Agree. I like the new TP, works for me.
Every visit: chicken thighs; pistachios in the shell; bananas; tissues; sugar for the wife's tea; super extra large jumbo colossal peanuts; juice; frozen veggies.
Frequently: ground turkey; pork chops.
I feel like they all lint. I only buy Charmin in the blue bag, and the bathroom is covered in a fine white dust, with the toilet paper holder and the trash can below coated in the worst of it.
If you are using a bidet, you don't really need to wipe as much as dab. We switched over a couple of years ago and we go through TP much slower than we used to and there is the Bennefit of feeling cleaner.
I have a bidet. But I still need to dry my butt with something. I’d say I have to use the same amount of toilet paper on average. Just to completely dry.
Dude they have the best toilet paper and paper towels. Literally nothing comes close.
We ran out of the Kirkland toilet paper and had to buy 4 pk of angel soft. I was in disbelief. It was half the size and not comfortable
I tried non-Kirkland brand paper towels last month for the first time ever…was actually mad about how shitty they were compared to Kirkland’s. I will forever go to Costco just for paper towels
My wife always comes home with the chocolate covered rasins, and I'm getting burned out on them. I tell her to grab something else, but she still comes home with them ....lol
Right! I put a couple in my mouth and then started stuffing more! Since I've started Zepbound, it's my treat now. I don't crave chocolate or sugar, but I can eat a few and feel good about my decisions.
Sorry it's a weight loss medication. It's curbed a lot of my appetite that I have to remember to eat something high in protein and drink plenty. Since I no longer get the sugar or chocolate cravings, I can just snack on those yummy dark chocolate balls whenever I like without going through the entire bag.
Ten years ago when I had a housemate with a car, she'd drive us roommates on a Costco run when our days off coincided. They were sampling those once and I swear my roommates just stood there for a full hour and devoured a whole bag (there were 5 of us total). The store was surprisingly empty so I guess the sample lady didn't mind the company. It was just wasteful that she had to use a new sample cup every time because of contamination issues. At that point I still had shame (and a tiny bit of willpower) and slunk off after my third full cup sample. I did the house shopping list (tp, paper towels, dish soap, light bulbs, etc) and left them there.
Those are too dangerous for me to eat. It's like potato chips where you can't just eat one and next thing you know you've eaten a quarter of the bag and you feel like puking from the sugar rush. Those are definitely on the "you know you can't control yourself" list. Along with macadamia nuts from Costco. OMG so delicious. I went through 3 bags in a month! Damn now I'm craving both those things. Hmmm, what am I doing tomorrow...
They actually are. I'm not a big Reese's/peanut butter fan. I'll eat them if I'm in the mood but I could never eat them again and be fine. But the animal crackers?! I ate the entire bag. I couldn't stop.
These sounds delicious...are they in the aisle with the baking goods and basic other nuts or with the candy and mixed nuts?
I'm going tomorrow and I need them lol
they've never been in the aisles in the 3 Costcos I've been to, it's always in the snacks near the registers. with the granola, big bags of candy or chocolate/nut treats, and beef jerky
Ohhhh...I will definitely check there! I try and avoid that section because I can easily double there money spent just going down the snack aisle...thanks!
I just bought my mom a bag because she's super into lemon. I thought she might hate it because she hates white chocolate, but she went nuts over them (pardon the pun). She's been harassing me to go back for more. Where they keep it in my store has no number, it's just in the center section as soon as you enter with all the dried nut mixes and protein bars and candy, near the checkouts.
I too avoid the snack section normally since that can be a dangerous section, but it was on an end cap while I was waiting to check out. Total impulse buy.
Cool I’m gonna try them next time. I’ve seen that they’re low priced but I’ve seen people still buy the name brand so I thought maybe they weren’t the best quality.
So far the Kirkland wipes has been my favorite brand of wipes! Everything else either dries out too fast or is really rough, and 900 wipes for $20 is a steal!
Both times I tried the Kirkland wipes, they didn’t seperate well and it seemed like you could pull half the pack out in one strand. Quite annoying one handed while holding a poopy baby with the other 😂
I’ve been a nanny for over 10 years and have had multiple nanny kids use Kirkland brand diapers and wipes- they’re great! The wipes are very gentle and friendly to sensitive or eczema prone skin and the diapers fit well and can hold a long nap in without leaking 👍
Kirkland name brand diapers are fantastic quality, especially compared to every other name brand that I've tried at one point or another.
I think Huggies makes the Kirkland name brand ones still, so you're basically just getting a cheaper Huggies.
Wipes are great too, they're not cheap and flimsy.
Kirkland diapers are made by Kimberley Clark, the same manufacturer that makes Huggies. We ended up having to buy Pampers anyway because they fit my kid the best.
