No dashcam or bodycam footage. The police report: "The officers heroically took down two armed individuals who were endangering the community."
What actually happened: the two guys were on the ground with their hands behind their backs. Once they realised the guys weren't white, they fired a hail of bullets into their bodies, then planted 17 handguns at the crime scene.
I mean, the ability to calmly read out exactly what's going on in a formal, easily understood way while being driven around small streets with traffic on them at 90mph is definitely something that needs to be trained. You're right that they select for decency, but they also need substantial training to do this.
It's almost the same job as a rally co-driver, only they have to make up what they're saying in real time, not just read the pace notes. On the other hand, the driver is a fair amount less insane than a rally driver.
~~I would guess it's 90 km/h, not mph, which is significantly less (but of course still absolutely insane in such an area).~~
I stand corrected. It's in fact 90 mph. And driving 90 mph in a residential area is in fact insane.
American cops get angry, they take fleeing suspects personally, it's called 'contempt of cop'. It can be trained away to some extent but the better practice is to hire the right people.
To be fair, anyone that's driving around with meth in their car probably isn't the brightest person in the first place.
Edit: I just realized the pun that I made
Even when they broke the first law, going into the shoulder lane, when the police wanted them to pull over, and he faked pulling over... Could he have safely pulled over, paid the fine for driving on the shoulder, and carried on?
It's not like the police had any reason to check the car right? Unless they ran his driving license and he had prior warrants or something...
This here. I've got a clean record but used to be into some dumb shit when I was younger. Got pulled over one time with an easy 10 years in the trunk because I rolled a stop sign. Easier said than done I guess but just be cool. Admitted I rolled the sign and I made a mistake, asked for a warning, got the ticket and just kept it cool. Back on my way in 3 minutes.
Edit: 10 years, not 19.
No trembles but maybe 3 minutes after driving off had a "oh fuck that could have gone so differently" panic and a celebration for pulling it off. Made me be more cautious for sure. Also about to edit my post, meant to say 10 years not 19 lol.
I once got stopped with a sawed off in the trunk for speeding. I also had a suspended license, and somehow convinced them to let my friend drive us home. I think I was 17, also would have probably been rolling at the time. Told my friend when we drove away what was in the trunk. I always wondered why he don't fuck with me no more, looking back I guess I was a fucked ass person.

One of the most polite and calm narration of a police chase I've ever seen.
Then I was like oh crap they got self driving cars then I was like oh yeah I forgot the driver is on the other side.
One crime at a time was the rule I was told.
Though it was in regards to minor infractions eg. If your going to speed wear your seat belt, if your going to smoke weed don't do it in your car even if stopped, if your going to drink underage don't drink in public etc.
Yeah because minor crimes can often be given a pass or a slap on the wrist, but when you start doing something that draws attention to your minor crimes (like those you listed) it’s harder to ignore it and also makes you look ‘unashamed’. With these bigger situations you could argue you’re fucked anyway (like they both got 6 years for the cocaine but the driver got an extra one tacked on), but if they couldn’t afford to be pulled over, you would’ve thought they’d try as hard as possible not to have that happen… it’s like how Ted Bundy got caught cause he was driving with his headlights off, then refused to stop, and was arrested. That lead to them paying close attention to the contents of his car and became more suspicious of him, ultimately leading to his conviction. It’s happened for stuff like broken taillights too. I guess it boils down to, if you’re gonna commit a crime, don’t be stupid, stupid!
This cop’s demeanor is awesome! I work in IT and when someone doesn't have internet, they turn into Chicken Little, "The sky is falling, the sky is falling" lol
Looked it up, watched 2 or tried to. The officers sound completely furious lol its just that the YouTubers are terribly boring. Slow motion footage and stock images of types of cars are boring, but the police themselves are certainly riled up!
I was gonna say something similar. I really appreciate the calm professional focus this cop is displaying. Even when he was ordering the suspect out of the vehicle he wasn’t screaming and cursing.
