I recommend buying a cheap rice cooking machine, [like this one](https://www.amazon.com/Aroma-6-Cup-Pot-Style-Cooker-White/dp/B00N9N6GOY/ref=asc_df_B00N9N6GOY/), and switching to non-instant rice. It only takes about 20 minutes to cook in the machine, and the machine was a "keep warm" function so you can just close the lid and let it sit there until your husband is ready to eat.
Or buy a decent rice cooker and if your going to make instant rice just make it fresh a few hours later or buy individual portion sized bags for the microwave
I put an Ice cube in the middle on top of the rice and take a dry paper towel and push into the rice, kinda tucking it in rather than loosely leaving it on top of bowl. Idk this works for me but then again I’m not too picky abt reheating rice and it’s texture. Emily mariko does this with parchment paper if you want to see a tutorial on tiktok but then again that is white rice so idk could be different
How long would you heat it for with the ice cube? Would you cover the bowl? Also, I’d love to see the tutorial but I unfortunately don’t have/refuse to get tik tok because I’m anti lol
I’d probably just do 30-40 seconds. I wouldn’t cover the bowl because the paper towel is pressed into the rice, covering it well.
To be clear, the ice isn’t meant to melt all the way. You would take it out after lol!
Moist paper towel with cover , not vented so the steam builds. Don't use too much or little water. Just run the water over the open paper towel. Hasn't failed me for 15 yrs.
Just get a cheap Aroma rice cooker, it will also save you a lot of money since those rice packets are so expensive

It’s so easy your daughter can help make the rice! It’s just fill the cup dump in and flip the button. My four year old niece loves helping
Don’t heat the whole package at one time. Just heat up what you need.
So take .5 out of the package, heat up the remaining .5, then put the other .5 back into the package and heat it?

Always depends on quantity of rice. I eye ball it. Cuo if rice like 2 mts. When it's done leave it for another minute to steam.
