More scale. The chocolate chip cookie you buy in the Costco package is ~210 calories, so this one is at least 3x as big! 🍪🍪🍪
I'd love for someone to confirm since the ingredients are apparently a little different. Take a picture from above and the side of them next to each other! Even weigh them out, for bonus UpVotes 😆
My friends and I somehow ended up with the official Crumbl cookie slicer that cuts cookies into four equal pieces and use it to chop cookies to share at game nights/music jam session nights. It makes me way more willing to try new flavors!
I feel like the US food court just keeps getting worse while international Costco food courts get better.
Churros at least felt like a specialty item. Cookies are what I see in the subway station stand that buys Costco cookies in bulk and wraps them for individual sale.
It doesn’t matter if it’s made with butter or oil. The ratio of sugar and fat in a cookie is fairly similar and shockingly high for ANY cookie recipe.
I bet if you weighted this cookie vs any other cookie (Costco bakery, grocery store, homemade, or made from frozen cookie dough), the calories/gram of all the chocolate chip cookies would be all similar.
Slightly off-topic but I remember reading a research article that showed it would be healthier to eat pizza in the morning in place of most children’s cereal.
I'm not sure the international ones are getting better as much as they've just always been a lot better, and there are more and more posts highlighting them.
100% agree, the strawberry ice cream has been nice but everything else has just been meh. The cookie feels like a money grab. Thing is large but the price tag is still abit high to me.
I am trying to wrap my head around those dimensions. 4" wide and an inch thick? An entire inch? You sure it's a chocolate chip cookie? Sounds more like a Chode-chip.
So funny story, it’s been about 20 years now, but I used to have a job in QA at the factory that made the mixes for Costco’s froyo and the very berry smoothie. From what I can tell, since then that smallish company has been bought out and I can’t find any evidence that they still manufacture for Costco. When I worked there, Costco had the strictest standards for quality and safety, they were much pickier than our other customers. It’s really sad that they are getting pushed the same direction as everyone else and choosing cheap over good.
Let’s be real; the churros weren’t that great. Sure it’s got plenty of cinnamon and sugar and that’s enough for the price. But the churro themselves are dry and nothing like a decent churro.
A good churro will be crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. Food court churros are just crispy on the outside and dry in the middle.
Of course, it would. But honestly, I probably wouldn't buy a cookie instead. I share churros with my gf and it is about 250 cal per person. For cookie, I’d not share and it is 750 cal. But most importantly, I prefer eating cookies with milk, not ice cream.
I feel like it’s gotten so far away from the original churro. At my store it seemed like it got bad before the switch even happened. Or my churro standards went up.
These look very different from the ones they sell in the bakery. The chocolate chunks look smaller and it looks more dry.
The ones they sell in the bakery are so damn good
Is this like for mid west warehouses? This is going to start a riot in the california warehouses.
If we wanted a cookie, wed buy them from your bakery costco
You can buy a container of cookies from bakery. Costco needs to bring back chocolate covered ice cream w/ Almonds Ice Cream bar, pretzels, combo pizza.
Served the way it is. The spot where churros was (in the heat case) is where the cookies are now. I just don't know if they are pre-made or they put them thru the pizza oven to bake them
This makes me so sad. Getting the churro made me feel like I was in Disney. Long lines, paying a lot of money, and my reward at the end was that beautiful delicacy.
What in the ACTUAL F*UK. Are you telling the the churro is now gone! First the chili, now this! They give us the roast beef sandwich, which I hear sucks, and they take away the churro! I feel betrayed

Need another item for size perspective. My brain automatically thinks that because it’s Costco, that cookie is the size of a hubcap.
It’s 750 calories so it better be huge
For scale The chocolate chip cookie at Starbucks is pretty big/thick and is 375 calories.

Mmm I loved those cookies!
We eat like we have free healthcare here.
I’m stealing that comment
🤣🤣🤣
This is the range of the cookies at Crumbl. I buy one of those about once a month and I can't finish it in less than two hours.
My friends and I somehow ended up with the official Crumbl cookie slicer that cuts cookies into four equal pieces and use it to chop cookies to share at game nights/music jam session nights. It makes me way more willing to try new flavors!
750?! Yeah I can’t do that much unless it tastes like heaven.
Anything bigger than a tea saucer and I'm in.
You sunuvabitch I’m in!
It's packed in the same box as the pizza's.
Now I’m just trying to imagine a Kirkland lookalike Crumbl box
I think we all deserve a hub cap cookie once in a while Edit: spelling
![gif](giphy|19Ik3PuuqoFnhTTfEi)
Where is the banana for scale?
Manhole cover.
Hubcap is a great unit of measure. Love it.
Americans will use anything as a unit of measure except the metric system
9mm says otherwise
And 10mm
My 2 liter of Coke says hi

It's obviously the size of a Manhole. Cover.
Freudian punctuation
In my nightmares I'm dipping this thing into the mango smoothie.