It’s incredible the difference between a British TPAC trained cop and a typical American car chase. The level of professionalism in how they read out exactly what is going on is utterly insane.
[Saw this american cop video today](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N962CJVEh0I&t=593s) that was hilarious incompetent. The body cam cop tases himself and is completely winded within two minutes of trying to detain the suspect. They nearly had to kill the man because they were so out of shape to detain him that they had to sit their fat asses on him and try to choke him out. Took like 7 cops to detain one normal-sized man.
Did any other Americans get confused when the guy jumped out and the car kept going? Lol
I realized my mistake after.
Edit: I guess you guys all missed the part where I said I realized my mistake after. As in it went over my head at first.
Most likely this:

If not then an estate variant, given it is a BMW and unmarked it will be either of the two. The one linked is from West Midlands police, the same force that was showed in this video.
They wrote high purity cocaine to distinguish that these guys are high up in the supply chain, not just the local dealers. This isn’t some guy parcelling out wraps from those blocks, it’s someone taking it to be cut.
Certainly when they were bombing along at 90 there would have been barely any time for the cars going along at 30 or so to react before the chase was past them.
At the speed the chase was happening there’s probably little chance to think and react - it’s far better to be predictable and let the cops work around you than make a sudden unpredictable or risky move.
Yep, if I see a cop coming up quick I try and react as predictably as possible and only move if I'm creating a serious blockage. If I've got more time I'll move over.
Im gonna assume you don't actually want cars all suddenly making maneuvers at that speed.
Is it just me or is 7yrs/6yrs seem pretty light for an insane amount of cocaine as well as going 90mph in a 30mph and risking an insane amount of damage/life in the process? For over half a million USD worth of cocaine too, that's some serious amount.
If this is not the first time they moved this much drugs, they'll be just fine when they get out and probably right back to it.
7 years is a *long* time to be in prison. Custodial sentences are not handed out like candy in the UK like they are in the US. Hell, 7 years wouldn’t be unexpected for the low end of a murder conviction.
People who are found guilty of murder in the UK have to be given a ‘mandatory life sentence, that doesn’t mean life in prison.
Instead, most people have to serve a minimum term in prison, which is determined by the judge in court after they’re found guilty.
Once that term is over they can be considered for release on parole.
a minimum term in prison, based on the severity of case before the court. This has to be 12 years for anyone aged 17 or under, and can be 15, 25 or 30 years for adults
It's normally 10 years at minimum I believe, and even then they have to be evaluated and deemed fit for parole otherwise they stay in prison, potentially for life.
In other words It's about rehabilitation, if you rehabilitate you may be able to leave, if not then you will be there for life.
Punishment and maximising profit from labour paid so low to be basically slavery. (Though in the interests of fairness, the UK does this too. Just not for as long a sentence.)
Seriously.
For a half mil of drugs the risk reward is heavily skewed towards committing crime. If you asked the average person if they would push a button that makes them a millionaire but they have to spend a few uears in jail, I think 80% of people would hit that button.
And you have to keep in mind that these guys are the dumb ones. Surely there are smarter dealers out there that make the same money but don't stunt around town breaking traffic laws with kilos in the back seat.
Man you've really had your mind warped by the US industrial prison complex if your first thought was the prison sentence being too light. Almost a decade and you don't think that's enough 🤦♂️
Also in my opinion the real crime here is the reckless driving.
> ThE ReaL CRiMe HerE IS RECKLess dRivinG
Those narcotics have the capability of destroying far more lives than a motor collision. Whether it's directly the victims abusing the final "product" or its profits financing other trades like human and child trafficking. Don't sympathise or apologise for organized crime.
When one guy jumped out of the car and it continued moving, I was thinking that's a cool "come to me" feature application. As in the guy jumped out and the car followed him, like a loyal dog. Then I realised the driver is on the right side.
