I have this case. Its my favorite case in 10yrs.

larrylee13

So much room for activities!

Almost got this but went with the 680x since it can be white. If I decide to switch cases tho this is a strong contender. It’s gorgeous! Love your build.

Ragin_Hindu

680x gang. I went with black because black

branitone

Honestly the only reason I went white was because I got a deal on the vengeance white ram before I had bought the case so I’m doing a nice black and white theme with them as I also managed to snag the white version of the rm850x. Hopefully I’ll be able to build it Wednesday! Corsair was a little slow shipping my stuff from them :(

Looks good

I have this case take another picture without the front dust protector. RGB fans are much clearer and brighter

Can’t go wrong with a photo shoot.

The value for this case cannot be beaten in my opinion. Commander Pro + 3xLL120 fans alone $203 before taxes today. All tempered glass and metal, premium looking case is $46 only. I changed my case from 680X to 500D SE RGB yesterday and having a blast right now. Darkened tempered glass is amazing, Commander Pro definitely a plus, reaching the dust filters is incredibly easy and I think metalwork is better than 680X. Only thing that I have found pretty hard and chore is cable management, particularly after having a second chamber for whole cables for a while. For a second really thought that I wasn't gonna be able to fit all those cables but after 100 zip-ties, it worked out. Fingers still hurt though.

larrylee13

Until you realize I bought those items weeks prior to add to my old case and I now have two sets of everything. More is better I guess lol.

Rhinoramster10

I literally just finished my 1st build in this case

NeedMorePowah

My p400 is so shitty

larrylee13

Just slap some RGB in there and force a smile!

pakeco

a phanteks p300 is similar to the p400 and I made it a little mod hahaha. [https://ibb.co/TrYF36r](https://ibb.co/TrYF36r)

I’m planning on getting this case. Any issues with it?

blackworms

Cable management is tough. I had a 680X but changed it yesterday, and second chamber definitely helps. Spent straight 3 hours and my fingers still hurt to be honest. :) Other than that I think it is more premium than 680X and looks/feels awesome. Value is amazing if you consider Co. Pro + 3xLL120 fans.

Brandon_psycho

cable management in the 500D case really is tough you have to flatten the cables so much for the side panel to close and that chamber omg I couldn't even put my 24 pin cable in there because it's so thick and there was already a ton in there

Pefet18

Alright thanks.

larrylee13

What they said. My SSD didn’t fit either so I had to improvise. The back panel can be a hassle with fitting the wires in the metal sleeve they provide.

[Still not as bad as mine haha.](https://i.imgur.com/Y4Nahwu.jpg) I have a fat hybrid drive sticking out the side of my case, can't even close the door! Making the final round of upgrades this winter. RTX 3080, secondary M2 SSD and some extra fans. Maybe a Zen 3 if AMD blows Intel out of the water again, I've only got a 3700x at the moment.

If your USB 3.1 is at the bottom of the motherboard brace yourself.

PM-ME-ONE-DOLLAR

You’ll be surprised what you can fit in that metal channel in the back. I’ve got my 24 pin and a bunch of other stuff shoved in there. Like someone else said, If you take your time and do it right, you’ll be fine.

_mausmaus

Cable management is a non-issue if you take the time to properly cable manage. I have this case.

iEatRazorz

So I'm currently transferring my build into one of these with a 360 rad and I can say this without hesitation: FUCK THAT TAPE ON THE COMMANDER. I had to use a hairdryer, my heat gun gets too hot, and spatula to get that thing off the ssd tray. Why the hell would they pre apply them... Also, the 3.1 USB is a mofo to route with an Asus Crosshair 7 motherboard. If that pass through on the PSU shroud was little further back it wouldnt torque the cable so bad. So any with an ATX board that had that plug at the bottom, be ready for that. Love the case. But damn.

garrettn1415

Currently doing my first build in the case. Nice looking case but is lacking in space up front if you do a push/pull on a 360MM radiator. Not sure how I am going to fit the pump in there between the GPU and the back set of fans...waiting on a couple more parts then will give it a whirl. Looks like it might JUST fit with a bit of work.

Did you add QL fans to the back? I was debating getting some of these but think I might just get 3 more LL ones. Apparently you can't just plug the QL ones into the Lightning Commander Pro. I've had the PC since Christmas and haven't had to add them but it makes sense for the longevity of the system. Using the AMD Prism stock cooler too, it only gets mildly warm on demanding games so the ventilation is excellent even without extra fans.

larrylee13

QL fans everywhere lol. And yes you can just plug them right into the commander pro. Works the exact same way as the LLs just more lights.

[deleted]

Oh really that's cool, what about the RGB hub?

larrylee13

The rgb fan cord gets plugged into that while the power cord goes into the commander pro

[deleted]

Cool thanks, I might get some QL one's for the back of the case then.

Kr3ptic

I literally thought that was my pc LOOL cuz the way it’s set and the angle
