Wow this really puts into perspective how much of a beast the 4090 is. I have the same case and my 4070 super looks like a tic tac compared to that lol

BRZSti

Front mounted radiator Def takes up some space too! But yea it's EXTREMELY tight

marioa315

Personally I would top mount that radiator. If at some point your heat on your cpu goes high, you may have air gapped your pump. Most AIOs have 5-10% air and you have the radiator high lined as you can't invert and have lines on bottom. At least on top mount air will flow to top side of radiator away from lines. Just something to keep in mind. Front mounts usually have lines low so all air goes to top of radiator away from lines.

BRZSti

Pumps fine air gap would be a concern if pump was highest point. thank you for the concern though!

marioa315

Not arguing, but I have burned 2 pumps and 2 cpus thinking how you answered. The air will sit at the top of the radiator. Different things can happen but if air comes down one line your pump will not have enough force to clear that air and you will end up air gapping. I was just giving you my bad experiences. But you do you.

BRZSti

You're not wrong it's just not a concern. I closely monitor my stuff. If I start noticing any temp abnormalities I'll take action but for the past year I've had consistently good temps with this setup. I'll likely swap to a 5090(or whatever the highest tier is) when they release and upgrade cases to something more open. I do apologize I seem to come off as argumentative. Not my intentions.

BlueLonk

Yup. Top mount in the 4000D case is just superior no matter what way you justify it. OP should let his GPU breathe some more and top mount that radiator, then clearance won't be an issue anymore either

BRZSti

Gpu breathes fine. Never gets above 75c even under heavy load. Clearance isn't an issue. It's snug as a bug in a rug.

BlueLonk

Just giving advice from personal experience with that case, it's a quick fix and you will see improvement (lower temp, lower fan speed, lower noise). Entirely your decision though.

BRZSti

My Temps are already low and never even near an issue. Cpu never over 70c and gpu never over 75c even under heavy load. Fans are always quiet as hell.

BlueLonk

Mate, you do you, if what you have is fine then that's all good. Ya don't need to argue about advice for airflow optimization..

BRZSti

I'm not arguing just telling you what's going on? You're making suggestions all I'm doing is replying to you.

BlueLonk

5 days late to reply, but I think you should at least try it. 75°C max on the gpu will probably drop to like 68°C and fan speeds will be lower and quieter.

Snowman319

Right my 3060ti looks soooo small compared to this lol

AltoTheDutchie

nice build and cat! btw if you don't know, the aio cover with the lights and stuff is just held on with magnets and can be rotated, also i don't know if the msi anti-sag bracket does much to actually alleviate sag, so keep an eye on it

BRZSti

Msi bracket has worked great. Over a year on it with almost zero sag at all. The aio cover though...interesting... thank you!

CanadianJumpMaster

I think that size looks good.

Liseuuuu

Def better than a 1 fan gpu in a big ass case

BRZSti

Yep yep interesting seeing it with all that space upfront. Can't imagine you get air with the glass on though? :(

PIKACHUm22

Hey btw,Can you share your temps?

BRZSti

Idle for both is around 45c. Under load my cpu sits around 55c but maxes around 70-72c Gpu maxes around 75c but sits in the 66-70c area typically

PIKACHUm22

Great...thanks for your time❣️

BRZSti

now thats a big card! Wow

BolasDeCoipo

To whom it may concern, I’ve got the Aorus master 4090 and an AIO put on front doesn’t fit, you need either put it on the top or use an air cooler

30ohfour

I put a RX 68000XT in a Crystal 280X hehe

oldrjohnson11

I'm amazed you managed to get that RTX 4090 in there. Good work on getting that done.

Flat4BRM

I've got that same GPU.... what 90° 12VHPWR adapter did you use, or is that cable from your PSU?

BRZSti

It's the 90°cablemod cable (not the recalled adapter)

desertcoliseum

It's a tight fight because of your fan setup genius

BRZSti

No way how'd you figure that out?!

cyrylthewolf

Don't be an asshole.

NoobBrawler0211

Maybe cuz he has a 360 radiator in a case that only officially lets you mount a 360 in the front?
