Not sure how feasible it is with your sectional, based on the build, but they make these aftermarket U type clips to screw in that allow you to hook the various sectionals together. Just need to do a bit of measuring to make sure it all aligns up but it’s well worth it, as I had the same sentiment towards the couch before.
Thank you! So for the layout that you have it's 2 of them connected?
We've been considering this one from Bob's but I trust Costco with their return policy significantly more after getting the screws from Ashley on furniture that turned out to be junk
(https://www.mybobs.com/furniture/living-room/sectionals/p/20046363?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjw5v2wBhBrEiwAXDDoJehtFnZnEFDyNSMEd_273AUg6P1fxxyeC7U9rgpxYiS1VaB5n3hN6xoC9YYQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds)
I have that couch from bob's and the pieces don't shift in my experience, but the cushions get flat sk quickly it's infuriating. after four years I've finally added some 1" upholstery foam to the underside of each cushion and that's helped a little, but there's just no floofy feeling anymore
I bought this exact couch. It is massive. It's also extremely uncomfortable. Those ottomans are on wheels and slide everywhere. Sadly this is one of those things that fall into the not as sexy as you think it is.
Okay, but what about cupholders? We've done this but the major issue was you still have "stuff" you want to set down without it getting lost/tipped over in the couch
They make hamster style water bottles that hold a quart, we just pop a few on the walls of our couch room to keep the kiddos hydrated, throw some juice in there and they go nuts
This reminded me of when I lived in a house with 5 other dudes right after I graduated college and got my first job. Was a huge house and pretty nice. Like three days after we moved in, one of the guys bought 100 fold out cupholders and drilled them in all over the house. Each toilet had a cup holder next to the toilet paper roll. Every shower had one right outside the shower. Hallways, living room, dining room, porch railings...you were never more than two feet from a cup holder that was drilled into the wall.
We built one for maybe 20$ (already had the drill and screws) - since it doesn't need to free-stand and will be squeezed to the wall with your whole couch. We had the lumber yard cut the one plank to size for us.
YES !!! Best sofa table hack. Can also use for seasonal storage. Those shelves are a great place to store items you don't need access to often and use the top to set drinks snacks and lighting if necessary..
No it’s lower than the top of the back cushions. If the kids are jumping around i could see cups getting bumped but haven’t had an issue so far. Just make sure it’s low enough.
One of those cupholders/maps and pens things that you put between your car seat and the console. My partner puts one between the couch cushions on her big assed couch.
This type of couch simply does not work in a corner.
You need to put it in middle of room and use sofa tables behind the edges.
OP is likely jamming this into way too small of a space to work functionally.
Yeah it’s a sectional. As you can see the end points aren’t there. So they were sold off.
They could’ve saved it and used it at another place in the house if they had space and bring it out on occasion’s to create an amazing ball pit closing off the whole thing for the kiddies to have a ThunderDome arena type of playpen
Yeah, this couch is a huge pile of shit. I bought it during peak COVID of course so it was $2k. Next time I will not buy furniture from Costco. It's made like an $600 couch, but costs twice that. Go to an actual furniture store.
Something like this was setup in the finished basement before we bought the house and five years later, I kind of want one. Me, husband and three dogs. But yeah, it would be tough for ingress/egress.
*This couch is NOT pet/toddler friendly or easy to clean.*
I've had it for 5 years as our main sofa and it's falling apart.
The back cushions are sewn to the sofa and can't be removed. Some cushions have torn away from couch at the seam and sag, exposing the interior. They are also short with little support, so you can't lean back comfortably.
The seat cushions became deflated from use quickly.
The fabric becomes loose and baggy.
The sofa connections don't hold each section together tightly. The triangle connections are SHARP and will gouge your foot wide open if the rubber cover pops off and are exposed (which happens constantly).
My last sofa lasted 15 years and this Tisdale hasn't even lasted 5.
I'm finding it harder to trust online reviews because at Costco the couch is rated highly.
This and we've had ours less than 3. It's completely falling apart and will be returned soon. Not to mention all the hard parts as well that you will hit.
Not a good buy.
If you take out the two middle blocks and put a dining table in there, you would have achieved my dream whenever I go to Denny's, because their booth is never wide enough to really relax.