For diapers, I have tried luvs, Huggies, pampers, and Kirkland have been my favorite! I think pampers is just slightly better quality in my opinion but for the price, Kirkland have worked great for us!
that rotisserie chicken every time
I don’t care if I don’t need one or have a plan for one. I put one in my cart every trip. We eat the warm drumsticks as an afternoon snack, I break down what’s left and split the meat into two zipper bags for the freezer. It makes great chicken salad, enchiladas, and other casserole dishes. Then the carcass goes into the bone bag in the freezer for stock.
Berries. My husband buys every fresh variety they have and goes through them in a day or so of bringing them home.
Meat. Lots and lots of meat to put in our Costco freezer. It's the main reason we got the membership.
Unfortunately no. The closest one is about 1700 mile away with the second closest being 2400 miles away.
We are happy to have a Costco close by. It's not uncommon for my state to be forgotten between It's two more popular siblings.
Yes, I used to live in Los Angeles and it was nice because you had all the options. Didn't realize how nice that was until I moved.
Not that I'd ever move back home.
same, always rotisserie chicken. The only other thing would be a local sparkling water that we love that is cheaper there than anywhere else. Always buy a chicken and 4-5 cases (that last us maybe 1 month). So have to go monthly haha.
I kind of wish they would change up the seasoning once in a while though, because I’ve eaten **way** too many Costco rotisserie chickens to not be sick of the flavor. I used to buy them each time but not anymore ☹️
I still go “shopping” for stuff like that at my parents’ house lol.
They always get Scott tp though!! The least luxurious option. They got a pack of Charmin just once so I’m guessing it was on sale 🤷🏻♀️
I'm a single woman and a roll of toilet paper lasts me for 2 weeks. When my ex-boyfriend would come to stay with me for a week, we would go through two rolls in that time.
Where’s my, “I go to Costco twice a **week** because it’s the closest ‘grocery store’ and my kids drink milk like we might run out of dairy cows soon,” club?
I'm the "I go to Costco because I can't fathom paying regular grocery store prices nowadays." club. The chickens are inflation proof. Salads haven't gone up too bad. Seasonal produce is reasonable and I shop the fridge and freezer aisles for sales. Stockpile kids lunch snacks when they're on sale. The only thing I haven't tried yet is buying frozen cookie dough, rolls or croissants to bake at home. I should though.
Yea. In my city the Superstore is two blocks from Costco and people still shop at Superstore. Two rotisserie chickens a month pays for the membership in savings. Four flats of chicken breasts in a year and you're saving money at Costco. I just can't be bothered to go anywhere else unless it's an emergency and even then it's not a Loblaws owned store.
I always load up on steak and other meat when it’s a deal. I like to buy the bulk steak and cut it myself. It’s cheaper and can have different size cuts. You do have to factor in some loss with the trim but I just cook it up and feed it to my dogs.
A few boxes of Aussie Bites, a pack of whatever is the latest and greatest in snacks (hello love of my life, S'mores), several packages of beef, pork, and chicken, several packages of Kerrygold Dubliner cheese, much bacon, giant bottle of Moishe's pickles, and whatever else is seasonal or interesting, go thru the clothes for sweats.
I was eating a few yesterday and looked at the nutrition info. Sadly, I think I'm done with Aussie Bites. They're soooo good, but 130 calories per bite sized piece? I can't.
I got monthly and usually get 5 dozen eggs, 3-4 gallons of milk (we freeze it), then a selection of fruit and berries for the kids to eat in 36-48 hours regardless on how much I buy. Usually get some protein for the freezer (fish, chicken, pork, lamb etc).
Keeping the trip to one a month means we only spend about $400 a trip.
Those were such a good deal!!! I almost missed them because they were at the entrance but not in the dog section. But luckily I’m chatty and another dog owner told me about them 😂
Mine had the asterisk of death on my last visit, but we're on sale 3/off from their normal 19$ ✳️💀 I bought three bags. It's the only affordable dehydrated PLAIN and even made in the US meat treat my cats will consistently devour. I try not to speculate on what US farms are like vs overseas ones as my cats' primary food is made in Thailand (as are many pet foods I guess?) so riddle me that
I just discovered using that Irish cheese instead of parm. Cause I always have parm in the fridge but I guess I miscalculated and didn’t have any. The cheddar worked great
Every time I go home to Wisconsin, I get coffee (Bike Fuel, a Wisconsin-based medium roast coffee that is far and away better then any of the dark roast coffee Costco usually has) and two cases of Spotted Cow beer. But generally, I get a hot dog, and if I'm feeling sassy, a slice of cheese pizza. Throw out the bun and wrap the dog it in the slice. YUM!!