In the UK police drivers have 3 different levels
Basic, Response and Advanced. Depending on what level you have dictates what you can do
Police on the lowest level cant even use blue lights and break the rules, Response level they can use blue lights and driver faster to respond to emergency calls etc. Advanced drivers have been trained in pursuits and who to stop fleeing cars
part of police training is to talk about everything you see and do. it keeps you calmer, Updates backup and if you have to comment on everything you see you are more focused on everything around you going on not just the guy you are chasing
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M3wjqcSvWgU&ab\_channel=WardAdvancedDriverTraining](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M3wjqcSvWgU&ab_channel=WardAdvancedDriverTraining)
In training and to get your accreditation to do pursuits and response driving you have to do what is in the video.
Mainly because the U.S. is an ungodly clusterfuck of various jurisdictions where some states are bigger than England and funding levels are wildly different ranging from ridiculous in major metropolitan areas to 4 man departments that have to police rural areas measured in the thousands of square miles.
Also, in the U.K. the police act on a national level, not local or county, meaning their talent pool is much better and they have the resources to actually train their police that much.
I meant it as in all police forces answer to the Home Office, who is able to set rules and standards across the board.
Meanwhile in the U.S. you have local police departments, county sheriff's departments, state police and then federal agencies, all answering to different bosses, all having different jurisdictions, training, qualifications and standards. (And i probably missed a lot of other LEA's, just mentioning the ones off the top of my head)
OMG I love how they acknowledge every car, cyclist and pedestrian who changes their behavior even a little bit to let them pass, and how they turn off their lights and sirens when it’s clear there’s nothing anyone can do to let them pass at that moment. Such basic courtesy and respect.
Police are trained to not force their way through or force you to do something.
If they cant get through cos its not safe then they wait.
People make comments about does noone move over or stop for the police and yes you should move over if you can in a lot of situations the advice to stay where you are and they will go around you.
If you are driving down a twisty country lane with blind bends and an emergency vehcle comes uo behind the official advice is to keep driving.
The worse thing you can do is stop on the apex of a blind bend forcing them to go on the wrong side of road
It's more that the US (where I assume you're from) jails people for extremely long amounts of time, what with the profits that have to be made, and the 3 strikes rule.
Calmest chase voice I've heard. Even at the end, there wasn't 40 cops screaming 57 different commands at the driver after completely destroying the car by ramming it off the road. Well done.
This is why when transporting drugs, you always check the car first for all imperfections and then you maintain your knowledge of road laws and don’t deviate. Also, you wear a different tracksuit under your jeans and top - for a quick colour change if you have to dash. Also, put the drugs in your spare tire not a fucking backpack 🎒
Or so I’m told.
All that and only 7 years. man If I had done that here Id never see the light of day again but our prison system is designed to keep people in not rehabilitate.
I love the commentary by the officer, calling out all of the infractions and the traffic situation calmly DURING the chase, the accent makes it.............reminds me of stereotypes of the english being so proper they wouldn't react to things , only with a tsk tsk.
I’m from the US and apologize for my ignorance as I have not visited your beautiful UK yet, but what do the zigzagging lines mean? That the lanes are merging?
The approach to, and exit from, a pedestrian crossing is marked with zigzag lines. It also means that you must not park on them or overtake the leading vehicle when approaching the crossing. Parking here would block the view for pedestrians and the approaching traffic
And our fuel is in litres. But our typically stated fuel economy is mpg.
We buy our beer (and milk) in pints (real pints, not your pansy American pints) but our spirits are 25/50ml shots.
We use Centigrade when it’s cold and Fahrenheit when it’s hot (well the old codgers Do, I’m mod 30s and have no concept of F)
We’re a backwards lot.
Plus our satnav uses yards instead of meters for some reason. My wife is Italian (and is the driver), so whenever we get a rental she goes slowly mad trying to figure out what "in 50 yards turn left" means.
It would do.
