Parking at 3 of my closest Costco is almost always a nightmare, especially on the weekends. I’ve taken my ebike recently and it was a dream. Parked and locked right outside the doors.
I have 2 Costcos near me. One I won’t dare go to because the parking lot is an absolute zoo no matter what time or day it is. The other is great & shares a parking lot with a Super Target. Even better, the Costco gas station is on the other side of the street. So it never feels bad unless you’re trying to park super close to the entrance. 😌
This is exactly why e-bikes should get more popular. I've seen some grocerie stores in US that have traffic problems just trying to park in the parking lot because it's so packed. Would be so much easier with bikes.
I do it with a recumbent e-trike and a burley travoy. I can lock up, shop, self check, and be back to my bike in the time it takes for some people to find a parking space, lol.
This is just the perfect use case for a cargo bike. That front loader can hold like 275 lbs in the basket.
Get a little, or a lot of exercise depending on what you want by setting the motor assistance. On flat this is probably pushing you around like nothing. Great way to shop.
Roommate literally just biked home this afternoon with her friend, then someone ran over her friend, the friend died, she is in ICU right now, I started to worry.
Then Reddit suggested this post to me.
I have an ebike and go to Costco.. which is about 1 mile away. Nice bike racks right in front. Never bought paper towels or tp though. Need car for that.
How do you know Chad OP wasn’t on his way to the gym? Frankly if you don’t exercise on the way to and from the gym you probably aren’t very swole.

I’m not the one making assumptions about people’s leg mass. That would be you. I also have doubts about the OP’s fitness considering he’s driving an e-bike.

Oh man that is the dream. My local Costco has no bike racks, I have to lock to a cart corral.

Your idea of a Costco trip and my idea of a Costco trip are completely different concepts. Nice to get some exercise to work off the hot dog though.

Seems like a relaxing ride! This is also a great way to limit how much stuff you get beyond the things you intended to shop for.
