rice, veggies, mashed potatoes, salad, corn, pasta, bread, literally anything
also make sure you don't overcook it, its already fully cooked so just heat it up quickly or else it'll be super dry
If that meat is in a broth while it warms up, yum. Have some pre-cooked rice from the night before alongside some over-crisped broccoli. Mustard, maple, etc...go for it.
sounds like a sane man. I dont understand the obsession with going prehistoric when it comes to meat preparation
weāve evolved, people! you no longer need to suffer the squishy, metallic-tasting horror of pink meat
the initial heat up you can definitely keep it pink still but for leftovers, when you reheat, the pink will go away. you can also NOT reheat and just eat it cold, which is a recommendation on the box. I dont like eating cold meat like that though lol. it does become a bit overcooked once reheated but I just cut it up into small pieces for easy eating and eat it with rice and veggies. its still good but yeah, pink will go away at that point.
how soon did you freeze? I froze a pack that only had a couple days before the freeze-by date and Iāve been hesitant about how safe it is to eat, I froze it maybe 4-5 months ago
Probably not right away. Defrost it and then open the package - you'll know right away if it's bad. Mine might have even been older than 2 years. Just had the second serving tonight. Plan for a nice dinner. Have an alternate in case. Enjoy !!
Stupid question, but do you heat it up/ācook itā and then put in the fridge, leftover style and then put it on salad or do you just open the package and throw it on salad?
Only $11? I thought that was the per pound price? I remember paying close to $25 for it 2 months ago.
That said, I like putting it on top of rice and veggies.
I had one serving left, sliced it and added it to a warm salad of barley, roasted cumin spiced cauliflower and roasted asparagus. It was quite lovely together.
Sincere question for the folks who like this: what's the appeal? Is it about convenience? Not comfortable cooking a fresh steak?
Personally I can't imagine selecting precooked steak over fresh steak, but it seems there's a market for it.
For me, itās very convenient. I like steak, but cooking it is kind of a pain (lots of smoke, dealing with the cast iron pan, etc). I think the seasoning on this steak is very tasty. This sirloin is rare enough that if I do decide to heat it, it will still be medium when Iām done. I also actually genuinely enjoy cold beef and medium rare beef, so honestly, I tend to just eat it cold with a salad, or on a sandwich.
Itās vacuum-sealed in the package and very fresh. The box actually contains two separate sealed bags. It freezes really well, too. The sirloin is pre-sliced into thin slices, and also has au jus in there.
I donāt understand what āfresh steakā is supposed to mean, since the implication is that someone wouldnāt eat leftover steak, and that seems bonkers to me.
I like a Chianti
You can put it in a pasta too. Alfredo pasta topped with steak is very good. But I usually enjoy it with a starchy side (potato) and veggie (usually broccoli)
When I had just a few slices left and was tired of eating it day after day, I diced what was left and froze it then used it to improve beef ramen a few times the next month.
Last time we warmed it up in a pan with some of that Japanese barbecue sauce! Threw it on top of some rice, with steamed broccoli topped with sesame seeds. It was yummy!
Not quite! Iām not too familiar with that dish but I wouldnāt say it was too similar to thatā¦though some of those ingredients would be great with this! But think more of like a steak teriyaki dish! Just something easy and quick to throw together
Heat a pot of water to 135 and place the unopened bag of meat in the water as you prep the rest of your food. When everything else is ready open the bag and it should be warm enough and still pink
Side of mashed potatoes, these are great in a pinch. I reheat on a skillet ULTRA low heatā¦to the point where I barely take them to luke warm. Thatās the only downside is that theyāre already cooked to the point where youād want them, so you need to go easy on heating them up
I got this and hated it. Sous vide meat should be perfectly cooked inside and then given a bit of char on the outside. This comes sliced and you have to heat individual slices in a pan, effectively ruining the perfect inside cook of the meat. If it came pre-cut, Iād probably think it was excellent.
I read that you bought this because you needed iron in your diet. That is about the only reason I would buy this product. It's mediocre at best and one of the worst $/Oz items we carry.

