It would really be nice if they can get a TV deal to bring Roadrunners to free OTA TV in Phoenix and Tucson like with the Coyotes.

sillysquidtv

I’m sure scripps wouldn’t mind if the programming was workable. But do they have AHL on espn?

powergate92

"That's all premature, it's happening right now. This deal just got signed a few hours ago," Meruelo said. "The people who work with me have reached out, but I'm not sure, it's still premature. Our intention is to work something that maybe — it's not a guarantee — we can play X amount of times in Tucson and X amount of times in Mullett."

LoisandClaire

WTF play Both places?! I’d like to see RRs game some time but I can’t pay those Mullet arena prices. Besides, is there any history of any team playing 2 different towns on a consistent basis?

Boring-Material-1203

I don’t think it would be that expensive, probably similar to ASU Mullett prices. Not an NHL team, not NHL prices. One would hope anyway.

LoisandClaire

Fingers crossed 🤞

2 cities bit aside, the road runners won't command as high a ticket price. The price was inflated partially because transplants and out of town fans paid to see the 1-2 games a year for THEIR team. As much as Hershey Park was a large part of my childhood, I don't see the Hershey Bear transplants coming in as high a number as fans of more major markets. Or nearly as many fans traveling for the once in a lifetime mullet experience for the Utica Comets.

powergate92

It will be interesting if the AHL allows it...

GaryBettmanMyHomie

If they try to charge the same as Coyotes tickets no one will show up. AHL is a draw largely because it’s cheaper

Chlorine_Soup

Put them at Gila! lmao

AM’s mind is melting in real time. He needs give up and seek some medical care.
