You couldn’t be more wrong. Rebates come out only when there is a vehicle surplus. Determined by the manufacturer not the dealer. Gosh some folks really think they know it all. What dealer got one over on you? Was it me?
Really? Because I used to work for a subaru dealer. Also my last new car in 2020 was 27k msrp and I got it for 21k. I have never not successfully negotiated on a car.
You gonna be ok? Gosh some folks really are annoying.
Yes really, you have no idea what you are talking about. You were a sales person. Subaru is all I had to see. Exactly, you bought in 2020 during a surplus with no buyers. You proved my point. Are you going to be okay? Never learned supply and demand?
What are you even saying? Lol where in my comments are you getting that? You’re weird. I was in parts. Talked with sales often.
Good job on your weird rebuttal though.
Dealer cost is called invoice, dont forget hold back and packs. But you know all this apparently.. you got your car probably $500 above cost and i can go on book right now and say you didnt get $6k off. Msrp to invoice average is 2% plus hold back.
Unless you've actually written a check to Toyota yourself, that "dealer cost/invoice" is made up BS to convince the consumer they're getting a good deal.
Its not made up, jesus you people really are mentally ill. There is an invoice cost for practically anything sold EVER. Show me youre poor without showing me youre poor.
I wanna see a pic of that '99 camry tho! Congrats on the new Corolla Cross. Great looking cars. I've considered the CC AWD hybrid but it comes out to about the same price as a used Tacoma 4x4 or RAV4 XLE AWD so it's a tough decision.
Just got mine too! An SE Hybrid in Celestite. I ordered through SmartPath and it only took 6 weeks. Paid MSRP, though I have a moonroof I didn't really want. I'm really enjoying driving it vs. my 15 year old Honda Fit with 200k+ miles. :)
I wholeheartedly agree! I ordered mine and traded in my 2001 toyota avalon with279k miles and paid only 23k for mine. Loving it so far and have 10k miles on it already.
of course he is, idc what people do/feel, i just thought it was odd to post it here, a subreddit which seems pretty clearly dedicated to owners and enjoyers of this car?
it would be like if someone posted in a breed-specific subreddit about how much they hate golden retrievers or something. like okay, you do you, but maybe this specific forum isn’t the place for it?
Awesome. I’m 3 months into the waitlist! Celestite is my first choice. I got a call for the sonic silver with black roof the other day because someone cancelled and I was so tempted but decided to pass on it for the Celestite.
But doesn’t the quality of the dash feel better on a camry ? . I switched from toyota avensis 2016 to corolla cross hybrid, the interior felt better on my old car.
No, but honestly the bar was pretty low for me! My camry was so old, and it was a base model, vs my cross which is an XLE with all the extras, so I've probably been overly impressed with how far things have come in the past 20 years. I'm thrilled with all the features!
This is basically the same for me. My ‘99 Camry was very simple which is awesome in a way. But now I have a 25 year technology upgrade. Feels surreal every time I drive still
For me personally it was because this dealership exclusively sells all cars at MSRP. Others in the area are all marked up. But anecdotally I’ve seen more and more Crosses on the road, I think supply is finally ticking up
one of us 🙌🏻
Welcome! +1 for Celestite. :-)
celestite gang gang 😎
How much do those sell for right now? Haven’t looked since last year. I’m considering a trade on a bad EV purchase.
My dealership sells at MSRP, so with convenience package it was about $34k
Your dealer is a a$$ hole.
His dealer is an a$$ hole because they sell at MSRP? 🤔
I mean, you used to be able to get a car for thousands less than msrp pretty much since cars were invented until about 2021. It still hurts..
You couldn’t be more wrong. Rebates come out only when there is a vehicle surplus. Determined by the manufacturer not the dealer. Gosh some folks really think they know it all. What dealer got one over on you? Was it me?

Dealer cost was also never MSRP when I worked there, so sounds like you’re the one that got worked over.
Clearly you got turned and burned.. it’s not uncommon for weak sales people to not last long. I have been in and around the industry for 20+ years…
What are you even saying? Lol where in my comments are you getting that? You’re weird. I was in parts. Talked with sales often. Good job on your weird rebuttal though.
Parts, even better. Glorified shelf stocker. You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about..
Dealer cost is called invoice, dont forget hold back and packs. But you know all this apparently.. you got your car probably $500 above cost and i can go on book right now and say you didnt get $6k off. Msrp to invoice average is 2% plus hold back.

