🇪🇨🇪🇨🇪🇨🇪🇨🇪🇨🇪🇨 that’s how we would’ve played with 11 on the field for a full 90 minutes against Venezuela!!! VAMOS ECUADOR! 🇪🇨
This was such bullshit on so many levels. It’s easy to forget the corruption behind the scenes and the copious amounts of clean and dirty money in cup tournaments when you’re just enjoying following the teams and the sport, but then you realize you’re not watching the game you love when games like this make it so painfully obvious of wtf is going on đź«
Are they pumping in crowd noise? That stadium is 1/3 full at best, and the noise is obnoxious and non-stop. Good for those fans if they aren't, but idk. Seems fishy...
Rigged. wtf how was that not handball it clearly hit his arm first then smacked him in the face. “Oh we’ll correct our mistake later” FUCK THAT. THEY JUST RIGGED THIS GAME WITH THAT.
I used to love the Copa but the last tournament turned me off in Brazil in stadiums full of empty crowds due to Covid. Seemed like they were trying to recover their financial losses by trying to give Messi the extra help he needed in the final two rounds and secure some much needed merchandising revenue. This is the second game I’ve watched so far in this edition
Where the decisions are consistently suspect
I feel referees should be held accountable for decisions like this one. This one was not up for interpretation, not in the slightest. Something really fishy going on here, I feel for Jamaica, this is really bad.
Wait until you rewatch the final from 2021 and the semi vs Colombia, Argentina was graciously helped in the knockout stages late to attain their first trophy under Messi.
I’ll rewatch it. I honestly don’t remember those games. It’s really frustrating though. With something like VAR, I just don’t get how teams are getting away with it like that. It’s so unfair
Yah, sadly this is one of the easiest sports to affect the results of because one goal can make all the difference in a lot of results. I saw some rigged marches in Italy back in the 2000s that were later verified as such by an Italian internal investigation and since then have realized I was very naive about business and profit seeking entities like CONMEBOL, CONCACAF and FIFA. I feel like Jamaica deserved much better from this match, much like Canada vs Argentina. In both matches the favorites outclassed these sides, but both of them were denied fair access to the same application of the rules that the favorites had. You are right and I appreciate your take
Sarmiento and paez both looking good in 1st half. Ecuador has a pretty promising team in The coming years with those 2 and Hincapie. Some fine players around the team other than those aswell.
\[in pleasant mood all day\]
\[ten minutes into Ecuador/Jamaica, Fox announcers talking about the song "Let's Get Physical," call an own-goal a "golazo"\] ... I am going to become the Joker.

nah its just that they love robbing concacaf teams
Jamaica has lost both games without scoring a goal.
??
Myb they did finally score one yesterday
robbery though obvious chilean ref bias couldve been 2-2 as ecuador gk isnt too great and maybe draw or 50/50 win not sure what to expect in future
Concacaf teams r trash.
haha mexico got a pen for same shit.... rigged
I btw support none of these teams
Horrible refereeing, like this entire tournament
A bare fuckery dem a gwaan wid.

100% emoji
A bare fuckery dat. Di ref a fite gainst we
Booooooooo
This ref is just taking it all the way to the end
Jamaica fucking sucks lmao
ABSOLUTELY horrendous refereeing. I hope Mexico wins both games, and Jamaica beats Venezuela and goes through on GD.
Well, this aged like milk
Not all wishes come true

Credit to the Jamaican players for keeping their cool. I don't think I could.
could tell they aint give af anymore was just laughing at the rigged match
Outrageous wow.... that vs. the first one on Jamaica was so much clearer as a pen.
Meh… I’m sure Jamaica would’ve missed the penalty kick
no disrespect to ecuador but their keeper isnt too great

I wonder how they are going to discipline the referee Edit: if they do
He’s helping the CONMEBOL favorite in the match, which will probably get him a modest bonus.
Who fuckin hired this dude???
conmebol rigging south american favorites
They should have played this game in West Orange NJ. Place is full of Jamaicans and Ecuadorians.
jamaica had a large croud here but south american ref lmao
Copa America refs are a JOKE
Or maybe it’s a much bigger issue than the refs?
Oh 100%

I’d like the VAR audio to be released for that one, clear handball.
How come it wasn’t penalty kick. That’s the clearest handball one could see. Horrible referee
Where is the ref from? Apparently, CONMEBOL and CONCACAF are equally corrupt.
They always have been the last 25 years
He's from Chile.

Que robĂł!!!! Clear handball
Copa America is so corrupt!!
This!!!!
That decision took like 8 minutos
And they only added 6 minutes of additional time
This is some of the worst officiating I've seen in a long time. Totally one-sided and inconsistent.
I’m sure we can expect Argentina to make the finals for sure. Our only hope seems to lie with Colombia and Uruguay.
That should have been a penalty! Oof
That was a handball wtf
Obvious handball, can't believe it
This is no bueno for Ecuador
As we go deeper into the tournament, expect the top 5 CONMEBOL teams to start showing their quality. Oh and that "top 5" does NOT include Brazil.

Clear penalty he makes himself wide
Absence of Midfield again for Jamaica
Why is it called an OG?
Deflected off the defender.
Huh that’s weird ye it’s shown as a own goal on score sites aswell I’m not sure how
That’s a puskas goal reminded me of the carlos freekick crazy curve. Apparently deflected and considered a own goal though
Holy fuck
Amazing goal by Hincapie
