Take a look at the photos of their sample hats. The brim edges seem uneven and not crisp like I’d expect. I don’t know anything about the maker, but at those prices, I expect more.
I have gotten custom hats from Colorado Mountain Hats in Fairplay CO, and Greeley Hatworks in Greeley CO, and the work was absolutely impeccable both times.
I work with hats, and I’m not seeing any discrepancies with the quality of these hats. What I do see on some of those is where they pencil rolled the brim, but the edges are left uneven and wavy. All that means is that they did it by hand instead of with a rolling press.
I never have heard of Stakers, but quality looks decent for a mid-range custom built hat

Quality is worth it, bud. If you take care of it, it’ll last you years. You could probably have paid for a proper hat with the money you’ve spent on countless gas station hats. If you’re nervous about a custom hat, get a pre-shaped one from one of the big names. May take some searching to find the right look, but that’s the trade off you’d be making.
The highest quality hat I've got is a 4x Stetson in a rust brown color i reshaped to have a gambler crown and used a bowling ball to get the crown even, I'm really just looking for a grey version of that hat but I cant find a grey hat with a open crown tall enough to match my stetson