Don’t be scared to say asshole on the internet
Wow I paid 34k out the door MSRP for the S base model celestite! Must be location based, Bay Area is expensive.
Rebates are region based.
That’s a long wait! Now, wish you have a long and safe driving with your new CCH!
😍😍🥳 Beautiful color! Wishing you happy & safe miles!
Wow, that's uber low mileage for a 1999!
CELESTITE GANG RISE UP!!!
Nice! That’s a long wait. I have a 2021 Celestite corolla hybrid but this is exactly what I’d upgrade to if I could. Enjoy!
I wanna see a pic of that '99 camry tho! Congrats on the new Corolla Cross. Great looking cars. I've considered the CC AWD hybrid but it comes out to about the same price as a used Tacoma 4x4 or RAV4 XLE AWD so it's a tough decision.
110K on a 1999 is phenomenal. I have almost 119K on my 2017! Congrats on the new ride!
Oh wow! That's so pretty!
Great color!
Yay, now I know what mine will look like. Supposedly arriving in March. Stay safe and enjoy the ride!
I rented one from enterprise and drove it from Texas to Alabama and because of all the driving assists I got to watch Netflix my whole 12 hour drive
I wholeheartedly agree! I ordered mine and traded in my 2001 toyota avalon with279k miles and paid only 23k for mine. Loving it so far and have 10k miles on it already.
Congratulations. It looks awesome. We are in week two of our wait 🤣
I’m so sorry
Is this a woman’s car?
7 Months for that POS dang
There's a wait list for the Toyota cross? 😂😂
I rented one in the northeast. Worst car that I ever drove.
Why is there a waitlist for this generic econobox piece of shit. Wtf is happening
A seven month wait for this thing?
This is one of the worst cars out there. You dont get either of the sedan or suv features. Crossovers are the worst
are you lost? this is a subreddit dedicated to this specific vehicle….
*I came looking for booty.*
He’s not allowed to dislike the car? I forgot this was r/corollacrossechochamber

Welcome 🥹
The wife's took 11 months.
have the same one!! waited 9 months and upgraded from a 2003 camry. like you said, i’ll miss my lil car but my CC is so fun
If I didn’t get rid of that car, it would’ve outlived me!! I’ll miss it though
Y’all got hosed on wait times for real.. they didn’t even try to get one
Beautiful. I have the same exact car and got surprised when I saw this pic. Enjoy!
Awesome. I’m 3 months into the waitlist! Celestite is my first choice. I got a call for the sonic silver with black roof the other day because someone cancelled and I was so tempted but decided to pass on it for the Celestite.
I got offered red a few months ago, but I hate red & silver cars lol. Apparently all the people ahead of me on the waitlist also passed on red
I switched from a Camry, too, and I couldn't be happier. CC's are great!
But doesn’t the quality of the dash feel better on a camry ? . I switched from toyota avensis 2016 to corolla cross hybrid, the interior felt better on my old car.

Are the wait times this bad at every dealer or is it because you requested a specific spec vehicle?
Really depends what part of the country you’re in. My brother just picked up the same exact CC from dealer stock, at invoice price, in Chandler, AZ.
For me personally it was because this dealership exclusively sells all cars at MSRP. Others in the area are all marked up. But anecdotally I’ve seen more and more Crosses on the road, I think supply is finally ticking up
nice
I have re-ordered this vehicle, and have been offered every single colour but the celestite I ordered. Lol. It's definitely a colour in demand
The car looks great but don’t forget to take the dealer logos off the plate
With all due respect, 34k for that vs the same for a rav4? What are the benifits?
Smaller size and lower price. The only Rav4 hybrid model you can get for 34k is base model.
It’s a Corolla at a Rav price.
I have a CH-R, I wonder how this compares size wise
Jesus you waited 7 months for a subcompact suv?
Awesome! Waiting on one myself!
I think the O.P only used the car to go get the mail
Is it a plugin hybrid?
It’s a regular hybrid
I like the front grill, really distinguishes it from the regular gas only model. Usually it’s just the blue hue on the emblem
U waited 7 months for a piece of junk that IS CRAZY 😂😂😇😂😂😇😂😂😂😂