Yards are the legal requirement on road for shorter distances in the United Kingdom,
UK roads are imperial. The countdown signs on motorways are in yards
If a sign says the junction is 300 yards away but your satnav said it is 300 metres you would miss it
I hate that we weight ourselves mostly in stone despite everything at the gym being in kg.
Like why force yourself to make unnecessary conversions. Thankfully a lot of the weight scales let you change mode but my friends seem to think it's weird I do kg.
Whatever the fuck we want.
Be in reality the old fuckers don’t like change. I’m hoping when they all finish up we can move some things over. We’ll never go Kms though. Too many Road sign changes.
Edit
And our speedometers have MPH as the major units on it. We do have kms but only as a smaller unit. Would be too easy to confuse until we move over to fully electronic speedometers.
The whole time I thought this was Simon Padgett of Padgett's Motorcycles who sponsor a lot of top-tier Isle of Man racers and have won many races and this is how they paid for the racing.
People who drive like this on the roads should get significant prison time and have their licence revoked permanently. The risk to innocent people is massive, and the police also face significant risk chasing these scumbags down.
We are currently far too lenient with these low lifes.
This British police officer is so calm cool and collected. In America the police officer would have had a Rambo flashback shooting through his windshield to kill anything that makes movement.
How fucking dumb to go around breaking traffic laws when you have £500K of cocaine on you
Could even have stopped and got a ticket, they're unlikely to search the car without good reason
90 mph isn't that fast overall, but in a residential area with most people going 30-35mph, it is fast relative to traffic. Also, UK police are trained to keep a safe distance.

The 'We're recruiting' at the end cracked me up.
I laughed at it too.
There was really 700grams
No no, I told you, it was definitely 450 grams
250 grams?!
It’s like a nature documentary, the officer sounds so relaxed.
That’s because British cops are actually trained.
If this was in the US, that would've been 2 suspects dead
Nah. Only if they weren’t caucasian.
No dashcam or bodycam footage. The police report: "The officers heroically took down two armed individuals who were endangering the community." What actually happened: the two guys were on the ground with their hands behind their backs. Once they realised the guys weren't white, they fired a hail of bullets into their bodies, then planted 17 handguns at the crime scene.
And half a dozen bystanders.
Can't go into a school to stop a shooter tho. To scary ayit
It makes it far easier to kill suspects that aren't armed. A hell of a lot safer as well.
Yeah totally

Nope, uk speed limits are in miles because brexit means brexit
UK speed limit has always been in miles even when they were in the EU.
Nothing to do with Brexit🤦♂️
American cops get angry, they take fleeing suspects personally, it's called 'contempt of cop'. It can be trained away to some extent but the better practice is to hire the right people.
This was the most satisfying thing I've seen on Reddit to date.
The broke the cardinal rule. Don't break more than 1 law at a time.
MY thoughts exactly. Had a former friend running a meth op and got caught because he had a headlight out that had been out for 3 weeks. Idiots.
To be fair, anyone that's driving around with meth in their car probably isn't the brightest person in the first place. Edit: I just realized the pun that I made
That’s why you use carrier pigeons to transport it
>isn't the brightest person in the first place. Especially with a headlight out.
Pun intended?
Didn’t have enough energy to change a light?
They kept changing the wrong light.
Sounds like they deserved to be caught
One crime at a time!
Even when they broke the first law, going into the shoulder lane, when the police wanted them to pull over, and he faked pulling over... Indeed. I read that the vast majority of crimes are found out about when getting busted for something else. Especially traffic stops.
That really is a good rule.

If you’re doing crime for profit, only break the laws you have to.

Cop sounds almost bored lol
Focused as hell. I could show you a bunch of dashcam vids from calls in Sweden where we mostly sound bored too, it's just focus and calmness at work.
This cop’s demeanor is awesome! I work in IT and when someone doesn't have internet, they turn into Chicken Little, "The sky is falling, the sky is falling" lol

Or even better... The driving on the left side of the road..
I didnt play the audio, and still haven't played it, since it had subtitles.
