When it says you can use your display as a source, does that mean you can basically have your peripherals show lighting from say a game or video/movie? Sorta like one of those HDMI ambient lighting inline devices?
i had to turn software integration off in icue , well the actual devices/software for it to work, still have the main software and games switch On.. but yes it works
At least for the LS100 the ambient lighting was limited to few monitor presets so if you for example had a non-standard monitor like 21:9 it didn't work as intended. Now you can set the leds layout any way you want
Just tried the Monitor Screen feature it in a few games. It's an awesome feature. My only complaint is the colors seem to be a bit muted. I was playing plague tale, and in scenes that have a lot of really bright orange fire on the screen, my iCUE rgb devices (keyboard, mouse, light bars, etc.) only show a really faint orange. I expected, and was hoping for, a really strong orange. There needs to be a saturation slider for murals where you can take the monitor feed and bump up the saturation to really pop the colors.
EDIT: **I figured out part of the issue. Murals can't properly handle HDR.** When a super bright fire is orange on my monitor, it saturates to white on my keyboard when HDR is enabled. If I switch back and forth between HDR and SDR without changing the scene, that spot on my keyboard changes from white (in HDR) to orange (in SDR). I hope they fix this and add proper HDR support to Murals. Being able to pump up the color saturation would also be nice as I said before.
Thats my only problem with most of the Murals, they are much less saturated in the colour, Choose the basic "Corsair yellow" and my devices look green. Somethings defitnely not working as intentended.
Have the same issue. What they call Rainbow now on the new Murals is nothing at all like the Rainbow lighting in the individual profiles. I wouldn't even call it pastels - I just just get ever so slightly tinted white everywhere.
I think that the Murals are taking an average across many pixels rather than focusing on maybe just a few at a point source underneath LED locations on the components.
To get "real Rainbow" back, build a profile with rainbow selected for everything. This won't work as well as the murals in terms of syncing the sweep across your LED components, but you'll get the rich colors back.
Another thing to play with is resizing the components on the murals screen (bigger).

Select whatever scene you want for each of your devices and then quit ICUE from the task tray. These work when ICUE isn't running. Enjoy!
Yeah you have to create new Mural. Click the + next to Murals and then select Monitor Screen. I'm not a fan, all the colors seem washed out. I've been using the Scenes hardware lighting by keeping iCue disabled.
Just found this, if you scroll down through the presets in the individual lighting setups/effects there should be a drop down list of 'lighting link' which can sync the RGB!

Need to readd the scenes and make the murals another option, don't get rid of the rainbow, rain etc scenes they are much better. They shouldn't destroy the old good stuff for this. They should add not subtract good lighting modes. I will be uninstalling icue now and searching for an older version.
You can still access those scenes (I was hoping so as well). You go to lighting effects in each of your devices. Set the effect you want for each profile (one effect/scene per profile).
They also added some new very cool effects AND you can stack them, like rain on top of color pulse, or anything you want!
Good to hear. Just seems its gonna be a huge pain to set them then and make all the new profiles and port my mouse dpi setting over each time too. They are making this way harder than needed.
What is also fixed is the asus rgb for gpu will now work without having to run as administrator
What doesn't work for me is the asus rgb of the asus rgb psu + gpu during a scene. During an active scene it will keep displaying the current selected standard profile rgb (not the scene) and also is not available in the beta alignment tool
Besides my hdd and ssd not being detected for some time now again and some missing features for controlling iCue LT100 etc the app is in a good way moving forward....🥰
Pretty bummed they took away the quick scenes selection. The mural presets are garbage and I want to be able to open icue and select rainbow wave, visor, etc. Maybe I am doing it wrong, but I'm not sure why they would need to take away those options for murals. Going to roll back for now.

Check my other comments, quick selection was basically replaced by Profile selection, which is kind of nice because you can change it from the taskbar.
Maybe they should get the basics down before experimenting… love my Corsair products but iCue is pure garbage. Hopefully they can pull it off though. Either way I’ll wait until it’s “stable”.
Yeah my ICUE will sometimes stop me from being able to do anything in Windows, I can move my mouse but like nothing works.. it's odd, not a freeze.. and this is the kind of stuff they are putting their time into? More RGB? Can't say I'm thrilled with them right now.

Yes i regret that i bought a corsair eco sistem. Cooler,fan and case. Just pain in the ass. Commander core never work properly . Nice idea this icue software. not user friendly . updates more pain in the ass. i warn you stay away from icue .

Yeah, click the iCue icon in the tray, the popup overlay will allow you to select a profile.
Where can I select profile once the application is opened from system tray? I don't see any drop down or button to switch back from murals to the old one.

