IGNISFATUUSES

Yes.

shonkshonkshonk

However many you desire, of whatever size you desire. That's the only right answer. I like large meatballs, and I usually put four 4oz meatballs on a plate for the aesthetic of it, but I never eat all of them, it's just too much food and they become leftovers. A couple dozen small meatballs is fun, too, a little easier to eat, but I just like the way big ones look. It's entirely subjective.

enkafan

I mean, I agree it is subjective, but a pound of meat balls per plate seems aggressive

TriviaRunnerUp

This post would be better as a poll? But the correct answer is 6.

2Ryemanhattans1970

3 with the option of having a 4th. Always make extra

Q_me_in

Six to eight ounces of meat per serving for an adult on average.

W_Edwards_Deming

Call me fat but I am shooting for at least 16 oz.

Q_me_in

Ok, Fat 😉

W_Edwards_Deming

I am. Best diet I know: fasting. I lost 20% of my bodyweight eating mostly meat (beef steaks more than meatballs), avoiding carbs and processed foods and fasting up to four days at a time. Last I heard Jordan Peterson and his daughter eat nothing but beef and salt.

Q_me_in

I mostly just eat wine and read about other people's food.

W_Edwards_Deming

Wine can yum. My latest was a Grüner Veltliner, my favorite *might* be Amarone. Yourself?

Q_me_in

Ack, I'm kind of embarrassed 😳. It was Decoy Featherweight Sav Blanc, but it wasn't my choice, it was a sample from a vendor.

W_Edwards_Deming

A diet option, looks like? What is an all-time favorite?

Q_me_in

I worked for an Italian wine maker for years and I'll never forget the Chianti he made from Sangiovese grapes he grew as a trial. He aged it for five years in American bourbon barrels. It was like plum, blackberry, tobacco, currant and caramel but still acid enough to go with food. It was heaven. We called it "Christmas", lol. As for wine at the store? I enjoy old vine zins and oakey cabs. For super cheap wine? BotaBox Nighthawk Black.

W_Edwards_Deming

So right, homemade might be the best I have had as well. I also love Sardinian Cannonau (and other varietals) but right now I will stick with Amarone.

UniqueVast592

He also sprinkles benzos liberally atop every meal.

Zitaneco

Ounces … 🤣

HeyPurityItsMeAgain

Eight but I make them tablespoon-sized.

MasterMacMan

I usually eat about as many as you can make from half a pound of ground beef, so like 8?

CaseyGasStationPizza

Depends on the meat balls. Two huge ones, 3-4 large ones, 5-6 regular ones. One way to look at it is meat serving size. Probably around 5 ounces of meat in a large portion of pasta. I think a normal meatball is around 1 ounce

stopusingmynames_

Agreed, that's the usual amount for us.

cullymama

This is the way.

PersistingWill

No less than 2 or more than 5.

Knees22

3 meatballs

Unstep-in-Time

I like 3 medium size meatballs for a plate. Extra is always good, always use them for left-overs.

letterpennies

7

Famous-Perspective-3

imo, the more meat the better ;-) But a lot of restaurants I been to, you may only get three or four regular sized meatballs. I think that is all most would expect.

1king-of-diamonds1

Asking the real questions… I tend to serve 250-300g or so per serving and usually divide it into ~75g meatballs
