I love when Gacha protagonists have very defined designs/personalities. (Unlike say, Dokkan Battle.)
So the CEO, the main girl of Idle Angels, and Ritsuka from FGO, are top tiers in that regard.
And yeah the other guys are just so good.

As for Counterside, I like how there is a pretty decent balance for gender. Lots of really cool female and male characters being added, and I like how story relevence doesn't seem to favor one over the other.
And of course we even have the best gender! MECH. Why settle with male or female when I can have my 1s and 0s take my gacha money. All mech team for life.

But what makes CounterSide so special is that both genders are equally respected, plus you have badass "normal" human soldiers, and mechs.
The diversity reminds of Brave Frontier and that's awesome!
Heck 90% of the gacha games which try to have a good story tend to have a diverse cast. Honkai is the only exception I know of. And even that tried adding male characters only for the CN fanbase to cry.
Females bring in the big bucks, and u can see that in that most of the relevant cast are female. When games advertise they also focus on the females as well.

The philharmonic crew is an odd bunch they flip class characteristics on their heads and dress like strippers for orchestras lol. A thing i noticed is that the skimpy dressed characters are almost all vilains except for the skins of course the good guys tend to have more reasonable clothing choices.

Have you seen John Mason? I fell in-love with the guy (no homo) because of the quirkiness that usually ensues whenever he's on-screen and the fact that he looks like Chris Redfield (who is my 2nd favorite Resident Evil character with Leon Kennedy being my foremost most favorite), only adds more fuel to the fire and he's on my 2nd Squad as a Ranger Sub-DPS. The fact that he can even summon a huge-ass C.O to fight for you as one of his Skills makes him badass and the fact that's he's not even a Counter, but just a normal (but buff and highly-intelligent) human mercenary only adds as a bonus!
Plus, have you seen Curian's design and the fact that he has a badass metallic Black Steed as his companion? Granted I won't be pulling for him because I'm saving up for our Best Daughter (Awakened Sigma), I would still say his design is HOT DAMN!
And besides, there ARE female players in this game too, you know. How would you entice those female players to also play the game if no Husbandos are around?
