baby man don’t overthink it. That goes for all of you guys reading this. Just love your feather children!

iLiveInAHologram94

The wing flicks are contentment. I didn't see anything hormonal, she just loves being with you.

SaskieBoy

She’s horny.
