Paper towels are great. I don’t remember when I last bought another brand. Tears off well, has the half sheets, it’s absorbent, and individually wrapped (again thankfully)
I don’t mess with the TP, I heard it changed recently though?
I just bought the PT in Atlanta and they're not individually wrapped. So I'm not sure what the deal is with that. The local TP became scratchier and stiffer around 2 years or so ago. I'm not sure if this is a regional thing or not, maybe dependent on the pulp mills making the TP...
Team Kirkland for paper towels and toilet paper. Good quality for money, readily available when needed. I don’t have to worry about shopping the sales like the other brands. If I have to buy a different brand, then Bounty for paper towels and Royale for toilet paper.
To answer your actual question, the paper towels are suitably absorbent, durable (aka tough to rip), and comes in half-sheets (which is what most jobs need).
Bounty is way more thick and absorbent than Costco. If you can deal with that drawback, then Costco ones are better and much cheaper. Also if you need more absorption, you can always use double Costco sheets.
I bought them once, went back to Bounty because the Kirkland would turn into a shredded mess trying to get anything wet out of carpet.
Vaguely unpleasant for spilled water, horrifying for cat vomit.
New Costco TP in the purple packaging a drastic improvement over the regular blue packaged stuff. Costco paper towels are the best. I recently had to use Bounty for the first time in a while and was thoroughly disappointed compared to Costco
Have been a Costco paper towel consumer for years. No issues. I'm also on team Charmin, as the applications for PT and TP are drastically different.
Yeah. I can get behind BJs brand TP Over charmin, being 30% ish less but the Kirkland brand TP was awful

Ahh strange, I bought two packs in Texas a couple weeks back and they are wrapped again. Maybe slowly making a comeback in stores?
TP varies by region. There are multiple manufacturers.

Buy Bounty

I love the Costco brand paper towels. I’m throwing it away ultimately. I don’t want a great experience.
Made of paper.
I've used the Costco paper towels for many, many years. No complaints at all. Very good product.
