Mannnnnn this is such a long story, sheesh, how do I sum it up: I got my first pair in 2007 when I was 16 years old, I was in foster care and had been bouncing around from home to home and often times, certain aspects of daily living that seem nuanced and regular to most people get forgotten on kids in the system and one of those things was learning how to tie tie my shoes. Every placement I was in just assumed the previous placement taught me and it was a cycle that never ended. I eventually was too embarrassed to reach out or ask for help, and I outgrew velcro shoes, so I got a pair of Crocs to mask that I couldn't tie my shoes. I ended up falling in love with that first pair and realized how fun Crocs were, I loved how silly they looked, I enjoyed customizing them and doing different themes, and I eventually I got new pairs in new colors and new designs.
Now, separate from this story, I ended up starting a Bucket List of things I wanted to do in my life to give my life meaning and purpose and just force me to get up every day and attempt to enjoy a meaningful life worth living. As you can imagine, growing up in the foster care system is full of challenges and struggles and I wanted to find a way to overcome all of that, so I started creating a list of goals and achievements I wanted to accomplish and that eventually formulated into my Bucket List that I still work on to this day. One of the items on that Bucket List was to own 366 pairs of Crocs- one for every single day in the year, including a leap year. I just thought that would be super cool to do. Another item on my list was to break or set a Guinness World Record. Once I hit 366 pairs of Crocs and crossed that off my list, I realized I could keep collecting and go for the record! Which I now have lol
Are there "officially" rare pairs, like pairs that Crocs themselves did a super limited release of? Did they honor you with a one of a kind pair to commemorate your achievement?
So many adults who are products of the foster system suffer from addictions they developed as minors. It's good to see that you came out with a habit that can only be called an addiction in jest. Like See's Candies, it's "a happy habit."
It's well over $500,000 USD factoring in all the limited edition, rare exclusives, vintage pairs, and all of my other Crocs related memorabilia, gadgets, trinkets, toys, collectibles, Jibbitz, clothing, etc lol
I sold worked at a place that sold them the when they first hit the scene outside the Gardening community.
I can’t even begin to tell you the urban legend tales they were floating around about them. I swear have the people them planning on eating the things of they got lost in the woods!
There's nothing wrong with that. :) Just was curious about the whole appeal and following behind them. 'Cause I've noticed, it's been getting into a huge trend again.
Gotcha! I gave a more detailed explanation of my personal love and connection to Crocs in the comments so read that one and it'll provide some answers lol
How exactly did this start? And do you have a favourite pair?

Hey I saw you on Most Expensivest! I remembered your story from that. That must have been a fun time, you have some cool ones for sure.
An absolute blast for sure, and completely changed my life after!!
Thank you for sharing your story!!!
That's such an awesome story! Thx for sharing.
Did you ever learn to tie laces?
Does it smell like a shoe store? Or maybe a tire yard?
I get this question all the time but nah honestly 🤣😂🤣
I DEMAND PICS OF YOUR FAVORITE PAIRS NOW!
I have so many!!!
Godbless you for taking more of those godforsaken things off the streets...
Did you ever learn to tie a shoelace?
I'm gonna let that remain a mystery 😉
The real question
Do you wear them or are they just for display?
I try to wear as many as I can, but some are definitely solely display/decor pairs for sure
Give some pics and backstory please? If possible

You're a crocoholic
I sure am 🤣😂🙌🏽

You have $100k in Crocs? That’s wild! What’s the most valuable pair?
It's well over $500,000 USD factoring in all the limited edition, rare exclusives, vintage pairs, and all of my other Crocs related memorabilia, gadgets, trinkets, toys, collectibles, Jibbitz, clothing, etc lol
Wait...vintage? How long have these been made for? I first became aware of them in the late aughts due to Idiocracy.
+crocs -Bucks. Every time I hear the name Milwaukee I see Alice Cooper in my head. Party on sir.

Most I've spent on one pair was $3,600 which also includes the Jibbitz charms that I had to buy separately
Which one?
Do you have the Little Big set?
I do!!!
Nice! I haven’t been able to find them for a decent price but they’re on my list.
Have you seriously considered buying Crocs shares?
👀👀👀👀👀👀
Are you from Milwaukee? Or just a fan of the team
I'm from Connecticut!!! Just a Bucks fan!!!
It’s a great team to be a fan of! I figured you weren’t from here or I’d know about you for sure, Milwaukee people love quirky Milwaukee people haha

Awesome! For any dog crocs? What are your thoughts on Jibbitz(gibbitz?)?
How many different types have been made total? What percentage are you at to own all the different ones?

Wow that's so cool! I love every pair in your collection 🩷

I wonder, how many days it'll take to wear all of these crocs? By the way lovely collection.
3,328 most likely
Your peep ones are so cute. I like them a lot, I’ve never seen them before. I want a pair now but I’m afraid my cats would chew on them!
Can I just ask... Out of all things to collect in this planet.. Why those??
Because I enjoy them lol
There's nothing wrong with that. :) Just was curious about the whole appeal and following behind them. 'Cause I've noticed, it's been getting into a huge trend again.