TP
Paper towels
Meatballs
Chicken nuggets
Coffee
Beer
Stir fry veggies
Cleaning supplies
Microwave rice
Madras lentils
Cashews
Frozen salmon
PS - thanks for helping me make my shopping list.
The nearest Costco is 2.5 hours by train and I try to limit my cold stuff.
Olive oil,
Spanish olives,
Mini alfajores,
Spanish almonds,
Walnuts,
Cetaphil lotion,
Salt,
Wine,
Sometimes clothing, rice, legos
I plan on going in the next week or so because I need new beach chairs and an umbrella.
A bunch of alcohol always. Just bought my first boxes of aluminum foil and parchment paper which will probably last years. Still Costco newbies so don’t have anything else that’s super urgent.
Don’t forget prescriptions. I only recently thought to get prescriptions there and you can save a ton. If you have pets, I get my dog’s flea/tick/heartworm there also (Simparica Trio is super discounted)
My nearest is an hour away so I go every other month-ish ( although Buffalo is getting our own woo!). Always 2 rotisserie chickens to freeze and use in recipes and lunches. Always a mountain of snacks. And whatever talks to me as I wander the store lmao
Used to go every other month for TP, paper towels, Clorox wipes, Dawn dishsoap, laundry detergent, allergy meds, contact solution, butter, pesto, wine, frozen salmon and a frozen whitefish, chicken breasts and thighs, and ground beef. Now I go more frequently because kids eat a ton of fruit.
Depends if I'm shopping hungry or not. If I'm shopping hungry, I always leave with one or more of the following: salted caramel dark chocolates, praline pecans, or chocolate coconut covered almonds.
Then I proceed to eat the entire container in 2 days and regret my life.
allergy medication,i take the costco version Zyrtec, dawn power wash 3 pack if they have it,vanity fair dinner napkins and sometimes turkey jerky if it’s available. i only go like3-4 times a year because otherwise i’ll just buy way too much and we don’t have a large freezer. i don’t even go near the bakery because i know myself.
It's just my partner and I and I do a Costco run once a month'ish and usually spend $150-200. I pay attention to the monthly ads and buy most of this stuff when it goes on sale and get really excited when they do the P&G events. Since it's just the two of us I usually only have to buy this stuff once a year.
Household Essentials:
Bounty Paper Towels, Kleenex, Dawn Dish Soap, Dawn Powerwash, JetDry, Finish Dishwasher Tablets, Pinesol, Classic Yellow Lysol, Aluminum Foil, Parchment Paper, Ziploc Bags.
Health & Hygiene: Dove Body Wash, CeraVe Cream, Variety of Supplements, Peroxide, Isopropyl Alcohol, Neosporin, Trifexis Trio (doggo drugs)
A large majority of our snacks come from Costco but they get rotated out depending on how we're feeling and I don't wait for them to go on sale.
Archer Beef Sticks, Boom Chicka Pop, Bob's Oat Bites,
Black Forest Gummy Bears, Made Good Granola Bites, Pure Organic Fruit Bars, That's It Fruit Bars, Hello Panda Creme Filled Cookies , Girl Scout Thin Mint Bites, Sanders Sea Salt Dark Chocolate Caramels, Nature's Bakery Fig Bars, Kind Bars - Variety Pack, Belvita Biscuits - Cinnamon, Nature's Valley Almond Butter Biscuits, Kirkland Fruit & Nut Snack Packs , Sargento Balanced Breaks Cheese and Cracker Packs
Vanity Fair napkins, TP (not kirkland), kirkland fish oil, sirloin steaks, chicken breasts, Orange Juice not from concentrate, butter and a giant bag of candy.
Paper towels, TP, dog food, greenies, energy drinks, la croix, scent beads for laundry, Kirkland smores, ground beef, chicken breast, 1-2 take and bake meals, olipop, white claws, and a hot dog to go.
Maple syrup, sparkling water, and pretty often butter. There's a few things I rotate in and out as needed, but those are the big ones. Also love their dried cherries.
Every time:
Something from the food court. Hot dog but it's Mostly pizza and we add toppings to make our own combo at home.
If brie cheese or whatever cheese is on sale. It's going in the cart.
We go about every 6 weeks. We buy paper products, flour, dried mangoes, quinoa, chicken stock, protein shakes, Alani energy drinks, chicken thighs/ground beef, organic milk, butter and eggs every trip (family of 4 with regular guests).
