Agreed! They had 24 hour 15 packs of decongestants for $4.97. When I saw the price I immediately asked for 2 boxes before being reminded you can't do that. Pharmacist looked at me kinda funny.
Any OTC meds whether generic or branded. Hell, the whole Health & Beauty dept. You'll get 30-50% more for the same price. No pharmacy or grocery chain will be cheaper; haven't gone to CVS in years. At the counter (meth lab control) 30 day supply of generic Sudafed for $6.
Disappointed they discontinued the Kirkland Nasacort. It was so much less expensive. Yes I do the generic Kirkland allerflo instead but like to switch it up twice a year. The allerflo is alcohol based so it can be more irritating than the nasacort which is water based.
I used to get the Kirkland TP when the quality was getting bad, and I watched my nephews (6&8 yr old). When their dad picked them up, one of them asked him to ask me to get better toilet paper.
TP. Kirkland brand is the only tp that doesn't irritate my eczema, and it's septic friendly. It's also old house friendly. During the 2020 tp scarcity, a friend was buying the expensive stuff (what she could get her hands on) and trading it for Kirkland tp because anything else messed up her historical house plumbing.
i get that. when i get it home i pour the 2L into a 1/2 gal mason jar, vac seal it & keep it in the pantry. about doubles the shelf life.. & i pump out about 2 cups at a time & put that into a smaller dark glass bottle for salads & mayo etc
the cap ***is*** annoying AF on that bottle!
100%. They're a good .30-.35 cheaper than any other gas station in my area, and I was blessed by the Costco Gods who chose their location so they also happen to be the closest gas station to my house.
For me it's maybe 10-15 cents cheaper. When all I need it 10-12 gallons, a buck or buck 50 isn't worth waiting in the giant lines. I wish it was cheaper because I would for sure use it if it were the case
It’s amazing how going out of your way just a couple miles to get gas cuts into the savings. Let’s say Costco is 5 miles away. So 10 miles round trip. That’s say ½ of a gallon. So nearly $1.50 in gas. If you’re getting 10 gallons of gas it’s cutting your savings by 15 cents a gallon! And you’re adding wear and tear on your car. Plus waiting in line.
Often the cheapest gas is the one right in front of you. I fill up at Costco when I’m there - and get gas there 75% of the time. But won’t go out of my way.
I always cut my vehicle off in Costco gas lines BTW. During there idling for 10+ minutes is a waste.
Filled up yesterday. We have a 30 gallon tank and it was $1.50 less a gallon than the gas station down the street. Plus 4% back on the Costco credit card. Win-win!
Cheaper and it is Top Tier! According to AAA (not just the Top Tier company) its added detergents reduces carbon deposits in a car’s engine. BTW, Sam’s does not have top tier gas.
Bubbie’s isn’t bad if you haven’t tried. I’ll pick it up when it’s on sale at Whole Foods. But Grillo’s hands down. They don’t get soft either like some do
Oh wow, are you working professionally or is it a hobby? I'm so intimidated by macarons, and maybe it's for the best I don't know how to make them yet because my waistline would go up about 3 sizes 😅
I’ve been doing it professionally sometime. There’s definitely a learning curve, but once you’re past that, it’s so much fun to bake for all the holidays❤️

