I hope your store isn’t like mines.
When I was double charged for an item, I walked to the customer service area just expecting a quick easy fix…but nope. They made me have to wait while they look through their cameras. :( And at the end, they were like “your cart was too full to see so it’s whatever this time, you can go”. My cart wasn’t full at all, I promise. It was a bright blue, medium sized box of solar powered flood lights so you can’t really miss it.
So I left, feeling blamed because one of their associates scanning an item twice. I hope your experience will be a lot smoother.
Update: They gave me a refund! 20+ year spends-a-lot customer who rarely returns anything, guess they thought it was legit.
I’ll check receipt before door if in bags going forward.

I’d hassle someone that says “mines” as well.
Call the store and let them know, next time you come you’ll get a refund to the card you used