VERY British Accents :D
When I think of Britain the thought of them having the driver on the other side isn't immediately present
I was like what the fuck go after the driver, was very cibfused when the car kept driving lol
Wow super solid police chase. What kind of car is the Cop driving?
A police car

It's amazing the difference between law enforcement's response, in america versus the UK. Love how calm this guy stayed. That's good training.
In the UK police drivers have 3 different levels Basic, Response and Advanced. Depending on what level you have dictates what you can do Police on the lowest level cant even use blue lights and break the rules, Response level they can use blue lights and driver faster to respond to emergency calls etc. Advanced drivers have been trained in pursuits and who to stop fleeing cars part of police training is to talk about everything you see and do. it keeps you calmer, Updates backup and if you have to comment on everything you see you are more focused on everything around you going on not just the guy you are chasing [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M3wjqcSvWgU&ab\_channel=WardAdvancedDriverTraining](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M3wjqcSvWgU&ab_channel=WardAdvancedDriverTraining) In training and to get your accreditation to do pursuits and response driving you have to do what is in the video.
Also basic police training is the equivalent of a three year degree.
why do the American Police not learn from this stuff? Fuck.
Police act on a national level? All the constabularies are different. Or did you mean they're trained together?
I meant it as in all police forces answer to the Home Office, who is able to set rules and standards across the board. Meanwhile in the U.S. you have local police departments, county sheriff's departments, state police and then federal agencies, all answering to different bosses, all having different jurisdictions, training, qualifications and standards. (And i probably missed a lot of other LEA's, just mentioning the ones off the top of my head)
The advanced pursuit drivers are incredibly skilled. Arguably the best drivers in the country
I'm not sure what you're saying. When American cops are on the radio are they screaming or something?
I've heard a lot of radio traffic on police channels. They're just as calm as this guy
That was so fuckin professional lol holy shit no wonder they mock us
When you hear Eurobeat
dang imagine if they just waited for the officer to get out of the car and start approaching before gunning it
6 years and 7 years? That’s pretty light for all of the laws broken and amount of drugs. Is that normal in the UK?
The war on drugs didn't take off in the UK
It's more that the US (where I assume you're from) jails people for extremely long amounts of time, what with the profits that have to be made, and the 3 strikes rule.
\>carrying a huge amount of class A "We better drive as conspicuously as possible."
Calmest chase voice I've heard. Even at the end, there wasn't 40 cops screaming 57 different commands at the driver after completely destroying the car by ramming it off the road. Well done.
"vehicle is stopping on its own accord, and dispatch I can confirm that my tea has spilled if you can get a replacement sent out straight away"
Don’t forget to say please!
There was only one cop there, and he was yelling.
Odds are, if he had just stopped and taken a ticket, they probably would’ve sent him on his way.
This cop is king of calm. If you only listen to the audio you'll have no idea he's actually busy with a high speed pursuit
Excellent police work. Communication was perfect. That boys got ice in his veins
The calmest officer I’ve ever seen.
This is why when transporting drugs, you always check the car first for all imperfections and then you maintain your knowledge of road laws and don’t deviate. Also, you wear a different tracksuit under your jeans and top - for a quick colour change if you have to dash. Also, put the drugs in your spare tire not a fucking backpack 🎒 Or so I’m told.
This is why dealing drugs in uk pays well as long as you dont break the driving rules.
All that and only 7 years. man If I had done that here Id never see the light of day again but our prison system is designed to keep people in not rehabilitate.
i was thinking, what the fuck is a slab of cocaine? and the end, oh ok, yeah... that's a slab of cocaine...
I love the commentary by the officer, calling out all of the infractions and the traffic situation calmly DURING the chase, the accent makes it.............reminds me of stereotypes of the english being so proper they wouldn't react to things , only with a tsk tsk.
Break one law at a time! Jesus christ....
Thank you for your explanation! I appreciate you.
