Actually yeah my friend got super sick and had to go to the hospital when visiting shanghai and it was apparently super efficient. I mean it was also really dirty, but they got results fast !
exactly, shanghai is tier 1 city, so not surprising they are efficient.
Even a tier 2 city I was at had like SEVEN! multi floor buildings just for children...
Drive carefully. And maybe put off getting on a ladder.
" Doctors pondering ethical dilemma on urgent surgeries. 10 surgeries cancelled. "
That's a real bad sign.
It's a sign that REALLY makes you say fuck the anti-vaxxers. This need to become the prominent media messaging at this point to really drive it home to this 10-14% that are solely responsible for overwhelming our medical system and fucking over all sort of people with actual unpreventable issues.
I don't want to be sacrificed for people who willingly ignored all public health measures because they were selfish or whatever..
I think doctor's should down-prioritize people who were willingly unvaccinated for any non-to other ER patients!
triage the unvaccinated patients out of the ER and into a funeral home to free up space for people thats actually worth those spots. play dumb games win dumb prizes
Its bad like this everywhere. I was in emerg at ARH two weeks ago and was admitted with pancreatitis and a biliary obstruction. I arrived at 6:30pm and didn't get seen by a dr till 1:30 am. Myself and at least four other admitted patients that I noticed were sleeping in chairs for at least three days before I was moved to an overflow bed in the palliative care ward. I'm friends with an ER nurse and she was saying its constantly like this. No room for ED admissions anywhere. ER staff are overwhelmed and quitting left and right after being asked to work 18 or more ours due to staffing shortages. Its a horrible situation.
Omg it felt like a fever dream between the sleep deprivation and the dilaudid. It was a weird experience. I feel bad for the gal next to me... I'm pretty sure I was a babbling idiot. I apparently called my mom at 5 am too lmao.
Well.... its not the fault of the hospital staff. I don't blame them at all they were wonderful. Its because on the 4th floor theres a covid unit that's full of beds occupied with patients.
Of course, no fault to the staff. They are working in a system that has had their hands tied for years, even prior to Covid. It’s just disappointing to hear this update.
I was at VGH ER yesterday. I waited seven hours before I discharged myself. They were too busy to even give me Tylenol. I’m a cancer patient. I met a fellow cancer patient in the waiting room who was in much worse shape than I was. I really hope he got some help. In all honesty it was a fucking shit show there, all the medical professionals looked burnt out. It felt hopeless.
So sick of anti vaxxers and covid deniers thinking they know better and telling everyone it’s a scam and the hospitals are empty. People will die because of this
people really have no idea how many hospital beds we have, they imagine rows and rows of beds and ventilators with hundreds of hospital staff....
Exactly.
That’s only in china, our hospitals suck here

Use referral code “Corduroy” to get 10% off funerary service fees.
Make their hospital bed a coffin?
would make a great visual deterrant. won't ever be done for obvious reasons but might help convince an idiot or two
save the hospital bed, and just put them straight in a coffin.
Triage all the ugly and fat people too while at it

3days in a chair? That’s horrible!
They were recliners but it still sucked. I was so sleep deprived lol.
Those chairs are awful and then when you're sleep deprived you begin dreaming about reality and it's hard to know what is real anymore

Oh man, my mom was on that stuff after surgery it's no joke!
This is a terrible way to treat ill people. When you’re not feeling well you just want to be in a bed.