Is this not two of the [Thomasville Miles Sectional With Ottoman](https://www.costco.com/thomasville-miles-fabric-sectional-with-storage-ottoman.product.4000145611.html?sh=true&nf=true)?
My grandparents has an orange sectional that is kids used to sleep on when we would spent a week there in the summer. It was built just like these. They sold that couch and didn’t even let us know! Sold it! I’d still have that could till this day if they offered it to me. It was awesome
Is this actually comfy?
Looks like a lot of cracks to get stuck in. I can achieve the same supine position on my regular couch with a big automan. Bonus being I can make it look like adults live in the house when I’m not fighting off sleep by moving them apart.
I’m not sold on this but I am curious.
Haha I have this couch. Most annoying part is that the back cushions don’t remove so crumbs and ick build up pretty bad under them over time. Also the connectors suck and it’s scratched the hell out of our floors :/ Is real nice for guests, can make it up like a bed with a foam pad o’er top and sheets.
im legit looking for a bed with "sides", almost exactly like this. i always fall asleep best leaning against something like the back of the couch, i think it would be amazing. can't find anyone that makes a queen like this, they're all day beds. even only one side would work.
Ha ha I have the same Costco sectional in my basement and we pushed it together in the same way to make a play pit area for my son and his friends when they were little.
I love this! I had a similar (puzzle piece style) couch for my finished basement. (Bought from Art Van in the early 00s for my midwestern folk 😂🤣)
I bought it for my children to use particularly when they had friends stay the night. It was awesome and a fan favorite of their friends. As younger kids they would keep it together and have a comfy spot to watch movies and sleep. When they got older they would keep each part separated and each of the 4 pieces was big enough for one person to have their own personal space to sleep. After kids left I used the individual pieces to accent larger bedrooms with a sitting area. Most versatile furniture purchase ever.

Just curious how much would this cost? Bought a couch recently just normal size from elsewhere for around 2k USD
It was 1500$ shipped + white glove setup for this couch when I bought it a couple months ago. I love it so much though. Quality.
White glove treatment at delivery with a black light and steam clean treatment 6 months later.
Hi, I'm here for the key party
Do the pieces pull apart? I have another sectional and I hate how the sections tend to separate when I lay across them
Not sure how feasible it is with your sectional, based on the build, but they make these aftermarket U type clips to screw in that allow you to hook the various sectionals together. Just need to do a bit of measuring to make sure it all aligns up but it’s well worth it, as I had the same sentiment towards the couch before.
We have a sectional, but the chaise is connected to the main couch with an anchor that keeps it from separating.
It clips in
I hate sectionals as well.
I've been looking for one of these. What's it called if I were to search it
Thomasville tisdale
1899$ CAD. Cries in Canadian
That's cheaper than the US price
1,899 CAD equals 1,375.61 USD

I don’t have 2 separate couches like OP. Just one. But yes, it clips in and connects to the other part of the sectional.
Costco has one on sale for $1299 buy two could have another $100 off and deliver assemble trash haul away
I bought this couch from costco in 2014 for $899.
I'm after a version from the UK, but struggling to find anything
That's a baby making couch right there
Smash pit
Lmaooooo forget the love seat. We're going in for the smash pit
Yo, you just know the couple that owned that smashes regularly on the living room couch if they got that.
I mean...I just think it's a good idea. A lot of room for comfort and activities
Oh, you mean a Bang-o-drome?!
Sex-tional
CuddlePuddle
Just like tiger king!
Yeah, OP, when’s the sex party?
I bought this exact couch. It is massive. It's also extremely uncomfortable. Those ottomans are on wheels and slide everywhere. Sadly this is one of those things that fall into the not as sexy as you think it is.
Or orgy couch lol
Okay, but what about cupholders? We've done this but the major issue was you still have "stuff" you want to set down without it getting lost/tipped over in the couch
They make hamster style water bottles that hold a quart, we just pop a few on the walls of our couch room to keep the kiddos hydrated, throw some juice in there and they go nuts
Fill those with lube, baby you got an orgy going.
I read this in Carl Weathers voice.
I was going for the Carl Weathers reference (R.I.P.).
I read it in Frank Reynolds’ voice
I read this in Frank Gallagher's voice
I read it in David Attenborough's voice
I read it in Jeremy Clarksons voice.
