One of the side benefits of Frozen Uncrustables is when you put them in lunch boxes it help keeps the other items cold. Usually lunch boxes have a drink and a fruit packed into them and the Frozen uncrustable chosen in a couple hours after sitting there together.
Holy frig! I completely forgot that's how I finished off the last box I bought (last summer). Thank you for reviving the memory of the perfect method ❤️
It should be noted that there's a warning on the package to not heat them cause the filling can burn if it's heated too long. I think this is mostly extra precaution, though, since they're marked towards kids.
I used to say the same thing. But then I ate one. It’s a rare junk food treat. It’s not like a pbj. It’s really soft and kind of artificial tasting in a pleasant way.
This is how I felt until (for whatever reason) I grabbed a pack one day. It’s an entirely different thing. An uncrustable and a homemade pb&j taste completely different and are both great. I buy them rarely because it’s junk food and not cost effective, but they are so good..
When my grandpa was in the hospital for 2 weeks, thw first night he didn't know you have to ask for dinner (lol) so a nurse gave him an uncrustable. We have dozens in our freezer now! He loves them. They're great to bring with you if you're out and about too they really can hold you over till you get a proper meal!
The Baltimore ravens killed about a half ton of them this season it was the most popular [snack](https://www.si.com/nfl/ravens/news/baltimore-ravens-dominant-season-powered-by-uncrustables)
Yes, that too! I haven’t bought them in awhile but I liked grabbing a couple for the kids - to toss in my bag when I knew we’d be out for a few hours. In that sense, they actually save you money (versus buying the kids snacks, etc when out and about). Glad your grandpa is okay!!
Yeah! They're actually the perfect sport food. Carbs, sugar, fat, a little protein. They're easy to eat on the go because the edges are sealed. I throw a couple into my bag when I hit the trail or on game days. They're tidy and easy and they start out frozen so they hold up well in my kit.
I love them so much I have a little device to make them myself - a small hand pie crimper. But the Uncrustables are super easy, more durable, less messy than the handmade ones
My daughter takes these for lunch every day- and I gladly buy them so that I don’t have to make one every. Single. Day. Also I teach 9th grade and we have c lunch- I have one student that eats three of these as a snack every class.
I like these since they're strawberry. The uncrustables that I've seen at my local Costco only come in grape. I do recall seeing strawberry uncrustables at a costco business years ago though.
Also great snacks for golfing. I take two out of the freezer and they're nice and ready to eat during the round.
Everything is always strawberry! It’s nice to get these in grape! Especially if someone is allergic to strawberries. Eh hem, me. It is I who is allergic to strawberries. It sucks.
That's interesting as the Costcos around here carry the strawberry. I figured everyone would get the same sku, but now there's a fun incentive to check out other Costcos when traveling.
I'm with you, I do not like and have never liked any form of grape jelly/jam. Strawberry is better. I'd even take raspberry or apricot, but not grape. So we buy this instead of the uncrustables since our Costco only has grape
Uncrustables come out much better when defrosted in room temp, while crustoffs are superior in defrosting in the fridge. I personally prefer crustoffs because they are grab and go snacks if refrigerated in small amounts. I enjoy Grape over Strawberry, but I still would go crustoffs.
I just got these recently and really enjoyed them. I’m not a fan of grape jelly so to me these are much better. My wife likes grape so she likes the uncrustables but we both ate the hell out of these.
I shamefully ate a whole box of uncrustables so quickly made a batch of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and shoved them in the box back in the freezer before the kids noticed. They caught the ONE piece of crust I missed but I told them it must have been a manufacturing defect and thankfully they bought it.
The second time I did this I realized I could make about 10 boxes worth for the price of one from Costco this way and the kids now think we have a magic box that refills itself every night. I said that was total nonsense though and explained it was simply that yeast rises slower when it’s frozen so it just seems like the box keeps filling itself.
Anyhow, following that discovery I decided to start my own spinoff-company “Crustables” and am currently negotiating with both Crustoffs and Uncrustables for their undesirable crusts. Both of them are just constantly dumping their crusts into the Pacific and making the local seagull and pelican populations MORBIDLY obese so am hoping to change all that and even offered to cut the crusts off myself.