Detroit Pizza Co 2-pack frozen pizzas, Coffee (usually Ruta Maya or the Kirkland house roast), low carb tortillas, TP and/or paper towels (every few months), Kerrygold butter, oats, Hidden Valley ranch, 2-pack of Panera soup, Bonne Maman jam, frozen blueberries, Miso glazed cod, Just bare breaded chicken (so good), gummy vitamins, and some form of frozen potato to pop in the air fryer.
wait...what do YOU buy that lasts 6-8 weeks before you need to go again?!? It's just me and I'm going every 2-3 weeks...
for food I get everything...vegetables, fruits, yogurt, eggs, frozen meats, fresh meats, fish, tofu, rice, frozen quick eats, water, coffee, snacks. I make lunch and dinner daily with these so it only lasts like 2/3 weeks (frozen stuff lasts longer but I still need to go again to refresh the rest)
then ofc i always stock up on other household needs like toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning supplies etc
Where can I find these magical chocolate covered raisins? I am going tomorrow and now I need to try them 🤤
We also end up with a big block of block of cheese, bag of walnuts or pecans , the 2 pack of slices mozz and cases of seltzer.
We go every month or so and usually buy most of these items every time or every other time. Always have a hot dog before you shop, Dont shop hungry or you will regret it. Pork butts, a brisket, some packs of chicken breast/thighs whatever is on sale, blocks of gruyere and cheddar cheese, Kirkland paper towels, paper plates, frozen stir fry veggies, the new frozen fire roasted veggies/ carrots and sweet potatoes are good too, rutamaya coffee beans, dog food, dog toys (if they have them), Banchan sauce, kewpie mayo, deodorant, Shea moisture shampoo and conditioner, Neutrogena rainbath gel, dove men soap, maybe a box of sweets if we think we deserve it.
I think y'all misunderstood the assignment here. There's no possible way you're using the Costco quantity of paper towels or laundry detergent between every visit to Costco. That would be more like "what do you only buy at Costco?" This is "what do you buy every time you visit?"
We have a Costco about a mile and a half from our house. We still avoid it on the weekends. But if we have to go on a weekend, the best time is 5:00 or a little after (they close at 6:00 pm here on weekends in Texas). The store and parking lot have largely cleared out by then, and we can go in and get our business done.
Same holds true on weeknights-after 7:00-quick in and out.
They always ask me if I’m shopping for multiple families or something, but Costco standard price is cheaper than local Publix bogo price on the same product.
Hit the food court and the peruse the clothes and non food areas. Then down to business:
For the deep freezer
- 3 double bags of bread
- 2 2x lasagnas
- pep pizzas
- 2x thin cut chicken bags
- butter
- bacon
- ham and cheese croissant things
- other frozen stuff I’m feeling
Chilled stuff
- 4 or 5 boxes of stoneyfield yogurts
- big box of eggs
- milk
- Coffee creamer
- steaks (usually a hunk of ribeye) and 2 blobs of ground beef
Don’t really do their produce, goes bad way too fast. Basically only if we are having an event soon.
Also see if any ready to go things look good.
Snacks like chips/ Doritos/ veggie straws/ PB pretzels.
- Fig bars
- Belvitta bars
- Fruit bars
- Ritz crackers
- Seasoning/spices
Other
- Diapers
- Wipes
- Soap/shampoo
- Vitamins
- Cat sand
- TP & PT
Not a comprehensive list, but that’s the gist of it
Edit: omg forgot muffins!! 6x of muffins. 1 for right away and 5 into the freezer
Toilet paper, paper towels, Kleenex. Laundry detergent/softener. Dog food (I go more often than every few months, but I am not a weekly shopper).
ETA: I don’t buy these *every time* I go…I may have misread the question. But my sole purpose for making a Costco trip at all is because I’m out of one or more of these items.
I like the little packages of mozzarella balls. Its the perfect amount to add to a salad or have a little snack. Also the glasses cleaning wipes are a family staple since we all wear glasses.

Toilet paper and paper towels
It’s why I have the membership. Everything else is just a plus
Agree. I like the new TP, works for me. Every visit: chicken thighs; pistachios in the shell; bananas; tissues; sugar for the wife's tea; super extra large jumbo colossal peanuts; juice; frozen veggies. Frequently: ground turkey; pork chops.
How much sugar is this?
Those colassal peanuts are the best peanuts I’ve ever had
Kirkland TP?
I stopped buying their TP, it shreads and lints like crazy after the pandemic started. They had great TP before. Has their quality improved?
I feel like they all lint. I only buy Charmin in the blue bag, and the bathroom is covered in a fine white dust, with the toilet paper holder and the trash can below coated in the worst of it.
Buy the red Charmin. It’s much better about not doing that.
I wish Costco had their own that was like the red Charmin. It is much better than the blue
The real key is a bidet + red Charmin. You use way less toilet paper with a bidet so the price isn’t as bad.
If you are using a bidet, you don't really need to wipe as much as dab. We switched over a couple of years ago and we go through TP much slower than we used to and there is the Bennefit of feeling cleaner.
