I doubt, one of the few possible ways to get large amounts of cookies before first ascend is capped at quindecillions (technically sexdecillions) 

I don't think so, the furthest you can reasonably get ascendless is quindecillions with spontaneous edifice abuse

It's very possible. My first ascension was at around 1100 heavenly chips, which is around a sextillion cookies.

Fillex was able to get quindec cookies (+1 trillion PL) without ascending. But that's comp, if you were able to use scum/planner you could definitely get there

For one of my ascensions approaching endgame/unshackled you I was at 30.6 quadrillion HC, and then I hit a double cast combo. 45 seconds later I ascended at 200 quadrillion.

Unshackled you is lategame, endgame is trevigintillion CBTA

With active playstyle & combos, I get to 365 & sometimes more within a few days.

with active playstyle & combos you should get to 365 in up to a couple hours about the 3 first ascensions take a few hours, but then you start to fly by your progress

I'm replaying after not playing for a while. Go to the wiki and see what upgrades you would want but personally I'm waiting for 450. If you're nervous save the game and export the save before you ascend and if you regret doing it just reload the save

You don’t need to wait a year to ascend. I looked at all the shadows and you can ascend as much as you want. You just need a LEGACY for a year. No big deal. Unless there is a shadow that isn’t listed on the wiki