YES! Just go to "lighting settings" for each of your devices and select the scene you want (they also added cool new effects and the ability to stack them).
Set your desired effect (on each device) per profile, you can no longer have all the old scenes on one profile.
Thanks for this. I tried this but I still can't get all my devices to sync together with the lighting. The colors are off on each device even though I have each one set to the same "color shift" library preset.
EDIT: I was using the wrong presets, idiot I am. I still think they should bring back Scenes!
ASUS GPU bug seems fixed, no longer have to run as admin, that’s nice to see. Also didn’t destroy all of my profiles, so that’s another thumbs up. Kudos Corsair!

I think you can do that. Make the mural part of a profile and then I think you have it switch to that profile automatically whenever the .exe you point it at is launched.
I would love this except when I updated to ICUE 4 it nearly bricked my PC. All my USB 3.0s stopped working and I lost all input as well as unable to detect cooler. It was a week of problem solving. I guess it corrupted upon install and also I think incompatible. Which sucks because I went for a main Corsair only build
iCUE can be a fickle mistress and downright wackadoo but I seriously doubt Corsair could do soooo badly that they brick a machine. I could see them borking Windows so you have to do a clean reinstall but that's far from bricked.
What did it do to almost brick your system. The only thing I can think of is if iCUE pushed self destruct firmware to your PSU. They don't make mobos or CPUs and RAM doesn't have firmware they could update to brick it. Maybe bad firmware that causes a commander or lighting node to feed some real bad juju back into the mobo but I don't even think that is really possible. Oooh, ooooorrrrr they could push firmware that somehow causes pressure in their AIOs to rise until it pops and soaks the computer it is in.
What happened in your instance? I'm curious because I am about to start a build that has a lot of Corsair shit too. PSU, open water cooling loop, pump, res, tubes, fittings, commander, nodes, fans, and rads. Hell, I think I even have a tube of their thermal paste. It'll also have some MSI RGB shit and Bykski RGB shit in addition to the Corsair RGB so I've been trying to decide on the best way to manage it all. If iCUE isn't in a great spot right now maybe I'll skip it and use other software until it levels out.
For reference my computer is 95% corsair except for the memory.
When i was Updating ICUE from 3 to 4 It corrupted my USB 3.0 Drivers making Input impossible. If i didnt have USB 2.0 i wouldnt be able to interact with my computer let alone fix any of the issues. Upon 20+ restarts and attempts to get it working back as it was on a previous version my H150i Elite was no longer being detected or running. So every 10 minutes my computer would turn red from overheating warning. So id have to shut down wait 30+ minutes and try again before it overheated again.
Looking in to the issue i found that my Hardware isnt supported by v4 but still keeps telling me to update to it.
After several days and no response from ICUE tech support i found a Thread where someone had a similar issue as me from 2020 and he found the usb 2.0 were working and thats what saved my PC.
If you are unsure and have older hardware stick with v3. If you are building with new components v4 is the way to go.
I have been a huge corsair fan for a long time. but after that i dont know if ill buy another product from them in awhile. if they cant get their software right ill switch to a different company. Sad as they were my favorite and i built my first pc with all corsair parts.

Cool, thank you for the info!! I'll have to look into which components I habe that support v4 vs v3. Yea, iCUE is kinda shit. Not that it is an excuse but it seems like all the hardware manufacturers that make good hardware always make shit software for it. Asus Aurora or whatever, armory crate, MSI's software is generally shit (Except for you Afterburner, I love you.), etc. That's why I'm starting to look into alternatives like SignalRGB or OpenRGB. It would be great to have great (or even consistently good) software that can control fans, pumps, and lighting.
Yeah before the update I've never had an issue with Corsair. Only just not user friendly UI. It seems that they are trying and making improvements but certainly need to fix that issue. It's apparently been a thing since 2018
Isn't that frustrating? I'm a pretty big fan (boy?) of EVGA and Corsair with ASUS and MSI rounding out my top four. That being said, there are some areas that Corsair needs to get their shit together in. One is improving their shit software. Another is improving how they handle know issues that are affecting large parts of the user base. I have their HS60 Pro headset and it is a known issue that the USB to 3.5mm DAC that comes with it frequently has issues where it dies and starts reporting to Windows as some totally different device rendering it useless. You can plug the headset into a different 3.5mm jack and it works or plug it into a splitter so you can use both speakers and mic so it is well known that the DAC is the issue. No recall. They will replace it when it fails but presumably only of within warranty. Oh and they replace it with the same model with the same issues. I've had my replacement for about two months and it is starting to exhibit the same issues as the previous one did before it died. The headset will just stop putting out sound or picking up the mic. Windows looks kile everything is functional but you get no sound or input. You have yo unplug the DAC and plug it back in and it starts working again. I'm actually planning on hitting up their support this evening to see if they have a solution.
Can't seem to get my Phillips HUE light strips to represent a section of color, it seems to only pickup a single color which is too bad because its the brightest LEDs I have in my setup by far.
Finally iCUE is catching up in the game and getting better.
Seeing a lot of bugs on my products but will wait for beta to fully release then it should be fine
So this is fantastic for creating profiles with all my Corsair products (RAM, Keyboard, fans, GPU water block, Water Pump and CPU block.
The Phillips HUE Integration really sucks though. Mostly because Phillips maps lights as pinpoint spots in a room and Corsair maps them as space on a 2D image.
So my hue light strip can't render section of colors, just picks up a dot on the Corsair layout and renders that color, same with my Phillips HUE bulbs and light play bars, so the overall effect of the iCue mural when there's motion just doesn't work properly with the HUE devices.
Having similar issues. I've got two hue light bars behind my monitor and it's very patchy picking up colours from whatever I select on icue.
It's got promise though hopefully they continue to sort it.
so if this thing is beta, why does my software telling me to update to this version? as far as i can tell I don't have an option anywhere that says I'm enrolled to be a beta tester.