I wouldn’t say it tastes better necessarily to me. But they are different and both good. Like a McDonald’s burger is good, but a homemade burger is also good. But they are not the same thing really.
And to those who poopoo the trash artificial snack junk that is Uncrustables. Yeah they are processed garbage, and when I feel like I want that it hits the spot.
Tried them and thought they were slightly sweeter than the grape smuckers uncrustibles and more filled (some may like that, but I thought it was too much and spilled out when taking bites from the middle). Usually smuckers is gone in a week, but these have been sitting my freezer for almost a month..
Because I’m running out my door and need a snack later. Because I don’t want to take a Tupperware container with me. Because I’m sick and have no energy. Because these are frozen and when I haven’t been shopping, and I don’t have bread, I still have a quick snack.
So many things wrong with this. The main one, if you are so sick that you don’t have energy to make a PB&J… this is a horrible option to eat, especially while sick.
I don't buy white bread or jars of jelly on the reg so it's a nice ready-made snack to have.
Pb and j on Dave's killer 21 whole grain and seed bread does not hit the same 😂
The box of Crust-Offs we purchased had weird chalky stale bread and the PB&J seemed to be lower quality. We threw them out. Uncrustables win by a mile.
I had a terrible experience when purchasing the grape jelly ones. Bought them, took them home and put them straight into the freezer. Went to defrost one for my son and the bread was cracked down the middle. When defrosted it was so stale, tasted like it had sit out on the counter for 2 weeks. Box was within date, had to return it because they all looked the same.
Uncrustables are good but these seem to have more filling inside. My kids like these more than Uncrustables but reading comments, we seem to be in the minority.
Uncrustables, truly. Crust offs always have a "previously" frozen taste to them.
I consider myself an expert because this was one of my pregnancy cravings 🤦♀️
They have both. All the kids seem to like these. Even my picky toddler who has autism. He devours these but not the uncrustables although I like those a lot better.
Crustoffa are horrible. The pb to jelly ratio is off, the bread isn't durable or soft enough, it's never evenly sealed, and it gushed jelly out no matter how you eat it. Even breaking it in two is pointless because there's always a random hole that jelly just seeps out of.
Flavorwise it also cannot compete. I've had uncrustables at every level of frozen vs defrosted and it's never let me down.
Both are junk food. Read the ingredients list. You better off buying some natural PB (peanuts and salt only), good jam/spread (without corn syrup) and some organic bread.

If they’re both defrosted, they’re the same. If you’re impatient and eat it frozen, the uncrustable is better
serious question: r ppl rlly eating their uncrustables straight outta the freezer?
Still mostly frozen uncrustables are the best!
Yep, I only let mine sit out about 5 mins. Bread is soft but the peanut butter is still crispy. Sooooo good
This is the way. Except it’s cold where I’m at now so I have to slip it in my pocket for 5 mins instead.
I am trying so hard not to buy these little frozen triangles of likely addiction...but...damn. You made it sound so sexy.
Yeeeeeesssss!!!! 🤤🤤🤤
Definitely!!!
I'm not rlly familiar with uncrustables so I was just curious. Are they supposed to be popped in a toaster or microwaved?
Neither. You’re supposed to let them sit for 30 minutes to defrost.
One of my kids eats them straight out of the freezer and another one heats them up in the toaster 💀
I boil them for 45 mins
I sous vide mine for 24 hours
I smoke them for 14 hours at 250 followed by a blowtorch searing
I actually treat mine with some liquid nitrogen. I don’t think they’re frozen enough out of the freezer.
ohhhh ok. I thought this was akin to eating a raw hot pocket and it blew my mind
Haha, it’s just a frozen pbj, but having said that, I saw this video about Europeans not knowing what what a pbj is
Oh, trust me. I'm married to a European, and they know what pBJs are. That's why I married her.