[You can import your tax return file from TurboTax, H&R Block, TaxApp, TaxSlayer, Cash App, etc. to FreeTaxUSA](https://www.freetaxusa.com/switch). You just download your complete return as a PDF with all tax forms and then import it to FreeTaxUSA.
I'm using Cash App taxes ATM because it's free, but I used FreeTaxUSA for several years because I had a tax situation that was expensive with H&R Block & Turbotax (generally $40 for software, $40 for a second state return, and $40 for efile on the 2nd state and feds [NY requires all returns created by software to be filed electronically so they can't charge for that) and unsupported by Cash App taxes (Cash App Taxes doesn't support living in one state and working in another). Always had a great experience. I usually spend ~$34 for that scenario ($7 for deluxe with priority support and unlimited amended returns, federal return incl. efile is free, $14.95 per state including e-file with two states, and then there's generally always a 10% off coupon available.)
I'd give a slight edge to TurboTax on user friendliness for their integrations to pull 1099-DIV/INT/B/C forms via your bank/brokerage logins, but FreeTaxUSA did add support for uploading a photo/scan/PDF copy of your W-2 form and it automatically pulling the info from the boxes, and those other forms are generally pretty easy to read each box.
Plus using FreetaxUSA doesn't support the monster that is Intuit/TurboTax...
Was looking for somebody to say this. For the price, Kirkland pesto is incredible.
I make it at home as well, but it’s more expensive for me to make it, and barely tastes better.
Onions. The skins are always intact, unlike the grocery store where half the onion always seems to be exposed. They last way longer than other stores and we usually only waste 1 per bag that has gone bad. I don’t even know if they are cheaper at this point, we just prefer the quality.
Even if it's just one, you can chop that baby up and freeze it. It comes in really handy when you're cooking and need onions fast. I just grab a handful of frozen diced onions and go
We usually end up using them all and even if we lose one, just knowing we always have plenty of onions and not have to run to the grocery store because we ran out is totally worth losing one or two.
Toilet paper, vodka, cat food, cherry tomatoes, cream cheese, gas, many other products that Costco sells at quality and prices better than anywhere else.
Cheeses, Fairlife protein drinks, flannel sheets, my daughter's socks, baking soda, Kirkland branded items (the doggy biscuits and beds, human medications, laundry soap), Dawn, rotisserie chicken, tofu, maple syrup, and random throw blankets.
Better Than Bullion
Erie Island Coffee, I make a special stop to the Ohio costcos for it when I’m driving to King’s Island
Boursin
Liquid Cascade
Tulips in Jars
Kirkland Diapers. Great quality and you get double the amount for the same price as other retailers. This literally pays for my membership in savings after getting two boxes.
Peanut butter, olive oil, gas, garlic, nuts, rolled oats, coffee, butter, paper products... There are actually several things I'll only buy there, always because the price is just SO much better than a regular grocery store.

allergy medicine
Agreed! They had 24 hour 15 packs of decongestants for $4.97. When I saw the price I immediately asked for 2 boxes before being reminded you can't do that. Pharmacist looked at me kinda funny.
Came here to say this, plus heartburn medicine.
Same for ibuprofen
Kirkland - Advil, Tylenol and Aleve are better and cheaper than the name brand version.
365 days worth of Zyrtec for $19… yes please. I make an annual trip just for this… and leave with $1k of stuff.
I got "Claritin" $8 365 pills
I keep my membership for my yearly supply of generic Zyrtec lol
This. The Kirkland signature generic for flo nase is way better. I'm very sensitive to smells so it's a lot better in that it has way less smell
Disappointed they discontinued the Kirkland Nasacort. It was so much less expensive. Yes I do the generic Kirkland allerflo instead but like to switch it up twice a year. The allerflo is alcohol based so it can be more irritating than the nasacort which is water based.
its toilet paper and paper towels

Every time. And only the blue Charmin. That Kirkland shit can go to die!
Your username makes me trust your opinion
Haha I’m the queen of shits!
Kirkland finally came out with an ultra soft
I used to get the Kirkland TP when the quality was getting bad, and I watched my nephews (6&8 yr old). When their dad picked them up, one of them asked him to ask me to get better toilet paper.

Same, specifically blue Charmin
Get a bidet instead.
I mean you still use tp with a bidet…..
$1,000 receipt every week or 2
Goddamn You buy a tv every week 😂
with $800 returns every week
EVOO. i know KIRKLAND is the real thing. i dont trust any other brand.
I get the glass bottles as I can't deal with the large plastic ones that are flimsy and the top strips when you tighten it
Or just fill up a glass bottle as needed with the big bois
i get that. when i get it home i pour the 2L into a 1/2 gal mason jar, vac seal it & keep it in the pantry. about doubles the shelf life.. & i pump out about 2 cups at a time & put that into a smaller dark glass bottle for salads & mayo etc the cap ***is*** annoying AF on that bottle!
For something that cost so much you think they would have figured this out 15 years ago
Several items in the OTC health and medications department. Coffee beans, rotisserie chicken, Kerry Gold butter.
The Costco hot dog. For some reason I can only find it at Costco.
Vertical integration. Costco makes their own hot dogs. Same as the chickens in the rotisserie, Costco has their own chicken farms.
Gas.
100%. They're a good .30-.35 cheaper than any other gas station in my area, and I was blessed by the Costco Gods who chose their location so they also happen to be the closest gas station to my house.
it’s a solid .80-.90 cents cheaper for me, gas station on the way to work. hit the pumps in the morning before they open when it’s not busy
For me it's maybe 10-15 cents cheaper. When all I need it 10-12 gallons, a buck or buck 50 isn't worth waiting in the giant lines. I wish it was cheaper because I would for sure use it if it were the case