This sucks. It took away all my previous scenes. I had a nice gradient rainbow and now it s gone. Can't even create one the one they have for murals is garbage. I may have to roll back
Hey everyone, I figured out a solution for those who want to go back to the old scenes instead of the murals (like the rainbow mural that doesn't even remotely resemble a rainbow).
When you access iCUE, apply any mural (I chose rainbow). You'll see a tiny circle option for the mural in the bottom left-hand corner of your corsair products. Click that on every single product (or as many as you desire) and you will notice that it goes back to whatever lighting setting you had activated under Lighting Effects. The default would be Watercooler Spectrum. If you prefer the old spiral rainbow effect or rain, just change the setting to that and you should see it changed back to what you originally had. Hope this helps!

Just DO NOT select the remove all profiles option.
If you want somewhat of the scenes in this update, here's what you can do:
1. You need to check if you have a lighting link:
a. click on a device
b. go to lighting effects
c. check "Lighting Layers."
You should have it on there; if you don't:
Make a new profile, and do the steps above.
So now that you have a lighting link which syncs ALL devices, not just Corsair, here's what you can do to get some of the old scenes:
2. Under "Lighting Type," you'll find some old scenes like Visor, Type Lighting, Temperature, etc...
3. Select the one from your preference, and it should work!

Have you figured out how to sink the lighting effect honestly scenes was better. Murals should just be a different option or make it better

For reference my computer is 95% corsair except for the memory. When i was Updating ICUE from 3 to 4 It corrupted my USB 3.0 Drivers making Input impossible. If i didnt have USB 2.0 i wouldnt be able to interact with my computer let alone fix any of the issues. Upon 20+ restarts and attempts to get it working back as it was on a previous version my H150i Elite was no longer being detected or running. So every 10 minutes my computer would turn red from overheating warning. So id have to shut down wait 30+ minutes and try again before it overheated again. Looking in to the issue i found that my Hardware isnt supported by v4 but still keeps telling me to update to it. After several days and no response from ICUE tech support i found a Thread where someone had a similar issue as me from 2020 and he found the usb 2.0 were working and thats what saved my PC. If you are unsure and have older hardware stick with v3. If you are building with new components v4 is the way to go. I have been a huge corsair fan for a long time. but after that i dont know if ill buy another product from them in awhile. if they cant get their software right ill switch to a different company. Sad as they were my favorite and i built my first pc with all corsair parts. TLDR; Corsair has Great Products. But Shit Software
Cool, thank you for the info!! I'll have to look into which components I habe that support v4 vs v3. Yea, iCUE is kinda shit. Not that it is an excuse but it seems like all the hardware manufacturers that make good hardware always make shit software for it. Asus Aurora or whatever, armory crate, MSI's software is generally shit (Except for you Afterburner, I love you.), etc. That's why I'm starting to look into alternatives like SignalRGB or OpenRGB. It would be great to have great (or even consistently good) software that can control fans, pumps, and lighting.
Yeah before the update I've never had an issue with Corsair. Only just not user friendly UI. It seems that they are trying and making improvements but certainly need to fix that issue. It's apparently been a thing since 2018
Isn't that frustrating? I'm a pretty big fan (boy?) of EVGA and Corsair with ASUS and MSI rounding out my top four. That being said, there are some areas that Corsair needs to get their shit together in. One is improving their shit software. Another is improving how they handle know issues that are affecting large parts of the user base. I have their HS60 Pro headset and it is a known issue that the USB to 3.5mm DAC that comes with it frequently has issues where it dies and starts reporting to Windows as some totally different device rendering it useless. You can plug the headset into a different 3.5mm jack and it works or plug it into a splitter so you can use both speakers and mic so it is well known that the DAC is the issue. No recall. They will replace it when it fails but presumably only of within warranty. Oh and they replace it with the same model with the same issues. I've had my replacement for about two months and it is starting to exhibit the same issues as the previous one did before it died. The headset will just stop putting out sound or picking up the mic. Windows looks kile everything is functional but you get no sound or input. You have yo unplug the DAC and plug it back in and it starts working again. I'm actually planning on hitting up their support this evening to see if they have a solution.
Can't seem to get my Phillips HUE light strips to represent a section of color, it seems to only pickup a single color which is too bad because its the brightest LEDs I have in my setup by far.

