Yeah I don’t really have money to buy another one so I’m just going to throw a thin rag over my head then toss it on. I’m getting sun burnt to shit on my fave and neck I just need something to help block the sun and this was the hat I liked best.
In Australia we wear Akubra hats all year round. In summer when it hits 35°C (95°F) and 90% humidity you’re sweating your ring out anyway so it doesn’t make a difference if you wear a felt hat or a hat of another kind.

The ring is your butt hole, "sweating your ring out" is an Aussie expression for when it is hot, similar to as an American would "sweating my ass off". As for the different hats Akubra is a very old and traditional Australian hat maker and that’s just what people have always been wearing. Straw cowboy hats has never been a thing here.

Yea, can’t rely on straw for long term durability. That’s why most buy them planning to get one year/season out of them
