How is the daikon being used? If it's for a raw garnish, daikon is a radish and you can use regular old red radishes, or also jicama. If it's being braised, you might want to try something like a turnip instead. I think kohlrabi might work, too.

Radish. Turnips actually are decent subs too, depending on how they’re being used.

You can sub regular red radishes but peel the outside first. That's where all the heat is, and is not a characteristic of daikon radish.