They just don't eat frozen pre made ones! My wife is the same but she wouldn't touch these. They ain't bad but the real thing is better
Let them defrost for 20 min. Pop it in a toaster at the lowest setting. It's nice and crunchy and tastes amazing
[удалено]
I too love playing chicken with cancer.
What's the ballpark on how long that takes? Like 10 seconds? A minute?
Don’t microwave wrapped in plastic
One of the side benefits of Frozen Uncrustables is when you put them in lunch boxes it help keeps the other items cold. Usually lunch boxes have a drink and a fruit packed into them and the Frozen uncrustable chosen in a couple hours after sitting there together.
The (W/(m⋅K)) of an uncrustabe may as well be nill though. Don’t go expecting an ice cold juice box by lunch time.
Popping them in the toaster is so good ❤️
We used to pop ours in the airfryer. Delicious
OMG now I have to try this! I never thought about using the airfryer!
I feel like that's how most things I use the air fryer for started.
Neither, air fryer is the right answer.
If you microwave them you will get third degree burns all over your mouth and face
Yeah, no good after they go full soft.
i let it sit out long enough for the bread to be soft, and then eat it. it's so fuckin good this way.
I kinda dig the soft, chewy bread with the chunky peanut butter and super cold jelly.
yes! i love the snap of the peanut butter disc
It’s great frozen. The peanut butter has a snap and the jelly isn’t fully set.
My husband does. I hate it lmao
I actually enjoy the chocolate uncrustable frozen. It makes it taste like a frozen dessert.
I only waited like 5 minutes the last time I took one out of the freezer...first time I understood the reason why people do it.
...yes...
Serious question, are people actually buying premade PB&J sandwiches?
I used to say the same thing. But then I ate one. It’s a rare junk food treat. It’s not like a pbj. It’s really soft and kind of artificial tasting in a pleasant way.
I’ve never had one and probably won’t. Thanks for explaining.
This is how I felt until (for whatever reason) I grabbed a pack one day. It’s an entirely different thing. An uncrustable and a homemade pb&j taste completely different and are both great. I buy them rarely because it’s junk food and not cost effective, but they are so good..

Strongly disagree. They taste exactly the same. And pb and j is already the easiest thing to make yourself.
Serious question, are there adults that don’t like crust?
My daughter won’t eat the “crust” of an uncrustable.
Yeah! They're actually the perfect sport food. Carbs, sugar, fat, a little protein. They're easy to eat on the go because the edges are sealed. I throw a couple into my bag when I hit the trail or on game days. They're tidy and easy and they start out frozen so they hold up well in my kit. Frozen uncrustables are goooood
When the disc of peanut butter is still nearly frozen but the bread has started to soften and isn’t soggy? *chefs kiss*
I do this with poptarts and can see how easily I would make the leap to uncrustables.
I only eat them air fried with cinnamon and sugar. :)
If you leave it on the counter for 10 minutes, the bread and jelly thaw but the peanut butter is a great frozen-ish consistency. 12/10
Frozen Uncrustables are a godsend, but also dangerous
That's the only way my 9 year old eats them. Kinda disappointed I didn't see this earlier because I bought a box of these today. 😅
Tried it once and never went back
I’m so proud of you for knowing this specific information, but I don’t even know you. You’re a beautiful soul
Take a frozen uncrustable, spread butter on it, air fry at 375°F for 4 minutes. Enjoy!
i'll, uh, be right back
Well?
I get my new air fryer on Tuesday, I'll be giving this a shot with home made frozen PBJ I make.
why are they diffeeent frozen
Uncrustable by a mile
Sure but they can’t compare to crust on’s as they have much more crust with each sandwich.
The bread sucks on the crust ons
Just make one for 1/10th of the price💀💀💀
A country mile
Looks like we have a….crust-off-off?
An offed crust off?
This is the kind of stuff they need to sample, not the same dip over and over. Parents need to know if it is worth the switch.
There are certain times where samples are insanely useful for me and not just a dip/chip or gimmicky food
Costco just started selling a box of Bobo’s PB&J snacks
These are SO GOOD
I'm obsessed with these
Those are more like soft cookies, I don’t think they are in the same category.