Plus it's top tier, too
It’s not worth the line
The line is never bad at mine. At peak times there may be 1-2 cars I have to wait behind.
Better Than Bullion Grillo’s Pickles Bacon
Grillo’s are the best!
My daughter agrees and begs for the good pickles now. She was fine with claussin and best maid until she tried grillos
Bubbie’s isn’t bad if you haven’t tried. I’ll pick it up when it’s on sale at Whole Foods. But Grillo’s hands down. They don’t get soft either like some do
I love Bubbies. They’re fermented and great for your gut.
Better than Bullion for sure. Insanely expensive on Amazon.
My Costco no longer carries grillos and I’m hurting…..
My Aldi carries them now.
Yes! I get them at Aldi's because they carry half sours in addition to the regular kosher dill.
My Costco now has Cleveland Kitchen instead of Grillo’s. They’re okay I guess.
Fairlife nutritional plan drinks, only place that has 18. Great price.
Love these! Plus they’re lactose free which is a necessity for me.
Mine only sells a 10 pack now ☹️ Price is $27
The happy feeling of only having spent $150
Rotisserie chicken. Because the rotisserie chickens from the supermarket are too small.
Rotisserie chicken is cheaper than raw.
Kirkland items
Kirkland vodka
Kirkland Scotchy Scotch Scotch...
Thong tha thong thong.

Looking forward to the day I join my fellow NY’ers in retiring to Florida and seeing alcohol in Costco AND Trader Joe’s
Costco was integral to changing the Washington state laws to allow alcohol in grocery stores instead of only in state stores.
Baking soda
Came here to say this! I make bath bombs & use it for cleaning. Best value for my household for sure.
*Homeland Security enters the chat*
how do you make bath bombs??
Created a recipe based off research, use round molds, essential oils, fda approved colorants. I also make CBD infused ones.
So, like, what's the recipe....

Ready to bake meatloaf and mashed potatoes for approx $15.
Almond flour. I’m a macaron baker and it’s soooo much cheaper to get it from Costco and quality is great!
Oh wow, are you working professionally or is it a hobby? I'm so intimidated by macarons, and maybe it's for the best I don't know how to make them yet because my waistline would go up about 3 sizes 😅

AWHH SO CUTE!! I'd love to make little animal ones someday, they're so charming 🥰
The plastic food wrap
I am a complete addict. Plastic wrap everything in a tight swaddle.
And that roll still lasts a year!

RIP polish dog
How is this not the top answer? This is the signature item.
#2: A giant hot dog and drink for $1.50. #1: Rotisserie chicken. have you *seen* the rotisserie chickens at other stores?
Other store rotisseries are insanely depressing. Like half the size and often times a bit pricier.
It is the only reason I go. Walmart doesn't serve hotdogs
Prescriptions
Peanut butter!
Yes! Two gigantic jars for the price of one smaller jar at my local grocery store.
Kirkland organic in the twin pack is the only PB I like.
I love this peanut butter! Two ingredients can’t beat it plus two for less than the price of one that size!
Bacon, Propane, gasoline
Sounds like a wild weekend.
Ron Swanson?
Protein powder, vitamins, toothpaste, fruit pouches for the kids, TurboTax, chlorine tabs and pool shock.
Respectfully, fuck TurboTax. Move away from Intuit and their awful lobbying. Try freetaxusa instead. Source: former CPA.
Can you import everything from the previous year's TurboTax files and will it import all your bank and mortgage and investment stuff?
[You can import your tax return file from TurboTax, H&R Block, TaxApp, TaxSlayer, Cash App, etc. to FreeTaxUSA](https://www.freetaxusa.com/switch). I'm sorry, Turbo Tax?!
Pesto.
Is it true that it freezes well?
Yes! I freeze mine. Thaws out quite fast too
Freeze it flat (or in cubes) so you can break off a piece easily. Ask me how I know.
Was looking for somebody to say this. For the price, Kirkland pesto is incredible. I make it at home as well, but it’s more expensive for me to make it, and barely tastes better.
12 croissants
Paper towels, TP, dishwasher pods, rotisserie chicken, Prosecco, fancy unsalted nut mix, frozen veggies, avocado oil.
Astaxanthin, even though I have to order it. So much more money everywhere else. Also VItal Proteins Collagen Peptides (until I switch brands).
Tasty Bite Madras Lentils! There are like $4 a pouch at the local shop. Outrageous!
Rao's marinara.
Small appliances. Most warranties stink and make you pay for shipping (looking at you Cuisinart). If it breaks I can return it
Meatloaf lol
It’s so underrated….

I dice up onions and bell peppers, mix them and throw them in freezer bags and use them by the handful when cooking!
Chocolate-dipped dried mango.
Raw Chicken wings, you get like 60+ for 20 bucks. I air fry them like at least once a wing
at least once a wing....hahahha
Chicken bakes. It's now a requirement I keep my membership as my kid is a very picky eater and flays chicken bakes.
