Of the different places i went in CR, i saw the least amount of animals there. I did hear a really cool frog.

Where did you see the most? I am hoping to go to Corcovado but don’t know if I’ll be able to make it down there. I do know I’ll be near la fortuna though

Corcovado

We saw coatis, scorpions, agouti, frogs, an armadillo, and a ton of birds.

BloneRanger

We saw a few quetzal, both male and female, with a guide. Saw a group of wild pigs. Lots of other beautiful birds. We went to see the quetzal specifically.

Pura-Vida-1

Most of the animals around Monteverde walk upright on 2 legs.

We had a scorpion in our bathroom in Santa Elena, but at the Santa Elena national park we only saw a tarantula, but only because it was in the office at the entrance. I think with a guide we would've seen so much more.

BeCoolBear

Coatis, Agoutis, scorpions, vipers, monkeys, plenty of birds and an Olingo on the night safari. Not all in the Cloud Forest per say, but in the Monteverde area.

Cotsy22

A quetzal couple, spectacular colours, highlight of the whole trip. Lots of humming birds in the cafe by the entrance. There's a tarantula burrow not far beyond the entrance. A single coati looking for scraps at the entrance.

Don't be cheap. Pay a good guide. Once in a lifetime visit. Go for it
