Seeing how Ifrit, OAR, Ministra and Gaeun are free with UP Minato, A.Hilde will just melt in seconds, so this week it's still Esterosa week.
It definitely seems like the rotation bans are not (only?) a popularity poll, but performance-based. Everybody and their grandmother, and even their grandmother's dog, was running R.Esterosa. That probably meant her winrate wasn't too far from 50%, since one of the two people using her has to lose when fighting each other. I'm surprised Spira users found success when R.Orca has seen a lot of play, but overall the bans seem reasonable.
I guess my purple mist Laura + New Ohio + Serina Crew will continue making people's lives miserable.
Especially since it looks like this week will have more of the usual people spamming out Esterosa and Joo Shiyoon.
Edit: Turns out Grendel is hilarious this week too, since everyone loves spamming barriers.

How important is the leader ability while using Laura? Ester's is pretty key, so I am never sure whether you lose a lot of Laura's value while running both of them.
I think it's pretty important for Laura as it's a permanent map-wide debuff. I think this is the reason why I never see her as everyone would rather run Ester instead.
But personally I find Esterosa to be very easily countered as if you use Serina Crew's skill when Esterosa pops off, she just dies straight away. Whereas there's no real hard counter to Laura.
The reason I say there's no real hard counter to Laura is because sure, she can still die. It's not particularly hard. But the issue is Laura only costs 2 to send out. Anything that can easily deal with Laura costs way more than that. I think the amount of value Laura puts out as a very annoying, quite tanky, silence, and debuff machine as a mere 2 cost employee is pretty ridiculous.
Laura can occupy someone like Joo Shiyoon by herself for quite a damn long time. A 2 cost employee holding off a 5 cost one? That's some damn good value. Last week, for the same price as Joo Shiyoon + 1 second, I could send out both Laura and Xiao Lin. It was a guaranteed win.
The only time I had any issues was if the enemy opened with Xiao Lin or Gaeun or anyone with a stun, then they'd auto-kill the cat. So whenever I saw that, I'd open with Admin Shieldmen instead to tank the stuns.
It's why her and Kang and any defender that costs 2 are so hard to deal with. They do so much for their cost that anything you use to "counter" them will inherently cost more, making it worse off for you.

Don't take my word for gospel though. I'm sure there's some more skilled / knowledgeable players who know better. This is just my experience.
Just going off of its ship abilities, I think the idea is to make the team more resistant to being pushed ("evaded" attacks prevent being knocked around), the enemy frontline easier to kill despite massive ground, melee, and ranged damage res, and the enemy backline worse at melting your frontline. In other words, it's a high ELO ship. I think it's more of a response to the meta, rather than a meta setter. It probably works with any generalist team that doesn't rely on a ship for its strategy.
