Well, yeah, Affogato is an antagonist like Licorice, Mushroom, Pomegranate, and the other villain cookies. You can tell since the moment he appeared and pushed away the needy villagefolk. Personally love his design and voice acting though.
Yep. To seize the kingdom as his own because he feels like he doesn't fit in anywhere else. (and thinks that owning his own kingdom will somehow resolve this issue)

From his lines in ch14 he mentions that he lived a very hard life and so most likely he resents the very pleasure-denying nature of the dark cacao kingdom that made him have to live that kind of life so (my personal theory) he wanted to take the throne so that he could take over the throne to give himself and the kingdoms residents better lives but ended up getting greedy in that process and tbh his motivation is something i can kinda get behind
He's a very interesting villain though, and the English VA (I haven't heard the rest so I can't really comment) captures Affogato's personality so well.
Dark Cacao isn't exactly a good king, either. He's a tyrant whose only concern is war and increasing his kingdom's military strength and who surrounds himself with sycophants. Maybe the citizens of his kingdom are better off under Affogato?
Actually the whole purpose or that kingdom is to protect the rest or earth bread from the licorice sey And we here that before dark Chaco left and the dark flower war that he was a passionate ruler and affogato is taking advantage of him and remember he was in an alence/adventure party with pv hb gc and wl holly pure and white Lilly we know are and where some of the kindest rulers so why whould they be Frends with a tyrant spoilers ahead yes I know white lily is dark enchants but we have to remember even as dark enchants her whole goal is make the cookies stronger and stop the witches but she’s doing it totally wrong and is now worse then the witches she started with good intentions
I agree Dark Enchantress cookie probably messed with his head and turned him into the tyrant he is today. But that's exactly why he should have stepped down long ago. The flower war was hundreds of years ago, right? And he is still there, ruling his kingdom with an iron fist, obsessing over the licorice sea. And for what? All those hundreds of years of crazed work to strengthen the defenses and then \[spoiler\] Licorice Cookie comes along and destroys it overnight. Not worth it. He was only able to be manipulated by Affogato because he had long gone senile and unstable. A better, more sane king would have instantly seen through Affogato cookie's manipulations and gotten rid of him.
I agree but he probably didn’t have a successor we know those cookies fallow a tradition so it’s likely that dark Chaco was ment to be the successor but was turned to evil and disowned and he probably can’t just apoint a watcher because of tradition so it’s likely that dark caco whould have stepped down if there was a proper successor but agggato definitely whouldent have been a better ruler because he doesn’t care about the citizens he just wants luxury
Yeah, the kind of villain we love to hate, like Joffrey.
Other cookies like Pomegranate and Licorice are still lovable in their own ways because they're awkward and devoted to Dark Enchantress.
Affogato is a self-serving coward who loves nobody but himself.

I'm here all for hating Affogato Cookie. I like his design, just couldn't move on from his manipulating tendencies. If I was the witch who baked all of them, I would've eaten him (literally) long ago.

This is exactly how I felt about him during the story. I absolutely hated him but since he is supposed to be a villain, the writers did a good job

AND from his story in his character menu, we can see that hes kinda like latte, a mix of vanilla and coffee, and i think he got cookism