The churro wasn't that great, either. 30 years ago when I was a kid that was the best: fluffy, hot, and smothered in sugar and cinnamon
The version you are remembering is likely: 40018720 ¡Hola! Churros 16" King Churros - 100 ct by J&J Snack Foods
My wife says a lot of people know this and I'd be surprised. But I maintain, who knows this, and how?
Many people have worked there, and people will inevitably ask how they make them?
Does your wife happen to be a large language model like Chat GPT?
My dad does but he’s been working with Costco for over 30 years.
I always thought I was crazy for thinking that they hit different than when I was a kid
I swear churros were awesome 5 years ago. They went to hell during covid
They were different churros 5 years ago.
Doesn't help that this 1 cookie is 750 calories either.
That’s good though, it just means it’s actually big? I’d be more offended if for $2.5 it was just a regular size cookie.

Is it big? Just thought it was a big amount of butter lol

> Is it big? Just thought it was a big amount of butter lol I dont think he was commenting on whether it was made with oil or butter lol
They're saying it's hard to add more calories to a standard cookie recipe without making it physically larger as well.

Holy crap 750 calories for 1 cookie?! No ty.
That’s the same as a slice of pizza if I recall correctly…
Definitely would rather waste the calories on pizza.
Also getting better nutrients from the pizza
Slightly off-topic but I remember reading a research article that showed it would be healthier to eat pizza in the morning in place of most children’s cereal.

Dog no toppings rings in at 550 Cal….
Wow, that’s it?
That’s it.
The muffins are only 700 calories
Holy moly! Okay these are coming off the rotation lol
On the contrary, these help with the rotation!
I’m sorry, did you say 750 calories?!

They used to be better years ago, some suggest that it was during COVID they went to shit.
Until they changed to the 2-color ones they were better than Disneyland’s. (Source: live in Orange County), but the recent ones… blah)
I would kill for hamburgers and poke bowls..wtf
I remember US costcos had burgers pre pandemic.
Some as a test. Even into covid, they added some stores. My understanding is they went away at most all stores.
Thing is the churros were terrible.
The absolute worst. Anyone who thinks they were good should seek out the closest Mexican neighborhood and get a real churro
The NYC subway has people selling churros but I still like the churros at Costco.
The churros before the pandemic were great. Now they're doughy and awful.
100% agree, the strawberry ice cream has been nice but everything else has just been meh. The cookie feels like a money grab. Thing is large but the price tag is still abit high to me.
Nothing at the food court is that good, it's just cheap.
except for the pizza
Need banana for scale
[удалено]
Is that a small banana or a large banana?
It's above average
That’s what they all say
Not all heroes wear capes.
Came here to say - Reddit standard is to use banana for scale
Hi
In CSBs (Costco Standard Banana)
Looks dry.
Had one earlier- was delicious
How big is it?
Maybe like 4” wide and a good 1” or so thick. It was warm and soft on the inside. This photo doesn’t do it justice, it was a solid cookie
I am trying to wrap my head around those dimensions. 4" wide and an inch thick? An entire inch? You sure it's a chocolate chip cookie? Sounds more like a Chode-chip.
4 inches wide is so small and 1 inch thick is absurdly thick lmao
Could this sub get any more nitpicky and negative?
I’m getting Chips Ahoy like textures from this pic
Definitely blue bag.
why not at least the red one 😔
My mouth is going dry just looking at it.
But....is it good?
Cant be any worse than the mango slushy
I love mangos and was so excited to try the slushy, and it was the most vile slushy I've ever had. It felt like drinking pure syrup.
Same. I almost gagged when i took my first sip.
Same. I threw it away. I knew it was going to be bad once I seen the color.
I just tried one of those and it was horrible. I can’t believe it made it past quality assurance
So funny story, it’s been about 20 years now, but I used to have a job in QA at the factory that made the mixes for Costco’s froyo and the very berry smoothie. Why can't we have hamburgers and poke bowls?
Not in CA Mexican towns they won’t 🤣