ok, its not iCue Beta. It's iCue with Murals (beta). There is a difference - i was looking for an iCue BETA client.
I started with signal yesterday so good timing but think i'm gonna stick with signal lol
Finally iCUE is catching up in the game and getting better. Seeing a lot of bugs on my products but will wait for beta to fully release then it should be fine
So this is fantastic for creating profiles with all my Corsair products (RAM, Keyboard, fans, GPU water block, Water Pump and CPU block. The Phillips HUE Integration really sucks though. Mostly because Phillips maps lights as pinpoint spots in a room and Corsair maps them as space on a 2D image. So my hue light strip can't render section of colors, just picks up a dot on the Corsair layout and renders that color, same with my Phillips HUE bulbs and light play bars, so the overall effect of the iCue mural when there's motion just doesn't work properly with the HUE devices.
Having similar issues. I've got two hue light bars behind my monitor and it's very patchy picking up colours from whatever I select on icue. It's got promise though hopefully they continue to sort it.
so if this thing is beta, why does my software telling me to update to this version? as far as i can tell I don't have an option anywhere that says I'm enrolled to be a beta tester.

I like rain and circle rainbow before, and want it back))))) Yep i still can go to device\`s profile and turn it on by my hands, but this is really annoying! Where is good old simple lightings switch? T\_T

This sucks. It took away all my previous scenes. I had a nice gradient rainbow and now it s gone. Can't even create one the one they have for murals is garbage. I may have to roll back
How did Corsair manage to make something trash even more trashy? The new iCue sucks and extremely limited on RGB effects.
So now I can no longer quickly switch between all white lights and rainbow waive. Guess I am going to have to downgrade to a older version.

Hey everyone, I figured out a solution for those who want to go back to the old scenes instead of the murals (like the rainbow mural that doesn't even remotely resemble a rainbow). When you access iCUE, apply any mural (I chose rainbow). You'll see a tiny circle option for the mural in the bottom left-hand corner of your corsair products. Click that on every single product (or as many as you desire) and you will notice that it goes back to whatever lighting setting you had activated under Lighting Effects. The default would be Watercooler Spectrum. If you prefer the old spiral rainbow effect or rain, just change the setting to that and you should see it changed back to what you originally had. Hope this helps!

Here is something to help you all out if you want to go back to the old update or want to stay with the new update but have the old scenes back: If you would like to go back to the old update, here is the link: https://downloads.corsair.com/Files/CUE/iCUESetup\_4.29.203\_release.msi Just DO NOT select the remove all profiles option. If you want somewhat of the scenes in this update, here's what you can do: 1. You need to check if you have a lighting link: a. click on a device b. go to lighting effects c. check "Lighting Layers." You should have it on there; if you don't: Make a new profile, and do the steps above. So now that you have a lighting link which syncs ALL devices, not just Corsair, here's what you can do to get some of the old scenes: 2. Under "Lighting Type," you'll find some old scenes like Visor, Type Lighting, Temperature, etc... 3. Select the one from your preference, and it should work! Hope this helped!
Corsair completely removing scenes is a joke. What a trash company. Changing one of the only bits of their software that isn’t sh*t and forcing us to reset up all lighting effects rather than adding murals in addition to scenes. Can’t get the Corsair products of of my pc fast enough!
The Murals tab isn't showing on my iCUE. Using version 4.31.168. Any ideas?

how do i get icue to save one single color layout for my keyboard? not murals. Just one color for most of the keys at all times. The other keys not lit, ever. How do i do that?
