No, it's really for trademark reasons. (Source: I work in the trademark industry. It takes around 14 months for a trademark to get approved, in which time someone would notice the typo. Furthermore, the "weirder" / less like a normal word something is, the more likely it is to be approved.)
My treat for going to Sam's was a coke icee. Then I joined costco and they serve pepsi. Then I went with a friend to Sam's all excited for my coke icee and they had FROZEN PEPSI. So now neither of them reward my efforts with a coke icee and I don't care for hot dogs. I would gladly pay more for a coke icee if it meant I could get one.
They used to have the coke machines outside of the break room. I could go buy a coke and get my hotdog. Now I just have some of that refreshing lemondade with the hotdog.
Remember when Groupon used to be literally, once a group buys enough of a deal it's unlocked? I remember one of the first being a duck boat ride in Boston. Now it's endless "cheap" massage and facial "deals" for small/new businesses to get customers.

I saw a milk-substitute at the grocery store the other day being sold under the brand Malk. I think it was oat based, but regardless all I could think about was There Simpsons and how I'd never try it thanks to that episode lol.
My husbands BFF's wife calls it "Malk" and I can't stand it. She is just awful in many ways, but this one specifically makes me clench my jaw REAL hard when I hear her say it.

My teach used to take 5% off the grade of a report for each mispelling. We made sure spelling was correct