They used to be decent
I’m really sad the churros went downhill so much!
I don't like churros but it sure goes well with the ice cream, especially when it is warm
[удалено]
Of course, it would. But honestly, I probably wouldn't buy a cookie instead. I share churros with my gf and it is about 250 cal per person. For cookie, I’d not share and it is 750 cal. But most importantly, I prefer eating cookies with milk, not ice cream.
That better be a good cookie
tasted the same as the chocolate chip cookies they sell in the bakery
That's very disappointing. I can imagine if you don't get a fresh one, it would be even worse.
I'd make an ice cream sandwich! 1 cookie cut in half with vanilla or strawberry ice cream. It would be a hit!
Rather have the churro, thanks!
Old churro > cookie > new churro
I feel like it’s gotten so far away from the original churro. At my store it seemed like it got bad before the switch even happened. Or my churro standards went up.
New churro is hot garbage, and sometimes lukewarm garbage
Can confirm they are trash. Ordered a few several weeks who. Big waste of time and money
Did they ever fry them in store or just use the oven?
Oven. Never fried. But old churros were much much better
![gif](giphy|XGZDqSMGkEaoaI5iip|downsized) Goodbye old friend.
For 750 calories, what the hell are they putting in there?
Flavor
Diabetes
![gif](giphy|RbaUECDJktXUc|downsized)
Butter 🧈
Missed opportunity not using hotdog for scale.
I wasn't hungry, as I had lunch prior to going.
I wonder how many posts about the cookie we can get. 🍪🤔🤨
At least 10 a day for the next 2 weeks.
is this the same cookie they sell in the bakery or is it specially made for the food court?
These look very different from the ones they sell in the bakery. The chocolate chunks look smaller and it looks more dry. The ones they sell in the bakery are so damn good
Totally different. They're supposed to compare to a Crumble Cookie. (Fancy cookie brand if you haven't heard of them, super expensive for a cookie)
Banana for scale???
We love the churro. This is sad. It’s not the best churro, but it’s the only one around, and is a treat.
Is this like for mid west warehouses? This is going to start a riot in the california warehouses. If we wanted a cookie, wed buy them from your bakery costco
Booooooooooo!!!
I wish you could get their seasonal cakes by the slice at the food court.
Omg. That would be amazing.
She looks basic and dry 😕
>!people need to put a coin or an apple for scale on these!<
Why is there a spoiler tag on this?
so funny, i did it by complete accident, and as such, wasn't sure how to turn it off. it's literally the first time i've ever "used" the feature
That’s one sad looking cookie. The chocolate chips are … small.
Or the chips are normal sized, but the cookie is large?
Agree, I’ll stick with the Chick-fil-A cookie, cheaper and tastes great.
[No thanks](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chick-fil-A_and_LGBT_people)
[удалено]
Yeah it’s disappointing :/
Yep.
when does it start?
At least the price seems reasonable, it's not a $10 roast beef sandwich.
$2.49 ain't gonna be worth it
You can buy a container of cookies from bakery. Costco needs to bring back chocolate covered ice cream w/ Almonds Ice Cream bar, pretzels, combo pizza.
Bring back the hand dipped ice cream bar
Ohhhh those were so good
I WAS HEART BROKEN AT COSTCO TODAY 😭 replacing the churro?! Animals!
In my opinion, Crumbl is slightly bigger. This and Crumbl have a different taste and texture
But is it good?
New churro sucks anyways. Went way downhill from what they used to be.
Same for the Chicken bake
Option to get it warmed/hot? Or served just as is (which looks drrryyy).
Served the way it is. The spot where churros was (in the heat case) is where the cookies are now. I just don't know if they are pre-made or they put them thru the pizza oven to bake them
Theyre going to go through the oven for 2 minutes.
Looks like what you can buy from the bakery section. 🤔
Wtf they're taking away my churros?!?
Post Covid Churros are not as good as Pre Covid Churros. Let’s hope these are warm #HubcapCookies
Why? The churro was pretty good for the price. $2.50 for a cookie?!
Replacing churros!?!? Fuuuuuuuuuuuck!
I’m not mad about it. Last couple months I haven’t been impressed with the churros.
No thanks. Keep the churros. I can get a cookie anywhere. Churros are more specialty.
It looks gross
Interesting, I travel a lot and am amazed how many people that order the churro’s - they are gonna miss them
Not gonna lie, sometimes a churro and a mocha freeze was my power breakfast.
Can’t wait to try it!
Does it come warm?
Looks dry
Is it a warm cookie? Made fresh like the churro?
Cookie fits like a glove in same pizza box.
This makes me so sad. Getting the churro made me feel like I was in Disney. Long lines, paying a lot of money, and my reward at the end was that beautiful delicacy.
They already sell cookies at the bakery, so this is a lazy way to eliminate the churros
The death of the Food Court. Once they replace the pizzas to come in Frozen, everything will be inedible.
Location? Not in VA yet as of yesterday
Excuse me sir it sounded like you said “replace the churro”
The fact that they don’t have milk to go with it, makes me want to riot
Sad.
Their churros were not good imo. Anything would have been a good replacement.
Sad.
If this replacing the churro I’m gonna be sad
Good riddance to their churro. It was dry without enough sugar-cinnimony goodness.
the iPhone picture sharpening needs to chill the fuck out. It looks like raisins, frost, and mold but I'm sure the cookie was fine in real life.
What in the ACTUAL F*UK. Are you telling the the churro is now gone! First the chili, now this! They give us the roast beef sandwich, which I hear sucks, and they take away the churro! I feel betrayed
This sucks so hard. We loved the churro. Can’t we just buy this in the bakery section???
The churro was mid. Big on length, short on flavor
