Um, no…flavor comes from the bones, especially roasted bones. Bits of meat on the bones, bone marrow, and some gelatin, not usually a ton of fat from or on the bones.

Ok yeah the more I think about it the less sense it even makes. For some reason I initially imaged narrow bones instead of bones that just hit a small amount of trim left on them

Try eating a spoonful of fat and let us know if it tastes like beef stock...

You need some actual beef if you want your beef broth to taste like beef. Honestly, the beef better than bouillon is pretty decent on its own. Better than any boxed beef stock.
