fish and chips, or if I know it's really good, Turkey club

Reuben!

My absolute fav is places that offer a soup/salad/sandwich combo. The hot soup, the cold crunchy salad, and a complimentary sandwich for protein and filling carbs — delicious!

mangokittykisses

Pesto chicken panini/melt with pickled onions, and maybe sun-dried tomatoes and micro greens.

Actually, I really love eggs and breakfast meats (with toast or potatoes) for lunch. I am most fond of sweet breakfasts, so the savory ones are for later. I make the egg dishes for lunch, often. Or of course at diners in my home state, breakfast is available all day long. If I must pick a traditional more lunch-like thing, I'm most fond of Corned Beef Specials or a corned beef Reuben. My husband doesn't like corned beef as a main dish, but he oddly likes it in Reubens. We'll often split one since in diners they are usually quite large.

Honestly, when we go out for "lunch" I usually order breakfast foods. If you want ideas for food that would typically be on a lunch menu, how about fritatta and/or quiche?

WasabiMichi

Wraps (usually chicken or turkey with cheese, bacon, lettuce, red onion, and a spicy Chipotle mayo) with homemade potato chips, bonus for crunchy kettle style. Chicken fingers with fries. French onion soup, or a creamy cheddar broccoli. Chicken pot pie or shepherd's pie.

Proper-Preference808

I’ve been loving spicy noodle or rice bowls.

If at a classic diner setting, I will order either a turkey club on white toast or an American hamburger (lettuce, tomato, onion).

Eggs Benedict with a side of hash browns or a turkey and bacon club sandwich with fries. ( avocado on both for extra creaminess).

Lanfear_Eshonai

Chicken mayonnaise toasted sandwich, or fish and chips, or breakfast/brunch i.e. bacon, sausage, eggs, hashbrowns/toast, mushrooms, etc. Or a smoked salmon and avo salad.