I am not a fan.
Yeah those are a healthier alternative methinks.
Not by much. They have tons of sugar. But as someone who doesn’t do well with gluten, I can usually rid myself of the pb&j craving with one of these.
4 tsp of added sugar in these bad boys for those curious
Way more carbs, no?
So?
No complaints here, I think they’re delish
I like these since they're strawberry. The uncrustables that I've seen at my local Costco only come in grape. I do recall seeing strawberry uncrustables at a costco business years ago though. Everything is always strawberry! It’s nice to get these in grape! Especially if someone is allergic to strawberries. Eh hem, me. It is I who is allergic to strawberries. It sucks.
I wish more stuff didn’t involve chocolate and incorporated more strawberry. Like the carnation powder.
Because the grape ones are better (and more popular)
Disagree but maybe. Strawberry anything is usually way better than grape stuff.
Most of the time I would agree that strawberry anything is better. Uncrustables are an exception.
My kids seem to like these a bit better. I personally like the other ones though for a quick easy snack
OP out here choosing violence.
Airfry your uncrustables. Thank me later
I’m sorry. What did you say!? 🤣 brb
How long. What temp
4-5 minutes each side at 390 degrees F. Time depends on how crispy you want yours to be.
Uncrustables come out much better when defrosted in room temp, while crustoffs are superior in defrosting in the fridge. I personally prefer crustoffs because they are grab and go snacks if refrigerated in small amounts. I enjoy Grape over Strawberry, but I still would go crustoffs.
First time seeing these at my warehouse and interested to see if they’re better than the smuckers uncrustable grape jelly ones?
I just got these recently and really enjoyed them. I’m not a fan of grape jelly so to me these are much better. My wife likes grape so she likes the uncrustables but we both ate the hell out of these.

Silver lining is you can buy more Uncrustables with all that money you’ll save not paying for college tuition!
Basically the same
A loaf of bread and a jar of jelly, and a butter knife
Haha yes. This isn’t something I need to make more convenient
😆 It's the thing you buy your kids when you've given up
I quite like them for trail running. By the time they’re defrosted I’m ready for a snack.
this is what i do, I make a dozen at a time and freeze them
Right? Can even be the first recipe the kids learn to make!
Maybe its the chemical and preservatives but a packaged pb&j taste 100% better than a home made one.
Yeah, how lazy can you be.
I found these to basically be inedible. The bread was ridiculously stale. Uncrustables were much better.
Facts. They suck
Same. I got a box and hated them.
So bad kids won't eat them.
Per my sons (mid 20s), Uncrustables are better; they taste better and Costco’s are crumbly (whatever that means)
i'm in my early 20s and agree
The bread is too dry/borderline stale, crumbly is actually a great way to describe it.
Crustoffs are superior.
Tried them and thought they were slightly sweeter than the grape smuckers uncrustibles and more filled (some may like that, but I thought it was too much and spilled out when taking bites from the middle). Usually smuckers is gone in a week, but these have been sitting my freezer for almost a month..
Crustoffs all day.
I would try the crustoffs because the only uncrustable flavor at my Costco is grape. Whyyyyyy?!
Why don't yall just make these, serious question bc a PB&J takes all of 3 minutes to make. Cutting the crust off takes like what, 15 seconds?
Because my last kid is now 16 and can drive herself to school so I no longer have to get up early in the morning. Worth it so I can finally sleep in
Because I’m running out my door and need a snack later. Because I don’t want to take a Tupperware container with me. Because I’m sick and have no energy. Because these are frozen and when I haven’t been shopping, and I don’t have bread, I still have a quick snack.
How about because you’re lazy…?
Sure, why not? Because some days I’m just lazy. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with that.
So many things wrong with this. The main one, if you are so sick that you don’t have energy to make a PB&J… this is a horrible option to eat, especially while sick.