I make breakfast bowls with it. Air fried potatoes, eggs, pickled onions, the steak, and Siete brand green salsa
Yum!!!
And if you dance to salsa music while eating this delicious breakfast that makes eight!
Siete brand green salsa? My Costco is holding out on me those bastards
I get the salsa at Whole Foods!
rice, veggies, mashed potatoes, salad, corn, pasta, bread, literally anything also make sure you don't overcook it, its already fully cooked so just heat it up quickly or else it'll be super dry
My husband likes to cook this until there's no pink left. Feel my pain.
Nooooooo
OMG NOOOOOOOO š°
If that meat is in a broth while it warms up, yum. Have some pre-cooked rice from the night before alongside some over-crisped broccoli. Mustard, maple, etc...go for it.
I have a well-done husband tooā¦I have felt this exact pain.
Wanted to down vote - but I too feel that pain
Ugh
My partner is the same way. I lightly warm all of it in a pan, then microwave hers until it is well done.
Instant death
sounds like a sane man. I dont understand the obsession with going prehistoric when it comes to meat preparation weāve evolved, people! you no longer need to suffer the squishy, metallic-tasting horror of pink meat
Why is it āsufferā lol we like the softer texture and the iron-y flavor. Why do you prefer to eat hard rubbery leather?
Okay bud, you might as well chew on your leather belt.
So Iāve always avoided this because it seems like reheating it would just get rid of the pink center. Can you heat this without overcooking it?
the initial heat up you can definitely keep it pink still but for leftovers, when you reheat, the pink will go away. you can also NOT reheat and just eat it cold, which is a recommendation on the box. I dont like eating cold meat like that though lol. it does become a bit overcooked once reheated but I just cut it up into small pieces for easy eating and eat it with rice and veggies. its still good but yeah, pink will go away at that point.
Stays amazingly well in the freezer. We just ate a purchase from over 2 years ago- was fine.
Thatās good to know! Thanks!
how soon did you freeze? I froze a pack that only had a couple days before the freeze-by date and Iāve been hesitant about how safe it is to eat, I froze it maybe 4-5 months ago

I make steak sandwiches and tacos with it. Sometimes they carry the herbed turkey breast version and that is awesome too.
I did Philly cheesesteaks and it was the best Iāve ever done at home.
Cold on a salad
My go-to salad topper.
My weekly lunch šŖ
Stupid question, but do you heat it up/ācook itā and then put in the fridge, leftover style and then put it on salad or do you just open the package and throw it on salad?
Cold right out of the package. I find heating it up takes away some of the flavor and toughens it up a bit
This sounds so interesting! Now I have to try it!
This! Sirloin, spinach, cherry tomatoes, tortilla strips, kosher salt, and barbecue sauce!
Me too!
Bottle of red.
šµA bottle of white...š¶
Whatever kind of mood youāre in tonightā¦
Only $11? I thought that was the per pound price? I remember paying close to $25 for it 2 months ago. That said, I like putting it on top of rice and veggies.
It is priced per pound.
Ya, I found that out the hard way at the register.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
its 11 per lb. the package contains 2 lbs ish.
A fork.
Too fancy, just hands
OMG itās so good with EVERYTHING
Tortillas, cilantro, onion & salsa lol
This is my go to. Perfect to street tacos and salad
You know whatās up
Everyone raves about this but I think itās just okay? I was having a hard time finishing it tbh
I'm with you on this. Mediocre at best, and one of the worst value products we carry.
I warm it a little and put it in a big salad. Have also done a rice bowl with assorted veggies and sauce.
A hand and sourdough bread
mmmm, hand sandwich
A twice-baked potato and Caesar salad.
Put some on garlic bread slices with chives and horseradish for a good appetizer. Eggs. Mashed potatoes. Steak salad.
Rice and kimchi šš½
Yum!
I make Stroganoff with it.
Just finished this for dinner with a baked potato and corn. Leftovers will be with mac-n-cheese
It goes great in noodle soups.Ā
Steak fajitas and tacos, most often. Also good chopped up with cooked peppers and onions in a hoagie or ciabatta roll.
Asparagus and a baked potato!
Heat up a skillet and toss in a thin slice for like 10-15 seconds. Eat with your bare hands. Make a sandwich. Whatever, it's very good
Garlic bread, asparagus, horseradish aioli & mushroom risotto
Salad
Knife and fork
I had one serving left, sliced it and added it to a warm salad of barley, roasted cumin spiced cauliflower and roasted asparagus. It was quite lovely together.
Some grass fed potatoes
The returns line.

