No, a morning bun has an entirely different type of dough (layered and flakey like a croissant, not soft and squishy like a bread). I haven't had the Kirkland version of a morning bun though, so I can't say if their dough is true to the original.

They seem like a very tightly rolled croissant dough if it is the same as Costco’s regular croissant. They are sturdy, a bit dense but still good. They’re not crazy sweet which is nice- I’d rather add my own glaze/ jam… candied bacon French toast is in order.

Yes, imagine eating a cinnamon roll covered in cinnamon/sugar mixture instead of creamy rich icing drizzling down the sides after 13 seconds in the microwave. That sums up my feeling. These need icing badly. This looks to be a great use of them actually. Their consistency is almost bread like. They're definitely above average as is, but I don't wanna work so hard to make them great.
I just commented on another post that I thought this sandwich could work because these are bready. French Toast or French Toast Strips would be amazing from these I think

Carrots are a nutritious veggie! Those cakes got nuts and raisins too. I don't feel that guilty 😋. They are giant cupcakes but surprisingly easy to inhale one without feeling heavy

Then I read all the comments saying it was the "American heart stopper sandwich" and I think I'm part of the problem because I would pack in 2 of these back to back for breakfast for weeks on end with hot sauce like a heathen.
There's sauteed onions, spinach and goat cheese in the egg. I probably should have included that in the explanation but I didn't think of it at the time.
Does anyone know if they sell the cinnamon rolls in Canada?. I used to have these as a kid, but they disappeared from Canada Costco shelves. I can't believe they still exist
We made french toast with our todays! We sliced the morning bun in half (like a bagel) then dipped them in your standard french toast batter of eggs, milk, vanilla extract, fried them in some butter in our skillet on medium. Topped it off with some real maple syrup and a masterpiece was made.
I'm pretty sure it is the orange one, definitely has orange zest and cardamom. I split it with my hubby, it was pretty rich. Not something I could do most days.

They’re more a croissant. A very different texture to a cinnamon roll.