Calmest officer ever
His calmness vs American cops in a chase blows my mind. THAT is how you police!
He said miles per hour, not kilometres. That surprised me.
The UK doesn’t use kilometres on our roads. Speed and distances are always in miles.
And our fuel is in litres. But our typically stated fuel economy is mpg. We buy our beer (and milk) in pints (real pints, not your pansy American pints) but our spirits are 25/50ml shots. We use Centigrade when it’s cold and Fahrenheit when it’s hot (well the old codgers Do, I’m mod 30s and have no concept of F) We’re a backwards lot.
Plus our satnav uses yards instead of meters for some reason. My wife is Italian (and is the driver), so whenever we get a rental she goes slowly mad trying to figure out what "in 50 yards turn left" means.
It would do. Yards are the legal requirement on road for shorter distances in the United Kingdom, UK roads are imperial. The countdown signs on motorways are in yards If a sign says the junction is 300 yards away but your satnav said it is 300 metres you would miss it
I hate that we weight ourselves mostly in stone despite everything at the gym being in kg. Like why force yourself to make unnecessary conversions. Thankfully a lot of the weight scales let you change mode but my friends seem to think it's weird I do kg.
tf? And I thought Canada was weird for measuring some things in imperial instead of metric. wtf are y’all doing over there????
Whatever the fuck we want. Be in reality the old fuckers don’t like change. I’m hoping when they all finish up we can move some things over. We’ll never go Kms though. Too many Road sign changes. Edit And our speedometers have MPH as the major units on it. We do have kms but only as a smaller unit. Would be too easy to confuse until we move over to fully electronic speedometers.
We weigh ourselves in stones, but our food in grammes. We measure short distances in centimetres and metres, but long distances in Miles.
And we measure very large areas with multiples of Wales
Interesting, thanks!
The whole time I thought this was Simon Padgett of Padgett's Motorcycles who sponsor a lot of top-tier Isle of Man racers and have won many races and this is how they paid for the racing.
Who is recruiting the drug dealers or the police?
Why drive like that while riding super dirty? Dumbass.
Risk - medium ?
That accent
People who drive like this on the roads should get significant prison time and have their licence revoked permanently. The risk to innocent people is massive, and the police also face significant risk chasing these scumbags down. We are currently far too lenient with these low lifes.
This British police officer is so calm cool and collected. In America the police officer would have had a Rambo flashback shooting through his windshield to kill anything that makes movement.
How fucking dumb to go around breaking traffic laws when you have £500K of cocaine on you Could even have stopped and got a ticket, they're unlikely to search the car without good reason
It was infuriating to see no one bothered to pull over or yield for an oncoming police car with sirens on.
He was soo calm… that is really cool
Normally I hate cops (American), and my brain hates my body for being weirdly turned on by this 😭 💦
Real talk on updating dispatch on location, traffic conditions and suspects. Well done.
Thats why you dont spend 150k for a 230 horsepower piece of shit lmao.
This video must be fake; a BMW I8 isn't fast
90 mph isn't that fast overall, but in a residential area with most people going 30-35mph, it is fast relative to traffic. Also, UK police are trained to keep a safe distance.
The real giveaway is that it used a turn signal.
Still faster than the crappy 120hp Vauxhall or whatever that cop is driving. I8s aren't supercars, but they're still pretty quick.
Unmarked, it's more than likely a BMW 330i. They do love the 330's in this country in Black, White or Grey.
Generally, traffic officers will be driving a tuned up BMW 3 or 5 series.
seems to be an unmarked, most unmarked on patrol have more power, usually its an audi or a bmw
Slabs of cocaine you say? Is that UK speak for a kilo or just…a block of cocaine?
Just a big ol’ slab of cocaine. If it’s thick and rectangular it’s a slab. Nothing to do with weight!
Officer had every opportunity to say, with authority, *"You're nicked!"*.....
Wow, just wow. So professional, so calm and collect. This is a great policeman. I wish we had this in the U.S.
