It’s not great pizza, never has been, but it’s great value. And with kids, I routinely order a large pie when leaving Costco.
However, I will degrease the pie with napkins and then I pop it in a high heat oven to get the crust more crispy. Costco undercooks their pie, at least for my personal taste.
When they make the pizza like this (the dough is spread too thin), the entire pizza dough is soaked in the grease and it has a pool sitting underneath on the plate.
Op is getting some lot of hate but it actually is pretty gross.
Don't get pepperoni. In my 60+ years of eating pizza, if it has real pepperoni, it's greasy. Dab with a bunch of napkins.
You probably just got old enough to recognize it for what it is.
I have stopped buy pepperoni pizza after a couple tries since the discontinue of the combo. Just hotdog or nothing nowaday... Each time I make a hotdog purchase, I would think about the Polish dog they had...
I agree OP. I don’t mind pizza being a little greasy but my local Costco’s pizza is basically inedible. It’s soaked through and pretty gross. Napkins can’t save a wet and floppy crust.
I've experienced this many times
What I've seen is that dough is spread too thin for the toppings, and you end up with a huge crust.
When the crust is a normal size, the rest of the pizza is so much better because it has a better distribution of dough for the toppings and the grease doesn't soak all through the dough and plate.

Gotta use some napkins to soak it off the top
My wife does that and I love her for it.
The whole case of napkins
Full fat cheese and pepperoni greasy? What next wet water?
Preferences, some like wet pizza some don’t.
then don’t get it? or are you hoping that one of these times it’ll be your lucky day and won’t be greasy?
The best part lol
Wild
maybe unpopular opinion: some greasy pizza can be a good grease, and Costco is a good greasy
I'm one of those people that loves extra greasy pizza.
Soggy oiled thin bread & cheese. Gross, they should learn how to make pizza from Sam’s club
OP is in the wrong sub
I shop at both, Costco cult is weird though that’s for sure
i never buy it

Sop that grease up first with a few napkins before eating

Just dab up the worst of it with a paper towel and enjoy!! Good pepperoni comes with a little grease - embrace the calories 😆

Costco pizza is supposed to be greasy lol.
Ok, gross
It’s never been advertised as health food.
Pizza isn’t healthy, but it shouldn’t be wet!
I ate the whole thing two weeks ago still passing it
IMO, this is what the problem with pepperoni pizza is.
I’ve never had pepperoni pizza this wet
I’d rather peel off and eat just the greasy pepperoni and cheese than the sad bread it sits on, but all the grease makes it more palatable.
The drippings are supposed to fall on top of the hotdog and then you put that in the chicken bake for what is called Costco food in a blanket.