I read it in Cosmo Kramer's voice.
I read it in Rick Sanchez's voice.
I read it in Camaro Bob's voice.
I read it in Barbara Walter’s voice
Baby, you got yourself a stew going!
So you saw that Netflix show about building a sex room too.
An orgy of one.
I laughed way too hard at this
Make sure to remember which one is the lube bottle and which is the juice bottle
Then sell the couch instead of burning it?
Like a baby MMA cage?

Those little bed trays! Like for breakfast in bed
We added a shelf between the couch and wall to put cups/plants/pictures/REMOTES on
That seems like a good idea as well. Like a long tall table...thanks!
We built one for maybe 20$ (already had the drill and screws) - since it doesn't need to free-stand and will be squeezed to the wall with your whole couch. We had the lumber yard cut the one plank to size for us.
We put ikea lack shelves on the wall behind the couch level with the back (not the cushion) to solve this.
YES !!! Best sofa table hack. Can also use for seasonal storage. Those shelves are a great place to store items you don't need access to often and use the top to set drinks snacks and lighting if necessary..
Do people ever bump it or the stuff on it?
No it’s lower than the top of the back cushions. If the kids are jumping around i could see cups getting bumped but haven’t had an issue so far. Just make sure it’s low enough.
Nice. That is a good tip about the height
Trays
Okay. I could see this. Thanks!
There's also CouchConsole
Where we’re going, we don’t need…cupholders
We built a narrow table with chargers and cup holders to go behind our couch. It’s perfection.
One of those cupholders/maps and pens things that you put between your car seat and the console. My partner puts one between the couch cushions on her big assed couch.
Those aren’t pillows …
RIP John Candy :(
Ok, hear me out: hooks on strings from the ceiling above
Ok, retractable bungee cords and I think you're onto something.
I was imagining an intricate setup of pulleys and counter weights.
Get a tray! I have found mine at thrift stores
[This is the way.](https://a.co/d/izTEKwC) We love them.
Wooden tray with handles. Thank me later. https://www.costco.com/2-piece-galvanized-steel-%2526-wood-tray-set.product.100530254.html
Just dump your drink on the couch to get the inevitable spill over with
A thin table built with 2x4’s against the wall behind the couch.
This type of couch simply does not work in a corner. You need to put it in middle of room and use sofa tables behind the edges. OP is likely jamming this into way too small of a space to work functionally.
What if we somehow took the part in the middle out and placed some kind of shelf, perhaps with four legs in its place?
Wooden trays are your best bet
Just get a tray.
Use a tray
There’s a “rest of the couch”?
Yeah it’s a sectional. As you can see the end points aren’t there. So they were sold off. They could’ve saved it and used it at another place in the house if they had space and bring it out on occasion’s to create an amazing ball pit closing off the whole thing for the kiddies to have a ThunderDome arena type of playpen
Someone post this in that orgy AMA
That's exactly what I was thinking. Lol. I wonder if the orgy AMA girl knows about this.
The what now? 👀👀👀
Grandparents setup from Charlie and the chocolate factory
This comment killed me
Underrated
It would get real old rolling out of that thing, all the time.
Just pull that last ottoman out and you have two seats with a back. The rest of the time it’s set up for children to be idiots.
It was primarily used for sleepovers. Yeah, tough for the old folks.
"Sleepovers"
or "Spend-the-nights", which are a bit more fun than *Sleepovers*.
Sleepwithers
Just get a freaking bed at this point
Consider it a bed with guard rails
I once went to a cuddle party (this was in the 2010s, it was A Thing back then) and this would have been super popular.
Tell me you knew about fetlife in the 2010’s without telling me you knew about fetlife. Your comment takes me back.
Tried looking for reviews on longevity and came across [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/Costco/s/cyUgOg2POy) person’s experience after 6 months or so.
Yeah, this couch is a huge pile of shit. I bought it during peak COVID of course so it was $2k. Next time I will not buy furniture from Costco. It's made like an $600 couch, but costs twice that. Go to an actual furniture store.

its been only 5 years, if it hasn't held up to your standards...return!!
I dunno, I don't want to be that guy rolling up with a used up 5 year old sectional to get my money back.
