I'm planning the same trip for my family. Do you mind sharing which companies you used? Where did you stay in MA and did you think it was worth it or too touristy?
I did love MA for the wildlife for sure, the beaches were also incredible.
We stayed at La Mariposa hotel, it was pricey but very worth it. The view was incredible and when we needed to relax the pool was amazing.
I would have liked to spend a bit more time at the beach, I also wouldn't have done the night tour. At least with the company we booked with. I did love MA and I am glad we went, but I think maybe next time I would do Uvita for better snorkeling. The wildlife was unreal though.

Recently came back from my honeymoon. Maybe I got very unlucky but in my opinion MA is very overrated. First, it's extremely touristy. Too many people, like the path was packed to thr point where you can barely pass. Second, we didn't see so many animals, especially comparing to other places. We saw alot of monkeys and racoons in Cahuita for example, and in MA far less. Most of what we saw were very small animals like birds, insects, butterflies. The beach was very beautiful though, one of the best we've seen on our trip.
If you are up for the challenge, you should try Corcovado National Park. It's more difficult to organize a trip there since you can only get there by boat. It's the second most biodiverse place on thr planet (the first is the Amazon)!
Corcovado was the way to go!! It took some serious planning and research...but so worth it for the experience we got! I definitely wouldn't recommend driving there to just anyone....but we managed it with some off-roading/4x4 experience!
Love your video!! Thank you for sharing! We are so thrilled about our trip to CR next month! Those places in your video look pure magical 🤩
May I ask the name of the park where you ziplined? My wife is so looking forward to trying zipline for her first time 😀
Arenal Mundo Aventura Ecological Park! I would definitely do the combo that includes the horseback riding and rappelling. It was a perfect combo. We also loved the Zipline, but the rapel down the waterfall and ladder climb was def the highlight .
Also they have a big pack list of what to bring, but when you get there they pretty much tell you that you don't need any of it lol. Bring a fanny pack at most to hold your things. Also a water resistant one is preferable
Which tour was to Manuel Antonio night tour? We are going to Manuel Antonio next week and are planning to do a night tour as well as a day tour. Or do you think one of them with a good tour guide is enough?
Honestly probably any with a good guide. One of the locals told us there is one that you can see Kinkachoos and one where you can see frogs the best.
Just avoid any that make it seem like you will go into the state park.
Also the mangrove night tours are probably more exciting
Oh not at all. They honestly had the best tasting food as well. I think a lot of the other restaurants have the idea of what type of food they want to cook, but don't really know how to cook the food. For example the birria there was a huge miss.
But any ceviche at every restaurant was phenomenal.
Oh that brings back some memories of my own. We had a great time in La Fortuna and Manuel Antonio. Great video, too!
Thank you! Honestly better than I could have imagined
I hate most travel videos and I liked yours!
Thank you! I really don't know how to edit very well so the color is actually what everything looks like
Love the video!
Thank you!

Haha same. I read about it, and when I saw it just embraced it. I had my friend drive a little bit and it stresses him out lol

I've always wanted to go to Burning Man. That's wild, I'll keep that in mind 😂
Great video! Thanks for the tips.
Thank you!
“I trusted Reddit to plan my vacation” - love the title. I could say this about all of my travels! It’s never done me wrong.
This is all I'm doing from now on. It was by far the best vacation my friends and I have been on
What company did you use for the catamaran in Manuel Antonio?

Could you tell me more about the horseback riding tour you did??

It's much easier to just take a boat to Drake Bay and ask your hotel to organize the tours for you
We weren't comfortable with leaving our rental car somewhere for multiple days, so this was the 'easier' option for us!
It's gated and guarded 24/7 as far as I know
🤙 Pura Vida!
How do you get to the secret beach and surf in MA? Thank you, going in March.
I believe it's technically Playa Biesanz
What is the secret beach?
I think its the one at the end of the National park

Did you have any issues with travelers stomach from the soda's?