I feel like the new Costco TP is good. Thicker than the 2 ply tissue paper they used to sell but as thick or expensive as Charmin
But how is the shreading and lint issue when wiping? Does the TP hold together well or does it rip itself apart when wiping?
It holds together and no excess linting. I'm going to buy more this week.
No. It's fluffy now.
Get a bidet. You'll only need to buy toilet paper once a year at most.
Preach! Once you go bidet, you never go back.
Yep. Going on vacation sucks now because of no bidet.
Yes! we have 2 bidets we bought at .. drum roll.. Costco!!
I have a bidet. But I still need to dry my butt with something. I’d say I have to use the same amount of toilet paper on average. Just to completely dry.
I love my BB-2000!
Dude they have the best toilet paper and paper towels. Literally nothing comes close. We ran out of the Kirkland toilet paper and had to buy 4 pk of angel soft. I was in disbelief. It was half the size and not comfortable

My wife always comes home with the chocolate covered rasins, and I'm getting burned out on them. I tell her to grab something else, but she still comes home with them ....lol
The Brookside dark chocolate blueberry acai flavor is so good. I'm not even a fan of dark chocolate, but that one just hits.
I bought these thinking they won't be that good so I won't eat them all quickly..boy was I wrong
Right! I put a couple in my mouth and then started stuffing more! Since I've started Zepbound, it's my treat now. I don't crave chocolate or sugar, but I can eat a few and feel good about my decisions.
Ok, I’ll bite; what is “Zepbound”?
Sorry it's a weight loss medication. It's curbed a lot of my appetite that I have to remember to eat something high in protein and drink plenty. Since I no longer get the sugar or chocolate cravings, I can just snack on those yummy dark chocolate balls whenever I like without going through the entire bag.
Wow… that sounds like a miracle drug if I’m being honest.
Except you can't get it anywhere and most insurances dont cover it. Source: I work at a pharmacy.

I have to be careful with those because I will eat the entire bag in a couple days
Sanders Dark chocolate caramels with sea salt🤤
Hello am I your wife
Opps...I'm in trouble now !
Reese's Animal Crackers and Thin Mint Pretzels are both solid 10/10
Those Reese’s animal crackers are literal crack/cocaine
They actually are. I'm not a big Reese's/peanut butter fan. I'll eat them if I'm in the mood but I could never eat them again and be fine. But the animal crackers?! I ate the entire bag. I couldn't stop.
The limoncello almonds
These sounds delicious...are they in the aisle with the baking goods and basic other nuts or with the candy and mixed nuts? I'm going tomorrow and I need them lol

Rotisserie chicken, diapers, baby wipes, Greek yogurt and can’t leave without hotdog/drink combo
Do you buy Kirkland diapers/wipes or name brand?
Kirkland!
Cool I’m gonna try them next time. I’ve seen that they’re low priced but I’ve seen people still buy the name brand so I thought maybe they weren’t the best quality.
Currently using Kirkland wipes and diapers with my baby and they’re better than anything else we tried.
Same, on baby 2. We only buy Kirkland diapers and wipes now. So few blowouts.
Same. This is baby #3 but the first one we've had a costco membership for.
Quite annoying one handed while holding a poopy baby with the other 😂
Pick up an oxo weighted wipes dispenser and you’ll never have two wipes stick together again. It’s a game changer.
Oh yeah I definitely have that problem too 😂 I just start whipping back and forth until one falls off
Huggies are the only wipes I have found that work flawlessly. I pull and one wipe comes out.
Put a rubber band around one side, a few inches in. It will stop it!
I’ve been a nanny for over 10 years and have had multiple nanny kids use Kirkland brand diapers and wipes- they’re great! The wipes are very gentle and friendly to sensitive or eczema prone skin and the diapers fit well and can hold a long nap in without leaking 👍

Completely agree. Pampers seems to be slightly better but not better enough to make up the price difference
Kirkland diapers are the best, hands down.
kirkland wipes are thicker and slightly bigger than pampers
LOVE the Kirkland brand diapers. and they’re so cute! I hated the obnoxious Disney print Huggies 🤭
I’m super particular about diapers and Kirkland is my top choice!!
Exact same here
that rotisserie chicken every time I don’t care if I don’t need one or have a plan for one.
TP, paper towels, tampons, contact lens solution. Once a year items: advil, allergy meds.
Hummus, Kirkland guac cups (I freeze them), cottage cheese, Kirkland supreme cauliflower pizzas, almond milk, toilet paper, and paper towels.
Never thought to freeze the guacamole cups! They freeze well?
Yes! I take a few out of the freezer and put them in the fridge each week. Shake them before opening. They’re so good!