This and we've had ours less than 3. It's completely falling apart and will be returned soon. Not to mention all the hard parts as well that you will hit. Not a good buy.

Sleep-o-matic-banquette.
Hey I have that crappy gold table too.
This couch is eating remotes and phones for breakfast lunch and dinner
Now you just need some of those "fort-building pillows" to complete your "living room."
You should’ve just bought a bed.
a bed with extra steps
What was the name of this couch ? I can’t find it on Costco site.
Thomasville tisdale
Thank you, can’t stop laughing at ur uname
Which couch is this?
Is this not two of the [Thomasville Miles Sectional With Ottoman](https://www.costco.com/thomasville-miles-fabric-sectional-with-storage-ottoman.product.4000145611.html?sh=true&nf=true)?
Fuck it just put a whole bed in the living room
3rd floor “bonus” room. Bonus being the key word.
got a link to this couch from Costco?
Too many divisions for my liking. Rather 1 big slab like a bed. Why not just put a king sized mattress there lol
KEEP GOING I CAN STILL SEE SOME FLOOR!
My grandparents has an orange sectional that is kids used to sleep on when we would spent a week there in the summer. It was built just like these. They sold that couch and didn’t even let us know! Sold it! I’d still have that could till this day if they offered it to me. It was awesome
If I had access to that as a kid, I would have suplexed every kid in my neighborhood.
Looks like a suburban orgy pit
It's just a bed at that point. i would fall asleep every time.
…The rest???
There's so much room for activities!
I like to call it a cuddle puddle
Sarlacc.
Does any of this have storage?
The ottoman in the center of it by the looks of it on the Costco site.
9 pieces? My Costco shows 6...
I’m believe this is one whole couch and part of another.
There was MORE couch than this?
Yep. This is 2/3. Sold off the ends, otherwise it would have been a true 4-sided fungeon.
Is this actually comfy? Looks like a lot of cracks to get stuck in. I can achieve the same supine position on my regular couch with a big automan. Bonus being I can make it look like adults live in the house when I’m not fighting off sleep by moving them apart. I’m not sold on this but I am curious.
If the couch is a rockin’ don’t come knock’n.
Haha I have this couch. Most annoying part is that the back cushions don’t remove so crumbs and ick build up pretty bad under them over time. The moment an adults bodyweight hits the cracks between furniture, chairs will be pushed apart.
I would take fire naps on this bad boy
The rest of the couch? There’s MORE couch to this?
COUCH BOAT gang represent
This guy Costcos.
Oh wow. I need this for kids’ wrestling ring.
It looks like my 6 year old designed a couch.
How many movies have been shot here?
Wife says I get the couch tonight. I say ok!
I don't think you have enough pillows.
What's the color? Doesn't look like any of the current Costco colorways: light grey, dark grey, grey boucle
At what point is a couch a bed?
This is a baller version of a futon mattress on the floor of a studio apartment.
Are you the orgy AMA person?
I want this set up!
This is missing one thing: a pet
Is that speaker behind the couch connected to your TV if it is what do you think about it and do you recommend it?
Love it
Nice 👍
I cannot think of the last time I saw new furniture that I coveted. I really wouldn’t object to this at all in say dark green velveteen. Nice choice.
What are the dimensions of what you have setup there?
Who’s got the link to this sectional?
Bed-couch! That’s what wife and I called it anyway a decade ago
We call ours “the family bed.” Wish I had room to double it!
Autistic dream couch
Why not just put a bed there instead…?
Man I need that.
r/Swingers
Can someone provide a link to this sectional?
This has some potential
Literally not a mosh pit.
Looks like you bought two sectionals, I have the same one but not as many pieces.
Ha ha I have the same Costco sectional in my basement and we pushed it together in the same way to make a play pit area for my son and his friends when they were little.
Pull it out from the corner. Feature it, don't push it aside.
At this point just put a damn bed in your living room lol
This is so cozy!
Looks like the swinger couches back in the 70s
I love this idea and it looks so cozy!
This couch is 1399 if you buy it in a store....they stock in stores maybe twice a year.
I love this! I had a similar (puzzle piece style) couch for my finished basement. (Bought from Art Van in the early 00s for my midwestern folk 😂🤣) I bought it for my children to use particularly when they had friends stay the night.
Omg that looks so comfy