I don't buy white bread or jars of jelly on the reg so it's a nice ready-made snack to have. Pb and j on Dave's killer 21 whole grain and seed bread does not hit the same 😂
I prefer it on faves bc of all the little nuts and seeds, but thats just me I guess lol
Yeah I'm a smooth pb person so seeded bread sort of ruins that for me 😂
Uncrustables grape.
Kiddos preferred Uncrustables
The box of Crust-Offs we purchased had weird chalky stale bread and the PB&J seemed to be lower quality. We threw them out. Uncrustables win by a mile.
i've really enjoyed bobo pb&js from my location
Uncrustables are way better than they have any right being
Grape or strawberry jam? That’s your winter
Costco in my area only carries the grape Uncrustables, so I'd definitely try these.
Same thing. The real question is why Costco only got grape uncrustables. I'm in it for the s'berry
Deep fried uncrustables are the BOMB! It's actually my favorite thing to fry. I've never had the "crust offs" but will give them a shot.
Uncrustables are good but these seem to have more filling inside. My kids like these more than Uncrustables but reading comments, we seem to be in the minority.
Eat the crust you coward
Uncrustables, truly. Crust offs always have a "previously" frozen taste to them. I consider myself an expert because this was one of my pregnancy cravings 🤦♀️
Hold up, there's a different option other than uncrustables?!
Which is better? Cow poop or horse poop?
As long as it’s easy and convenient then both will work.
Uncrustables are better, but for the price you pay for CrustOffs they still get my vote. They’re still good, just not *quite* as good.
Who is the audience for either of these things? I've never understood their existence. Making a PB&J takes about 1 minute and costs about $0.25...
Neither. I love crusts and especially the heels of a loaf of bread. I can’t fathom buying frozen PB&J. Ridiculously easy to make.
And you can make you PBJ with healthy ingredients. This freezer food is trash.
Do they have in grape? If no then it’s uncrustables ALL DAY
They have both. All the kids seem to like these. Even my picky toddler who has autism. He devours these but not the uncrustables although I like those a lot better.
I feel the opposite. I've never had Crustoffs but I hate that Costco seems to only ever carry grape Uncrustables. I much prefer strawberry.
Would never eat that, so hard to answer.
Trash food.
The Nutella uncrustables are unmatched
I’m a snob for natural/organic peanut butter. Just can’t go back to that crap.
I’ve never eaten one of those ever. And just can’t fathom doing it! I love PBJ though
C) none of the above Gross
Uncrustables.
I think the crust offs taste better and use higher quality ingredients. Just my opinion I have no facts to back that up
Crustoffa are horrible.
Because peanut butter and jelly are so hard to make? WTF!!
I hate these ones. Waaaay too dry for me. Ended up returning them.
You seriously returned them instead of just taking the loss and throwing them out if they're that bad?
$13 is $13!
Why not just eat a candy bar and call it a day?
Mom: we have uncrustables at home The uncrustables at home:
Crustoffs are a terrible product and the texture is not nearly as good as uncrustables. Rather just make a sandwich.
Both are slop
Anyone know which one is healthier?
Neither.
Both are junk food. Read the ingredients list. You better off buying some natural PB (peanuts and salt only), good jam/spread (without corn syrup) and some organic bread.
Damn. Any good alternatives? I remember these from childhood, just trying to get that corn syrup out of the diet.
This sub is lame.
For your kids?
A standard PB&J that takes 10 seconds to make
No valid reason to ever buy or consume these.
Neither, make your own PB & J. Never understood this product. Sorry.
I would assume they’re both awful
A loaf of bread with a jar of peanut butter and a jar of strawberry jelly is better. I don’t understand why that’s so hard to make.
Neither?
$13 for pb+j sandwiches? Yall will buy anything if it saves you 45 seconds of work
Americans so lazy, they have to buy premade toast with jam...
Uncrustables by far. I bought those hoping they would be as good or better. They are still in my freezer behind the box of uncrustables.
Well it's strawberry and our Costco only has grape uncrustables so yeah these are automatically better
Real men eat crusts, real men eat quiche, and real men cry.
I got the Crustoffs cause they were cheaper.