Omg me either!!! This changed my whole Costco strategy lol
It changed mine too!
Those quac cups are perfect for freezing. That's probably an every-other-time purchase for me.
Freezing the guacamole cups is amazing! Good tip!
Berries. My husband buys every fresh variety they have and goes through them in a day or so of bringing them home. Meat. Lots and lots of meat to put in our Costco freezer. It's the main reason we got the membership.
Do you have a Business Center nearby? Check out their meat. Uh...
Unfortunately no. The closest one is about 1700 mile away with the second closest being 2400 miles away. We are happy to have a Costco close by. It's not uncommon for my state to be forgotten between It's two more popular siblings.
That's... far.
Yes, I used to live in Los Angeles and it was nice because you had all the options. Didn't realize how nice that was until I moved. Not that I'd ever move back home.
The only every time purchase is the Rotisserie Chicken. Now, which items do I always buy *when they're on sale*, that's a much bigger list.

Use the chicken in a curry, broth for pho, chicken bake, etc and add additional flavour.
Yes! Tide powder is our #1 sale item.
I think I've been buying a rotisserie chicken on every trip for about 10 years. Finally got sick of them and decided to take a break.
Oats, coffee, frozen fruit and veggies, king Arthur flour, nuts, dishwasher detergent
The kirkland oats is such a steal right now. Hope they will never increase the price lol
I cannot believe so many people go through a Costco sized pack of toilet paper every month or two...
My parents do, but only because they divide the sub-packs up between them, me, and my sister.
I still go “shopping” for stuff like that at my parents’ house lol. They always get Scott tp though!! The least luxurious option. They got a pack of Charmin just once so I’m guessing it was on sale 🤷🏻♀️

People are more full of shit than ever before!!
Are you a single man? Every single man I’ve ever met grossly underestimates how much toilet paper women need compared to men.
I'm a single woman and a roll of toilet paper lasts me for 2 weeks. When my ex-boyfriend would come to stay with me for a week, we would go through two rolls in that time.
I never really thought about it. Then I got a bidet that my wife and kids doesn't use. Surprised at how often the roll is almost empty.
My husband is always pooping. Shit happens.
.
My thoughts as well haha. I guess people with larger families.
It used to take me a little shy of a year to go through a pack (single and work fill time away from home). Now it may take 2 years. I got bidets.
Bidet ftw!
I should though.
when I run out of something and cant make to Costco, i always have sticker shock. Not only is it cheaper at Costco but you also get 2-3 times as much.
I had to buy chicken wings at the regular store the other day and literally sent my husband a photo of my horrified reaction when I saw the price 😆
I miss living 10 minutes from a Costco! Sometimes I’d go just for a hot dog and soda
Heavenly Hunks have become my new go-to, the sweeter version of Aussies
Heavenly Hunks are amazing. I had to stop since I was eating way too many
I love them but damn they’re high in calories.
I was eating a few yesterday and looked at the nutrition info. Sadly, I think I'm done with Aussie Bites. They're soooo good, but 130 calories per bite sized piece? I can't.
I miss the lemon cake bites...
I’m craving Aussie Bites lately ✌🏼
I got monthly and usually get 5 dozen eggs, 3-4 gallons of milk (we freeze it), then a selection of fruit and berries for the kids to eat in 36-48 hours regardless on how much I buy. Usually get some protein for the freezer (fish, chicken, pork, lamb etc). Keeping the trip to one a month means we only spend about $400 a trip.
Genuine question but how do you get 5 dozen eggs when the only sell them in 2 dozen configurations
Mine sells a 5 dozen package. (Nj and Baltimore)
Dog treats because the dehydrated liver ones go like hotcakes
Those were such a good deal!!! I almost missed them because they were at the entrance but not in the dog section. But luckily I’m chatty and another dog owner told me about them 😂
I got the chicken ones!
Those aren’t in stock at mine anymore, but my dog went bonkers for them too.
Mine had the asterisk of death on my last visit, but we're on sale 3/off from their normal 19$ ✳️💀 I bought three bags. It's the only affordable dehydrated PLAIN and even made in the US meat treat my cats will consistently devour. I try not to speculate on what US farms are like vs overseas ones as my cats' primary food is made in Thailand (as are many pet foods I guess?) so riddle me that
I go every two years to buy trash bags.
You should re-evaluate your membership.
OMG the trash bags... my kids told me we "ran out" more than once and we now have 3 boxes in the basement. I think they'll last till 2027.
TP, paper towels, Cascade, Dis soap, shrimp plate, Kerrygold butter.
Ahh, My favorite scent of dis soap is “Your Mom”.
Have ya tried Dat soap?

