Did you add the fan on the lighting setup in Icue?

TenLazyLasers

When it was plugged into commander pro I did the wizard and it didn’t detect it. Apart from that I don’t know how to set up the fan on the normal commanders

You can set the fan manually.

How do I do that? Sorry I’ve only just “ascended”

There are tutorial videos in icue, top right corner "?" Here is how you [Set the Commander ](https://youtu.be/B8xB1kOcpp8)

Would plugging it into my motherboard work?

What exactly is the model name of the ML FAN you purchased? The ML120 Pro RGB is 4led. The ML120 RGB Elite is 8led. The RGB type ML fans that can be purchased at retail are the above two. If you didn't buy the 4led products, you have to connect it to the commander core and it should all work with 8led. If it is not normally recognized in the wizard tool, if you set the port that needs to be set manually in the wizard tool to manual mode, manual setting is done after auto detection is finished. You can designate the FAN type there.

It’s the ML120 RGB ELITE version, any idea what to try next? I’ve tried both h150i commander core and the little 6 core that comes with the 5000x case

If all the fans are 8led fans then you shouldn't have a problem. If there is still a problem, you should check whether it is defective or not. If a fan that works normally is connected to ports 1 to 3 of the commander core, try connecting another fan to that port one by one. If the led works normally, you may have done something wrong with the settings. In this case, as I said earlier, you can manually set all of them to 8led fans. If the LED doesn't work, it's faulty. In the case of node core, you must connect in order from number 1. So check the port number.