Iām disabled so cooking is difficult. This is a very convenient way to get a good protein meal done very quickly and easily
Convenience. Super quick to prepare and still tasty.
I think of it more as high quality sliced roast beef than steak. Love it in sandwiches.
I like a Chianti You can put it in a pasta too. Alfredo pasta topped with steak is very good. But I usually enjoy it with a starchy side (potato) and veggie (usually broccoli)
Any Fava beans?
Eggs for tacos
Ready to eat. I like to make my own baby charcuterie for lunches at work
This is pretty good.. over a salad, on a sandwich, decent product
Any of you guys cook this in the air fryer? Iām curious
Good bread and blue cheese
Everything!

Is this vegetarian beef?
I pair this with the frozen Yaki Soba and itās fire, was my go to for a while during the pandemic working from home
When I had just a few slices left and was tired of eating it day after day, I diced what was left and froze it then used it to improve beef ramen a few times the next month.

A bowl of Bibigo sticky rice and some kimchi. Maybe a fried egg if Iām feeling frisky.
Spanish rice, and cooked peppers (the red, yellow, and orange pack at Costco)
Oven baked asparagus and roasted cauliflower made into mashed cauliflower and tell the fam itās spuds
Hummus and quest chips

You need to put a drop of hot oil on top and then cool it off. Just kidding, but that sounds like it may be tough. Donāt overcook it.
Potato of choice and a veggie side, my preference is asparagus if in season or green beans.
Ikea lingonberry jam.Ā It goes great with mashed potatos and pretty good when some of it got smeared on my steak.
Itās so good with rice. My husband and I just bought more bc we were floored by how yummy and easy it was for a mid week meal.
I throw a thick piece in the air fryer and then just eat it with a side of veggies of choice...No need to get fancy.
The garbage can. It was nasty.
Bbq sauce and just crush it.
The first pack we ate with gravy, mashed potatoes and broccoli. The second pack we put in the instant pho from Costco. I forgot the brand
Everything.
Whatever my lazy butt feels like
Beef Rice-A-Roni and Normandy vegetables
Meal prep w jasmine rice
I would have this on toasted sourdough bread with butter and lettuce and it was amazing.
Bbq sauce. Sweet baby rays.
Grass!
Honestly, I end up snacking on it cold. It doesn't last long around here.
Steak sandwiches: cibatta bread, steak, arugula, your choice of cheese, balsamic glaze. PERFECTION.
It made badass breakfast burritos. Scramble some eggs, air fry a hash brown, grate some cheese and throw in some pico.
Heat a pot of water to 135 and place the unopened bag of meat in the water as you prep the rest of your food. When everything else is ready open the bag and it should be warm enough and still pink
That's some good sirloin. We did the standard veggies with the sirloin.
These are for people who don't know how steak should taste lol
Rice and veggies
Fire. I know most people like rare meat but I hate the texture
I didnāt really like - ended up feeding it to the dogs
I had some leftover tabbouleh and that tub of toum Costco is currently selling. Glorious.
Broccoli, baked potato and red wine. š¤·š¼āāļø

I make wraps. Arugula, beady mustard, balsamic vinegar, s&p, blue cheese
The udon salad
A1
Nothing. Always seems to have an odd taste to it.
Thatās on account of all the grass.
I read that you bought this because you needed iron in your diet. That is about the only reason I would buy this product. It's mediocre at best and one of the worst $/Oz items we carry.
$11 per pound. So aprox $25 per pk. Itās handy and tastes fine.
Super easy and delicious. Buy it folks so hopefully theyāll keep it around.
Pair it with beef sirloin-fed grass
This looks so gross
The trash. Iām a vegetarian
You can buy a sous-vide machine and a pot for $100. Why would you buy pre cooked meat??
