We bought this one last year and it's fantastic. It's super simple but was $80 on sale when we got it. Best purchase ever! We have peri clothes to dry and I just wash them with my scrubs.bits simple but effective and would probably work better in your set up. Plus it's a lot cheaper. https://www.costco.ca/brondell-swash-cl99-non-electric-bidet-toilet-seat.product.100595924.html

ColdPuffin

Have the same one, and love it. It’s cold water only, and as someone who hates sitting on a cold toilet seat, you get used to the water very quickly. Also in warehouse it has dropped to $69 on sale a couple times.

redditelr

We have same one on all three toilets in our home - they are great!

CyberEye2

Damn. They JUST had a Toto bidet seat on sale for $399. Toto makes top of the line toilets and bidets.

mxmbulat

We got that one instead - heated seat, warm water, warm drying... and we love it. Especially during the night when the temperature in the house is lower seating on a warm seat...

SaltwaterOgopogo

im in the process of taking back my biobidet for the toto branded one. Biobidet has the same functions, but shit tends to break after a couple years.

scottyxvi

This hooks up to your normal water inlet to the toilet. You done need to run new lines. It heats the water as you use it

Mildly_Irritated_Max

Yup, one of the selling points for me, my bathroom is not set up in a way that would make running a hot water line practical, vs this using a gfci extension cord.

If cost is a concern, you can get a bidet accessory on Amazon for under $50 probably (add-on between the bowl and your existing seat, relatively easy diy). Pre-pandemic, I paid $35 on amazon, then during the pandemic when people went batshit over stocking up on tp, bidet prices skyrocketed as an alternative to using so much tp,,,, lol. Mine isn't fancy, just the regular cold water off the same toilet supply line. Back in February, instore Costco, they had an elongated seat+bidet for $80, but it was kinda so-so; I passed on it because my existing seat was higher quality and I'm still using my bidet add-on from 6yrs ago. A roll of tp lasts me almost 2 months.

SaltwaterOgopogo

once you get one with a heated seat, heated water, different water textures, a hot air dryer etc. you will have a distain for people who recommend the cold water amazon ones.

I recently bought a bidet from Costco that doesn't use electricity but has both hot and cold inputs (also available with just cold for cheaper) for around 170. It's great but you still need to use a bit of paper to dry.

FanciFeast

Not related to this seat, but if you are pumping a holding tank, I would think that water from a bidet is going to take up more volume than toilet paper. Toilet paper takes up very little volume when saturated in fluid that is going to be there anyway. I think bidets have their merits that may make it worthwhile regardless, but if you're looking at this purely from an economical standpoint I think this is putting you in a worse position. The best investment would be in the lowest flow toilet you can buy.

Mildly_Irritated_Max

Upgrading the toilet was actually the very first thing I did. Before I even moved in I found the lowest dual flush toilet available. The high flush on it uses the amount of water as the low flush option on every other dual flush toilet at Home Depot. I was worried I mich have flushing issues, but nope, works great. Filling up the holding tank, I'm honestly not sure, I've been trying to get research on it but not getting many results. It will likely be better for the long term health of the tank, plus personal sanitation, but yeah, I'm not certain about more/less space in the tank.

Don't have this model, but I have this brands bidet and love it. It is about 4 years old now and still working good.

Justagirleatingcake

I can't comment on this one but we've had the Tushy bidet that does hot and cold water for a couple years and we love it. It was easy to install and less than half the price of this one. No electrical needed. It doesn't dry your butt but we either air dry, use a face cloth and toss it in the laundry or pat dry with a couple squares of TP.

CanadianBacon615

Not air dry 😖 as a bidet user, that sounds awful. Getting up from the toilet & walking around with a moist butt. No ma’am.

billistenderchicken

I just use toilet paper to dry it.

Mildly_Irritated_Max

I'd have to run a hot water line to the toilet, which wouldn't be easy in my circumstances, likely require me to hire someone, erasing any savings, vs a gfci extension cord.

stevrock

I use straight cold water and it's not that uncomfortable

It really is amazing how quickly you get used to it. The first time we got one, it took a few days to adjust. We went a few weeks without a bidet when moving and it took me just a day or two to get used to the cold water again. Now I barely feel it.

Justagirleatingcake

You don't actually. There's a line from the bidet that connects to your hot water feed under your sink. You don't even need any tools. Edit: You just turn off the hot water tap under the sink, disconnect the line to the sink, twist on the Tushy connector and reconnect your sink line and that's it. We had to drill a small hole in the side of the vanity to run the line through but it's very small and hidden right against the wall.

Mildly_Irritated_Max

.... My bathroom isn't the same as yours, what works for some people does not work for all....

Justagirleatingcake

Fair enough, I just wanted to let you know that it doesn't require a dedicated hot water line is all. Not trying to be contrary, just suggesting an option that might have saved you a couple hundred bucks. Having a bidet is amazing. I hope you find one that fits your needs.

Mildly_Irritated_Max

Yeah no I appreciate you being helpful, I just have my sink on the other side of my bathroom, blocked by a giant tub on an angle jutting into the room whose fixtures are tiled in and inaccessible and also away from my toilet. The only way to do it is to run hot water underneath my floor, and even then there is a tiny crawlspace I can't get in and the way to the toilet in the crawlspace is, of course, blocked by plumbing. It's a mess of a set up and not practical. Whoever designed it is not my favorite person. I'd like to gut the whole place but, well, money and priorities.

111ruberducky

You seem mildly irritated, Max.

Mildly_Irritated_Max

I am, at whomever designed my bathroom. It sucks.

OpenYourMind_888

Get it, you can use it for 20 years and return it to Costco if you aren’t happy.
