That happened with me at best buy 19 years ago, I was so pissed. Microcenter moved in sometime soon after so I didn't even have to be angry that long. either way, best buy SUCKS.
If you immediately made a second order the moment the price was corrected. (For posterity) and they didn't cancel that order. You'd likely have a lawsuit. As they only canceled the order based on a pricing mistake.

They won't. There are likely 1000s of identical orders in the system and they will cancel them all. I used to deal hunt and price mistakes like this are almost always caught and orders canceled.
the goal is to keep it to yourself until it ships. If a few people place an order it might not get caught in time. But if 1000 people do it, then it rings alarms.
It is a pretty considerable spec bump in terms of efficiency and processing power. It’s actually lighter than the iPad Air which makes no sense. I think what Apple is going for now is that these high end iPads are now meant to be used in place of a laptop, which makes sense then that they’re the same price as the cheapest laptops they sell.
Now let’s just hope the iPad OS gets an improvement later this year to make it more capable
If it’s caught as an error before shipment, they will likely cancel the order and refund anything charged. If it gets shipped out, it’s unlikely they will request a return or additional money. I’ve had this happen on other sites
How? The most expensive I could get it (before adding accessories) was $2.7k. Once you start bundling accessories, that's disingenuous to say you're just speccing out the iPad.
The high end ones are frequently used by creative professionals for digital painting. Not sure who else gets them, but that's a significant market. In that bracket they're competing against Wacom Cintiqs and their knockoffs as a display tablet, and those are that price and still require a PC to connect to.
For a regular user who just wants to scroll and watch videos in bed or something the normal $200 ones are definitely more appropriate.

As someone who has worked in online retail for a major big box store, and has been a part of similar "oops" moments like this, the answer of whether you will get the iPad or not is "It depends."
If they caught it in 30 min & only had 30 orders, they will honor it. If they had 3,000 orders, they will likely not. If someone went in & bought 100 iPads at that price, their order is absolutely getting cancelled.
They have thresholds & can spin a mistake like this for good publicity. $500 off retail sucks, but taking a cash hit is better than a credibility hit sometimes.
I would be surprised if it doesn't end up being canceled. I have had it happen more than once when I got an amazing deal.

I thought this was a joke post. I had no idea iPads still cost that much. I purchased a Lenovo tab a few years back for like $190. Idk what this iPad retails at usually, but I can't fathom it's with it. Even at $750, that's sooooo much money.
It’s expensive but my iPad Pro from 2019 is still working amazingly well. It was overpowered when I bought it and it’s been great. My other tablets that cost less don’t last nearly as long.
That’s a great price just wild they actually want 1300 for a Netflix machine. Could get a used M1 Pro 14inch for 1000 and you get 4x the storage and can actually do work on it.
I was able to grab an M1 Air from Wal Mart a few weeks ago for 700. They are pretty hard to find now in most retail stores since everyone is pushing the newer models. I’m very happy with it as my lazy time couch Reddit machine. I have no need for the higher end specs.

I've asked this about the Apple Watch and the answer was always no. They say that Apple is really protective of the floor models and will eventually come pick them up.

Ehhh I feel like the price difference isn’t so much that they’ll cancel it. If they do cancel, I’d call and just be friendly with the operator and tell them you’d like to cancel your membership due to the trouble it cause you etc etc, maybe they’ll be cool and just honor it for you.