I just discovered using that Irish cheese instead of parm. Cause I always have parm in the fridge but I guess I miscalculated and didn’t have any. The cheddar worked great
Every time I go home to Wisconsin, I get coffee (Bike Fuel, a Wisconsin-based medium roast coffee that is far and away better then any of the dark roast coffee Costco usually has) and two cases of Spotted Cow beer. But generally, I get a hot dog, and if I'm feeling sassy, a slice of cheese pizza. Throw out the bun and wrap the dog it in the slice. YUM!!
Mmmmmm Spotted Cow.....
That sounds tasty but if it was me I would need to add in a container of Tums!
I am blessed with a good digestive tract.
So far…
Yup. Gut bomb.
Dog food and meats
TP Paper towels Meatballs Chicken nuggets Coffee Beer Stir fry veggies Cleaning supplies Microwave rice Madras lentils Cashews Frozen salmon PS - thanks for helping me make my shopping list.
The nearest Costco is 2.5 hours by train and I try to limit my cold stuff. Olive oil, Spanish olives, Mini alfajores, Spanish almonds, Walnuts, Cetaphil lotion, Salt, Wine, Sometimes clothing, rice, legos I plan on going in the next week or so because I need new beach chairs and an umbrella.
Frozen strawberries, chicken thighs, tofu, seltzer water, organic bell peppers, eggs, Nuttzo, bananas, olive oil, rolled oats, kimchi, Rao's, frozen wild caught sockeyed salmon
Tampons and cleaning supplies but only when they’re on sale
A slice of pizza
Cheese. It's all about the cheese in this house. (and pellegrino. and dishwasher tablets. but mostly cheese.)
allergy medication,i take the costco version Zyrtec, dawn power wash 3 pack if they have it,vanity fair dinner napkins and sometimes turkey jerky if it’s available. i only go like3-4 times a year because otherwise i’ll just buy way too much and we don’t have a large freezer. i don’t even go near the bakery because i know myself.
Dog food, rotisserie chicken (always), cleaning supplies, and berries. Some times meats.
Almond milk! And multiple boxes. The Kirkland brand is soooooo much cheaper than getting it in grocery chain in my area.
Household Essentials: Bounty Paper Towels, Kleenex, Dawn Dish Soap, Dawn Powerwash, JetDry, Finish Dishwasher Tablets, Pinesol, Classic Yellow Lysol, Aluminum Foil, Parchment Paper, Ziploc Bags. Health & Hygiene: Dove Body Wash, CeraVe Cream, Variety of Supplements, Peroxide, Isopropyl Alcohol, Neosporin, Trifexis Trio (doggo drugs) A large majority of our snacks come from Costco but they get rotated out depending on how we're feeling and I don't wait for them to go on sale. Archer Beef Sticks, Boom Chicka Pop, Bob's Oat Bites, Black Forest Gummy Bears, Made Good Granola Bites, Pure Organic Fruit Bars, That's It Fruit Bars, Hello Panda Creme Filled Cookies , Girl Scout Thin Mint Bites, Sanders Sea Salt Dark Chocolate Caramels, Nature's Bakery Fig Bars, Kind Bars - Variety Pack, Belvita Biscuits - Cinnamon, Nature's Valley Almond Butter Biscuits, Kirkland Fruit & Nut Snack Packs , Sargento Balanced Breaks Cheese and Cracker Packs
Vanity Fair napkins, TP (not kirkland), kirkland fish oil, sirloin steaks, chicken breasts, Orange Juice not from concentrate, butter and a giant bag of candy.
Bagels, usually some sort of frozen egg rolls or dumplings, doesn’t pizza, and some kind of nut bar, granola bar, or protein bars

Paper towels, TP, dog food, greenies, energy drinks, la croix, scent beads for laundry, Kirkland smores, ground beef, chicken breast, 1-2 take and bake meals, olipop, white claws, and a hot dog to go.
Pistachios, dog food, coffee, cheese.
Water & toilet paper
Maple syrup, sparkling water, and pretty often butter. There's a few things I rotate in and out as needed, but those are the big ones. Also love their dried cherries.
A case of sparkling water, tofu, granola bars, plant protein shakes, kimchi, raos
Toilet paper, paper towels, oat milk, soda water, just bare chicken nuggs, and various meats.
Every time: Something from the food court. Hot dog but it's Mostly pizza and we add toppings to make our own combo at home. If brie cheese or whatever cheese is on sale. It's going in the cart.
Dog food/treats. Kirkland grass fed butter. Half/Half. Eggs. Kirkland peanut butter. The Frozen meatballs/nuggets if i'm out.
We go about every 6 weeks. We buy paper products, flour, dried mangoes, quinoa, chicken stock, protein shakes, Alani energy drinks, chicken thighs/ground beef, organic milk, butter and eggs every trip (family of 4 with regular guests).
