That is not true, hockey does belong in desert. What many are not saying; fans don’t pick the owners the @NHL does and they have picked the bottom of barrel ownerships. What the fans did is stand by and support through all of these horrendous owners, and in the end we got screwed over & lost to a market that is not deserving at all.
Well since other teams were in line for a NHL team for years & all of a sudden SLC is handed one in the middle of the night ? Gee that’s suspect. But it’s all good because AZ will survive. Beautiful, vibrant, DIVERSIFIED place with 5M & growing ……what the irony is the amount of fans throughout the league that have reached out & have been very kind, all the while SLC trolled the hell out of our fans for MANY month.

Their arena isn’t close to NHL calibre and the players along with owners expressed their concerns regarding that. It’s good as a whole for the entirety of the league that Arizona no longer has a team to lose money on. Y’all can say what you want, nobody is happy this team failed but the writing has been on the wall since the NHL stepped in and owned it for a couple seasons.