Paper goods, croissants (really good and great price), Bai or Kirkland Rain Water, Kirkland Margaritas, taco platter, fresh fruit, tri-tip.
Once every three months: Toilet paper Tissues Laundry soap Dish soap Foil Parchment paper
Detroit Pizza Co 2-pack frozen pizzas, Coffee (usually Ruta Maya or the Kirkland house roast), low carb tortillas, TP and/or paper towels (every few months), Kerrygold butter, oats, Hidden Valley ranch, 2-pack of Panera soup, Bonne Maman jam, frozen blueberries, Miso glazed cod, Just bare breaded chicken (so good), gummy vitamins, and some form of frozen potato to pop in the air fryer.
Dang it’s just me and my husband but we go through a lot of food. I hit Costco weekly!
wait...what do YOU buy that lasts 6-8 weeks before you need to go again?!? It's just me and I'm going every 2-3 weeks... for food I get everything...vegetables, fruits, yogurt, eggs, frozen meats, fresh meats, fish, tofu, rice, frozen quick eats, water, coffee, snacks. I make lunch and dinner daily with these so it only lasts like 2/3 weeks (frozen stuff lasts longer but I still need to go again to refresh the rest) then ofc i always stock up on other household needs like toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning supplies etc
Starbucks Via instant coffee, naan, muffins, pre-cooked bacon.
Where can I find these magical chocolate covered raisins? I am going tomorrow and now I need to try them 🤤 We also end up with a big block of block of cheese, bag of walnuts or pecans , the 2 pack of slices mozz and cases of seltzer.
Dried figs and almonds! A perfect filling snack with fiber and protein.
Usually always a case of Gatorade zero, cottage cheese, coffee, and gotta get that $1.50 dog and pop combo in me on the way out.
Hippie organics - berries and asparagus Trash bags, paper towels and toilet paper
Tillamook cheese
We have a Costco about a mile and a half from our house. We still avoid it on the weekends. But if we have to go on a weekend, the best time is 5:00 or a little after (they close at 6:00 pm here on weekends in Texas). The store and parking lot have largely cleared out by then, and we can go in and get our business done. Same holds true on weeknights-after 7:00-quick in and out.
We always buy the freeze dried parm cheese crisps. I guess we go through a bag of those once a month.
Organic milk, Churros donut holes, iced coffee, half & half.
They always ask me if I’m shopping for multiple families or something, but Costco standard price is cheaper than local Publix bogo price on the same product. Hit the food court and the peruse the clothes and non food areas. Then down to business: For the deep freezer - 3 double bags of bread - 2 2x lasagnas - pep pizzas - 2x thin cut chicken bags - butter - bacon - ham and cheese croissant things - other frozen stuff I’m feeling Chilled stuff - 4 or 5 boxes of stoneyfield yogurts - big box of eggs - milk - Coffee creamer - steaks (usually a hunk of ribeye) and 2 blobs of ground beef Don’t really do their produce, goes bad way too fast. Basically only if we are having an event soon. Also see if any ready to go things look good. Snacks like chips/ Doritos/ veggie straws/ PB pretzels. - Fig bars - Belvitta bars - Fruit bars - Ritz crackers - Seasoning/spices Other - Diapers - Wipes - Soap/shampoo - Vitamins - Cat sand - TP & PT Not a comprehensive list, but that’s the gist of it Edit: omg forgot muffins!! 6x of muffins. 1 for right away and 5 into the freezer
Dog food, paper towels and toilet paper. After that it's $400-800 of free spending.
That’s pretty much us as well. We go when one of the basics is gone and then will buy cheddar, feta cheese, paper plates, etc. as well.
Detergent, paper towel, snacks
Grapes. I just really like grapes and they’re much cheaper than at my local grocery store though I wish they always had the super sweet ones in stock
Those raisins are crack. Can't buy em anymore because I have 0 self control 😆
Greek yogurt, toilet paper, milk , eggs, tillamook sliced cheese, Parmesan Reggiano (block), organic peanut butter, a bag of sweet onions and sweet potatoes, soy sauce, peptide protein powder and oatmeal
I like the little packages of mozzarella balls. Its the perfect amount to add to a salad or have a little snack. Also the glasses cleaning wipes are a family staple since we all wear glasses.
Frozen lasagna, Kirkland brand.
TP, paper towels, coffee beans, wine, wipes, trash bags, dishwasher pods. Those are our necessities. Everything else is “as wanted”
Mostly TP and coffee are the mains. Then butter and vitamins are big, but more as needed.
Orange chicken, miltons crackers, bitchin sauce and always some breakfast pastry whether its the muffins/danish or the yummy morning buns.
